Hi, i am currently rebuilding my engine. And now i am at the part where i reassemble the starting meganism and magneto. These kind of vids helps me a lot! But i came up one a thing i cant figure out. Witch i hope somebody knows the answer. I installed all the parts the way the manuel described. The thing is that there is still some freeplay, about 0.5 cm, on the starter gear. (Big gear behind magneto). It moves from the crankcase to the magneto, and back when i push it with a finger. I think this is not the correct way it should be? Or is it?
@@Anactualrealperson i probably should make one about the ignition circuit. but the pickup coil thats next to the stator provides the timing pulse. the ecu then fires off the coils which fire the spark. only a few components there
@@Mad8vCycles right on thank you sir, my sv turns out it severed all its grown wires so I spliced them back together and am waiting on the gasket. Then I gotta put it back together and I should get normal spark
Gear cog seem OK locks one way It interlocked OK, people say starter clutch,, was working fine before I took off starter moter, that spins anti Clock wise off a battery, OK Is back on bike correctly just spins Won't engage
Thanks for posting

is the flywheel fully pressed on with the bolt tightened to spec? .5cm is tiny and could just be the free play it needs.
For the hyosung gt650 guys it works the same
yep, basically the same bike (even though everything is sliiiiightly different, it's the same basic design since svs were manufactured by hyo)
So what comes after? Or is spark a whole other deal?
spark is from coils/ecu/pickup not really where this video was going
@@Mad8vCycles man I’m just asking

Why would my starter be grinding and tearing up teeth
jammed gear? misaligned? bad starter clutch? open it up and take a look
Took my starter of for new bushes
Now just spins , wen hit button
