Thanks so much!! I've been looking for a great caramel sauce! Watching you ladies make this, gave me a craving for apple crisp...now with caramel sauce! 😋
The more tart the apple the better for crisp (in my opinion); I’m from upstate NY originally, so that means Cortland, Rome, Stayman and Northern Spy!!🍎And I ❤️your addition of “secret ingredient “ CARAMEL!!!
Would love the recipe. Tip on taking the cork off was me. Once you peel the apple, push the lever to pull back to start position and when you pull back the cork pops right off😀.
@@anniemcelroy2812 i don’t think that it comes off without pulling on the core ,especially with fresh apples. I wish that someone would make one that not only is easy to remove the core but centers the apple better without guessing
That looks so good. Yesterday I worked for a couple of hours planting up our bean bed. I was so tired when I came back into the house to be greeted by the smell of a rhubarb crumble baking. I didn't know my husband was going to make it, he tops it off with vanilla sugar and I swear the baking smell alone was almost enough to renergise me!
Favorite apples Fuji or Gala (they cross polinate really well too) i add chopped walnuts to the crumble and dont throw away the apple peelings or core, use them to make scrap apple vinegar.
We love honeycrisp so much so we planted 2 honeycrisp trees this year. ❤ we also have golden delicious trees, but honeycrisp is our favorite too😉 we go to our local orchard and buy enough honeycrisp cider to can 100 jars to we can enjoy it over winter on our woodstove! The kids told the guy this year our cider lasted til March this year, he said you lasted longer than us!😂🙌 we can our own Carmel too!😋
I’ve made this recipe 2 times now for my coworkers and they think I’m a superstar! I use my homemade apple pie filling that I canned last fall. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the recipe! I have made it three times… The first time I wrote down the recipe while watching the video and it came out perfect… The second time I printed off the recipe from your TH-cam page and it was terrible! The third time (right now) I watched the video and it is perfect. On the print out page you are missing the vanilla - what a difference the vanilla makes! Thanks for sharing your families talents!
I usually use a Granny Smith apple in my pies. The tart flavor is so perfect along with the sugars used. I loved watching this! I'm so glad that I came across your video! Thank you so much! I really need one of those apple peelers! ❤🍽🍎
Wonderful so glad that you're enjoying it! Don't forget to hit that subscribe button :-) Additionally, this link might help you finding that apple peeler 😉 amazon.heartwaymembers.com/
i always use a mixture of apples for more flavor it also works for homemade apple sauce, I have also learned to put a few table spoons of water and cook in microwave a couple of minutes then top with mixture and bake.
All time favorite apple for everything is the honeycrisp apple for sure. Good for fresh eating and that slight tart makes it so good for cooking too. Like you, we are big crumble people so I always double that part. The addition of the caramel looked so good. Share the recipe please!
I just made this and put it in the oven! You didn't say how much of the caramel sauce to put in so, i just winged it after watching that part of your video like 5 times! I know, I know.....I can't wait for it to come out....and yes, sit til it's time to eat. Thank you!
Brought your apple crisp to our family gathering and it was a big hit. Can’t wait to try your crispy bread recipe. Thank you from our house to yours. ❤️

I've been making it up as I go this year. The crisp I do is usually equal parts flour and brown sugar. Cut in some fat of some sort, usually butter. Put over peeled and chopped apples. Bake covered at 350 for about an hour and a half.
We share the delicious caramel sauce recipe in this video: th-cam.com/video/gPljlQvuncM/w-d-xo.html
