    I have been on a Plant Based Diet since 2014. It took me almost 2 years to get the diet to be satisfactory when I realized that more starch was required, which I learned from you. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, pasta, barley, quinoa, sour dough and whole grain bread and rolled oats are what have allowed me to stay on this diet. Plenty of fruit, vegetables, (peas, beans, lentils), raw nuts and seeds. I was cured of hepatitis C in 2014 with the new treatment for the disease but had early stage 4 liver disease because of hepatitis c which was confirmed by blood tests, ultrasound, FibroScan and symptoms. My liver looks completely normal now on Ultrasound FibroScan and my liver blood tests are all normal now. You are one of a few Doctors that have helped me get here. Dr T Colin Campbell is high on my list as well.

      So you were on the Starch Solution diet to help your cure your liver disease conditions ?

    • @relaxgood512
      @relaxgood512 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OP-mz3hr I had to increase the starch in my diet in order to be satisfied on a Plant Based Diet. I also eat plenty of fruit vegetables peas beans and lentils with no limits and nuts seeds and avocados.

      @@relaxgood512 That's so great you were able to cure your liver issue. I am asking because I have a friend who is also having similar medical issue with the liver. I want to gain from your experience to see if you did the Starch Solution diet and was able to heal just from that. Or you also did other medical treatment in addition to do the Starch Solution diet.
      Thanks for sharing.

    Remember when Dr McDougal lived in Hawaii in the 80's and had a radio show on K108.

    Again, Dr. McDougall, you have brought us the truth. This is a master class on the history, and on where we are going, where we are with our food life, and health. Wish I'd have accepted it all sooner, but no time like the present to adopt it all, and make the rest of my life as healthy as I can. Thank you.

    A fabulous and fascinating talk. I am so grateful that ONE person of vision captured the word of Doctors Denis Burkett and Nathan Pritikin on video. They, along with Dr John MacDougall, are the pioneers and we owe them all a debt of gratitude.

    Switched from vegan diet to whole food plant based starch diet, lost an additional 15 lbs. (had already lost 10).

    Its After my opinion a very optimal diet - quite easy to follow, when you learn to make starch as the basic. Rice, Millet, rolled oats, buckwheat, potatoes, sweat potatoes, lentils, beans and all the rainbow colors of vegetables, fruits, and small amounts of nuts and seeds. It would be even easier if it was possible to buy food prepaired according to these principles . 🎶🍀🎵💚🙏

    really awesome video! I loved the fact that Dr McDougall brought us his past and made us connect with his mentors plus the politics part was really engaging. We're really proud of you because I'm sure what you're saying it's going to echo into the future as well, as you're our mentor currently!

    I had to skip the park with the Obama's. I am not sure you have the right to tax people on the food people eat. It's better to educate people and they make their choices. Otherwise good information.

    He said in the beginning you can't change people, so how can you convince them to change their diet? Pritikin had poor health his whole life and no medical training so why follow him?
    Obama says he eats 4-6 eggs every day for breakfast, he likes burgers and chocolate but stays slim and fit with exercise.

    • @russorod2776
      @russorod2776 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personal choice and most people change their way of eating due to something traumatic happing in there health.Pritikin probably lived longer than he was supposed to due to changing his eating habits.Obama genetics play a role and exercise,and he probably doesn’t overeat as far as eggs they been given a bad rap.Everything in moderation is the key.It also doesn’t hurt to be a former president there medical is outstanding.You remember bill Clinton he went from McDonald’s to vegan and it’s improved is health dramatically.I’ve never heard of people having chronic health problems from eating vegetables.
