The Perfect Ube Cheese Pandesal Recipe

  • UBE CHEESE PANDESAL we tried this many times before publishing this video.
    I bet you this is the best recipe in the world!
    This was three days in the making and we finally got it right!
    It is combination of UBE (Purple Yam) Cheese and Pandesal or Filipino Bread Roll. The color makes the difference as it is very attractive suggesting the mind that it is delicious making this breakfast a delicious treat!
    Ingredients
    1 cup warm fresh milk
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 cup White sugar
    2 tsp dry yeast
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    2 cups plain flour
    1 cup bread flour
    1 tsp vanilla essence
    1 tsp ube flavoring or more (I personally added more for the looks)
    200g cheddar cheese
    1/2 cup bread crumbs
    Some tips when making dough raise, after 1 hour it may seem like it did not rise but just wait for a while and ensure you have the proper room temperature at least 30°C it's getting hot in Sydney now so it went well for us but it may be different for you so mindful of it.

    Ito ang recipe na lagi ko binabalikbalikan..Sumubk aq ng ibang recipe ng iba,pero ito pa din ang the best sabi ng mga nkakatikim..khit 3 days na malambot pa din ang tinapay..

    I've been baking this ube pandesal recipe for a while using this recipe. I just had to tweak it a bit by using 11/2 cups all purpose flour and 11/2 cups bread flour. I find the consistency of the bread better😊

    I only used AP flour as I want it to be really soft. It really turned out soft! Soft even after an hour out of the oven at roo temp.
    You can also retard the dough after the 1st rise (so you can bake it in the am) but it takes more time on the 2nd rise. I learned that the dough is easier to manually knead when you fully bloom the yeast like hers ~15 -20 mins. If the foam on the yeast isn't as thick, then it's not worth straining your hand & elbow for IMO bec the dough is going to be very tacky/sticky for ~20 mins!

    Yes. Thank you. For someone who's not in the Philippines and ube is hardly available, your recipe is perfect. What I like about your recipe is you're only using a tsp of ube flavoring. Nakakatipid. I've made this, just a hint of ube taste but its perfect for me.

    Di ba dapat breadcrumbs muna bago un final proofing kasi masisira ulit ang shape pag ginalaw mo ulit after final proofing.

    Salamat Po for this recipe. I made this today! So so yummy.. ik it can be hard to find bread flour but you can just use plain flour as a substitute. So instead of 2 cups use 3 cup flour and it works just fine. ☺️

    I tried this and it was really good, i added 1tbs ube extraxt para malakas ang ube favour, pero hindi mashado masarap ang ube extract kapag na luto. Mas masarap talaga kung ube halaya, pero walang ganyan dito sa canada, haha

    Hi. You said in your website na if walang bread flour (kapanahunan ng covid, simot ang bread flour. Hehehe) pwedeng gumamit ng regular na lang. So 3 cups? Or mag aadjust since walang bread flour? And also, wala akong ube flavoring, only ube yam jam lang. Mga ilang cups or tbsp kaya for this recipe? Thank you po!

    Thanks po sa recipe at na perfect ko din ang pandesal ko. Kailangan lang talaga i-bloom ang instant dry yeast bago mag prepare yung dry ingredients to make sure na mag rise ang dough. Kung hindi mag bloom it only means sira na ang yeast. My question is, ano po ang shelf life ng ube cheese pandesal?
