      They didn't outstrategise. They just did the opposite of whatever the McClarens were going to do. If McClarens did a 1 stop, they would do 2 and vice versa. It's easy to risk 3rd for the win. If Ferrari were leading, for sure, they would not have done a 1 stopper.

    Red Bull completely ignored Perez’s slump in the performance in the last 8 races bcoz of the fundamental car issue. They thought that it was Perez who was underperforming rather than the car itself. Max usually could make a bad car seem like a good car, until it is completely undrivable. They should’ve focused on improving the car based on Perez liking and Max would’ve squeezed the maximum out of it regardless. This phenomenon of car performance cloaking by Max was identified many years, which Red Bull didn’t learn from the past experience

    • @Lordsuhn
      @Lordsuhn 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I used to wonder if Red bull were the problem - so many drivers struggled next to max - and this explains it. Max is just next level (and I can't stand him and I believe this) and Red Bull no longer have any idea how to make a good car because of it.

      @@Lordsuhn It's not that Max was amazing. Don't get me wrong, he is one of the best drivers on the field, but it was common knowledge that the set-up of the car was a nightmare. Problem was, Max didn't mind it back then. The strange set-up suited Max's balls to the wall driving style. But now that is no longer the case. When Max tries to push the car now, its backend slides all over the place and he can no longer correct it like he used to. He is better than the likes of Perez, Albon and Gasly at taming the car but even he is struggling now.

      something i keep pointing out is that this car is the first red bull that Rob Marshall hasn't been involved in making since 2006. The man is clearly a great engineer with a knack for making the most out of the mechanical platform of the car, he's credited with coming up with the Renault mass damper system for instance. He joins McLaren and the first update he's got a hand in solves the age-old McLaren low-speed front handling woes. And promptly a mechanical handling problem presents itself in Red Bull. There are too many coincidences here to say that his departure hasn't had an effect.

      @@Jimmy_Moon They had garbage engines compared to the Mercs and Ferraris from 2014-2020. They were using Renault motors and switched to another underpowered Honda motor. They only 'caught up' because of the engine freeze that said that they all had to have the same power figures and they could no longer develop for power, only reliability. With 2026 going back to a more engine based formula, I expect to see Merc and Ferrari and MAYBE Audi take the reigns here. Whispers were RB's engine program isn't going so well, and every top player from RB has hit out at the 2026 engine regs in the media, while no other team has. Horner, Marko, Max and Newey all complained to the media about the new regs. As other teams are getting close on aerodynamics, the rest of the car is coming back to bite them. Newey does this all the time but the thing is he now didnt have any real input into the car for pretty much more than a year at this point so he wasnt really working on solving the problem (which he would otherwise do within a couple months no problem). Bing. Checo has not changed his opinion about the car. He’s been having the same complaints since his performance dropped 8-10 races ago, but it was masked by the other teams not being close to RedBull and by Max being able to handle it better. When they decided to keep Checo, they mentioned something about the data showing them that Checo’s issues would still be there with any other driver.

Simple front wing design for the 2019 season and onwards. They got rid of ‘party mode’ during qualifying in 2020. Until they managed to somewhat stop them in 2021 when they cut the floors of the cars which favored high rake teams like Red Bull and AlphaTauri. DAS was legal in 2020 but ruled out in 2021. @@Dakwiinn No it doesnt. When mass dampers were being banned they were being used literally the week before. Same thing also happened with McLaren's fiddle brake and more recently with Ferrari's fuel flow gate. No team would avoid using an advantage midseason if it hasn't been outlawed yet. You'd be somehow implying that Redbull modified their braking system as early as Canada and still managed to win 2 more races.

    Max Verstappen, to me, sometimes comes across as a bit of a crybaby in Formula 1. Don’t get me wrong-he’s incredibly talented and one of the best drivers on the grid, but his constant complaints on the team radio can be frustrating to listen to. It seems like every time something doesn’t go his way, he’s quick to blame other drivers or even his own team. I get that F1 is a high-pressure sport, and emotions run high, but it often feels like Max lets his frustrations get the better of him. It makes him look immature at times, even though I know it’s probably just his intense desire to win. I think as he grows older and gains more experience, he’ll learn to keep those emotions in check and focus more on his racing. For now, though, his outbursts can make him seem like he’s not fully in control.
