@@LegionnaireScout that "Ocean" propably were triggered in water area that was counted as "Plains", that's why it can sometimes happen on shallow waters.
Great and helpful video dude. I’m doing a hardcore no map no portals play through and I’m glad to know the trolls don’t raid me yet. I have some more time to build walls lol
the scariest thing about the wolf event is said wolves only have a 2 second respawn cooldown so even if you have strong AOE you get basically no breathing room
Not sure when this was added but I have experienced an Ashland raid event. Like the wolves, this one occured when away from base structures. It created three charred spawning stones and droped in a random assortment of charred to fight. This occurred on a MP server with no mods. I have yet to experience it solo. It also occurred very soon after landfall, so no boss fight was completed. Perhaps, the trigger is after you destroy your first charred spawner or clear your first putrid hole as those were the only two things we had completed up to that point.
the way raids work is after you defeat a boss, the creatures associated with the boss of the next biome starts raiding you so now after the ashlands update once the queen is defeated you can start getting ashlands related raids. I wasn't aware they were like the wolf raid though. I thought the wolf raid was the only one of that variety
Don't fear the raids, just build to mitigate the damage, mote and stone walls or earthen walls works very well. Raids brings mats to your doorsteps, black metal, totems, wolf meat and skins, love being hunted, wolf kababs yum. Hate the Bat raid, destroyed crops fighting outside my building, destroyed stuff fighting inside my building, even glassing all my windows didn't help they just fly down the chimney. Lol
yeah thats smart. I think it was wise that they added this setting to the game. It enables a better experience for different players at different stages of progression
Step 1: cast Wild Staff vines. Step 2: stand in vines until everything is dead. For fliers: If fliers, use staff of embers (bats)/fracturing (everything else) to blow up and burn everything.
There is also a ghost raid with the ghost from both the Forest and the Swamp (Flying!). I cannot tell you the English text prompts since I play in German language.
I think there’s a guarantee raid right after defeating a boss for the first time. Just got a drake raid while building a tree house in the swamp, worst day ever😂
I actually didn’t know about the hilders raids! I’ve been fortunate enough to not encounter the fuljing raid or seeker raid yet and beaten all the bossses! Also if you build a base on an island and cover every area nothing will spawn! The exclamation point will be there but nothing will spawn!
Yep when I build in the plains I try to find an island to build on! Also I try to find a small island mistlands to grow crops on so the bad guys can’t attack them!
thats definitely possible. Basically if you don't meet the conditions when the event timer hits, it skips the event. If you're not spending a lot of time at your base, you'll likely avoid them a lot
I'm on Xbox, patiently awaiting Ashlands Update. I wonder if i tweak the World Modifier Settings once, but set them all back to normal afterwards, will that negatively impact my vanilla playthrough? Do these modifiers change the background metadata used for developer analytics? Surely IronGate collect metadata from each and every user. Right?
I don't think it will negatively impact your playthrough. I can't say what data Iron Gate are capturing but I think its fair to speculate they are capturing some
Question: What happens if you only kill Modor? I have a no boss world to see how far I can get and for relaxing exploration. Modor is a hard stop on tech. If I kill her, will I only get the Fuling raids or will others unlock? I want to ruin the vibes as little as possible and don't want to bring tears from other worlds
Good question! my best gues sis the unlocking/locking of the raids is still tied to the boss kills. So if you do kill Moder without killing any of the other bosses I'd guess you would unlock Moder's army but not Bonemass's army as an example
Wolf raid correction: it requires being in mountain or plains biome and can happen both outside and inside the base structure radius.
Great correction. Pinned! Thank you
Also, I had an experience where it spawned about 35 wolves. I was in a friend’s world so I don’t know if that changes anything.
The wolf raid happens a lot for me, once it jumped me in the middle of the ocean …
@@LegionnaireScout that "Ocean" propably were triggered in water area that was counted as "Plains", that's why it can sometimes happen on shallow waters.
you have been hunted... in hardcore mode has got to be the most anxiety thing to happen..
Its so freaking terrifying! I'm with you
gotta be quick and build a workbench and raise the ground underneath you or find another quick solution
Yeah jumped on a rock and hoped for the best lol@@chtyldubreux5950
Star correction: Besides the Hildir events, the Gjall events can also spawn starred Ticks
Good catch. i didn't realize that. I think I've only ever been subject to one Gjall event. Thank goodness!
Actually super informative video, lots of things I didn't know!
Glad you learned something new!
Nice information and presentation! Today I learned, there’s server settings for raid events!! Thanks for sharing! 🍻
Heyyy, glad you learned something new John!
I once had a Foul Smell From The Swamp show up while I was in the mountains spawning off of just campfires and an insane roll lmao
oh man that sucks so bad hahaha

alot of people on my server play solo so i enabled player based raids so they dont get smashed by something higher tier than them.

On the swamp idk when but they remove the blob great video dude !!!!
What do you mean removed the blob? Glad you enjoyed the video though man
@@SpazzyjonesGaming on the swamp raids slime would also attack you along side skeletons and draugrs.
ooh I gotcha. So i think the split it up. Now there are two swamp raids. 1 with blobs/oozers and another with draugrs/skellys@@Slayer44556

The surtling raid does not need bonemass to be killed, ive noticed in my server.
It depends on your raid settings. If it's world progress it does. If it's player progress it doesn't
The second I get my hands on a hoe those raids ain’t got nothing on me or my base (except for the raids with flying enemies, those are horrid)
Disabled raids. Dumbest feature in the whole game.
yeah its not everyones favorite
if i have a mountain base, can it be raided by trolls.
nope
I have mastered raids
