I have maybe 10-15 deaths all the way up through the mistlands on a world over 1240 days old and most are when I’m messing around with my brother, friend, or gear retrieval failures. The Ashlands has easily doubled my death count. lol It’s fun but so brutal. The other day I had 2 Morgens, 1 Valk, at least 2-3 Asksvins, and a host of skellies after me. So glad they have friendly fire
it seems clear they added friendly fire as a form of density mitigation. it exists in no other biome and it doesnt seem like they are going to back-fill it, since the previous biome arent balanced to use it.
seemingly any "area" attack in ashlands can deal friendly fire to any other mob, even same type. so the morgens were definitely slapping and headbutting each other, including when parry-staggered.
In the Misty Lands, Crossbows have increased to 80. Now 80% of the enemies of the Ash Lands die in the distance. Valkyrie with 3 bolts. Wars and Askigny with 2 Others from 1 And only with the Morgens is an interesting fight
Yesterday I fought three normal Morgens (without stars) at the same time. They interfered with each other))). Victory with shield and hammer. ( Difficulty: normal
My first starred morgen was in a putrid cave that i ran into to avoid a valkarie fight (i was new to ash and had always given valks a wide berth). Needless to say i was stuck in the cave fighting for my life, and had to use the central pillar to keep at a distance. After probably 5 minutes, me and frostner got it done, but i was bloodied and had sweaty palms

Was the fort ballista hitting the first fallen Valkyrie?

I like your melee strategy for searching with the valkyries. You have a lot of experience.

I prefer my bows from far away method, but also haven't ran into a starred morgen yet, let alone 2 at once
