I’m glad he classed Alex as a Brit. I always feel sorry for him at silverstone where he isn’t mentioned as a home racing driver when he’s literally born and raised in London. It’s great he’s representing his Thai roots but if you can mention how lando and Max treat Spa as a second home race, to me its disrespectful how little is made of the same for alex

I class Zhou as a Brit too, as he moved over here as a child or teenager (I'm not certain right at this moment).

Nah, mate. Zhou is definitely not British. He's a good lad, but it's not remotely the same as Alex, who was born and raised in Britain. Especially since Zhou himself would never call himself British.
@@LSB001 that is my thought process too. Alex is a Thai Brit. I just think it’s a shame he isn’t included in the silverstone build up like lewis, George and Lando are. Max and lando get so much hype for being part Belgian and Alex doesn’t.

Im always surprised about how tall Alex actually is.
On topic, I have a good feeling about the season for Williams in general, and Alex Albon in particular. I hope to see them moving through the pack, and consistently and comfortably getting into Q3 with 1 or 2 cars, and scoring some good points.

Last season Alex made the Williams car look like it was the quickest non top team car
Crazy how different their careers went. George had the merc seat but had to wait at williams. Lando immediately settled at McLaren, and Albono went on a full rollercoaster

Alex recommended George to the karting team who signed him as he was at least a year ahead ,So it was nice that George returned the favour to Jos Capito ,when looking for his Williams replacement. Unsuprising those 2 are good friends .While Lando and George karted and finished 1/2 in F2 .George winning in his rookie year.

It may be a slow start for Williams with the new car philosophy, but no doubt in my mind they’re gonna the up and up

Actually, if you watch Kym Illmans' TH-cam video 'heightgate" from February 2023, they measured Lando.
He was claiming 1.75m but actually ended up being 1.77m after all.
They obviously get measured randomly for new race suits and he was a late bloomer for sure, but most definitely looks way way short compared to these two for sure.
The video is pretty funny as well, I'd give it a watch, there's some shenanigans in the video.
Plus, he did take his shoes off as well, so it was measured in a legit sense, cause if you'd look it up prior, it used to say (or might still do I'm not sure) that he's 1.7m
Cheers everyone! This video was funny with these 3, been a fan of LN4 since his rookie season, he helped pave the way for the 2020 twitch guys since he's been doing it longer, there's also a video called 'how Lando revolutionized F1' or something like that. (EDIT: The video is from 2020)
Of course, he wasn't the first to do this kinda thing, others actually paved the actual way, like Seb, etc etc and I believe there were older ones as well but my history of F1 is limited to like maybe 2015+ but I definitely wouldn't ever call myself knowing a lot compared to others, while I've been a part of motorsport myself, it was limited to 1/4 mile drag racing here in the USA, I wish I would've at least tried auto cross when I was younger but I stuck to drag strip and street racing.

Jim Rosenthal used to be the F1 interviewer for ITV. He would reiterate whatever he heard in his earpiece and then stare into space whilst holding the mic.
Nothing personal against him . But I agree he's terrible for f1 .
The generation of drivers a fantastic off track. It's nice seeing them interact and show their friendships but when the lights go out.... Stone cold killers.

They are definitely trying to convince people that 2024 and 2025 will be good. But truth is that no one is now focusing g on development of current cars, all focus is on 2026 so next two seasons will be a wash. May as well hand Verstappen next two championships now.
I think the teams are restricted from putting the 2026 car in the wind tunnel until the beginning of 2025 but Im not sure about any CFD restrictions on the cars. Newey will probably design the car in his head so RB will have a head start on the new regs, he is reaching retirement age so it might be the last regulation change he faces. With the teams getting closer it might be better to delay the regulation changes for a year or two.

Their careers will be over before you know it. I've watched F1 since 1991 and it's amazing how many drivers you see start their careers and retire 15 years or so later. Makes me feel old!

For me, the biggest shock is how small/short Norris looks standing next to those two. Both Alex and George claim to be 6'1" while Lando is still a respectable 5'7" (1ft is 30ish cm) not doing the conversions. I assume that the end of the season has left them all a little on the smaller side. Is it that they bulk up more over a season. This is one of two groups recognised in modern F1, Leclerc and Verstappen also drove some race seasons together didn't they
While in F3 Lewis Hamilton's teammate was Adrian Sutil and they raced against Sebastian Vettel.
