I think when people are asking about Sue, it just means that together you are a great team and she is missed. Rather than being put off about the mention of Sue, recognize it as an indication that you have a winning combination.

I will admit old and sometimes even chipped "too beautiful to leave" tea cups get succulents in them, and they sit on the wee shelves near my sink. I adore looking at them.
For those wondering about drainage... put a thin layer of aquarium (plain) gravel on the bottom, then some activated charcoal (also aquarium or planting supply) then a bit of Perlite... then your soil... plant the succulent and top the soil layer with small pieces of the aquarium gravel and it won’t need the soil changed for a very long time... just let the soul get dry between watering and never make the soil soggy... 😁👍

@Michelle Av I have some lovely old porcelain tea cups that were my mother's. These are ones with small cracks or chips and I've made them into succulent planters by carefully drilling a hole with a drill bit designed for glass and pottery. I haven't broken one yet, and have about 10 of them.

One of my favorite parts of shopping with Sue is ... CART INSPECTION! It’s a mini haul within a video and a nice break in the middle of shopping videos. 😉✌🏼 She is so knowledgeable... I doubt she spends much of her shopping time , running comps, even if she had a signal. 🤣🤣

Anybody that's ever had a true, adult bestie should know they don't let go of or give up on one another easily! Even when I don't talk to my old besties for a while, when life, work schedules, or families must come first, we still know we're there for one another and simply a phone call or even a text away. It's a bond like sisters.
Nice haul! All those owls...and I love, love, love those wooden Siamese kitties!! The set of glasses were beautiful. The best thing was the desk for $3.00! ❇️❇️

The Seminole doll is palmetto leaves, the dolls without the Ric rack are the old ones. I'm Cherokee with family married into the Seminole tribe.

Hi! The little container Sue said is for perfume is actually the bottom of a miniature oil lamp. I have it.

Really enjoyed this video. Enjoy all your videos but I especially love this video's segment of Sue's cart. Just letting her talk, no loud music interrupting, no other voices in the background. Very enjoyable, interesting and relaxing. And thank you both for saving all those lovely pieces from the bins. You also are doing a great job of avoiding music copyright. Much nicer than having to try to hear you guys talk over music.

The Seminole doll is a wonderful find! It is made from palmetto fiber and sometimes sweetgrass not corn husks.

I adore Both You and Sue but I must say that Sue is a bit misinformed about a few of her finds. 1. The swans are from Dollar Tree.
2. The Irice perfume bottle is actually the base from a tiny decorative oil lamp. 3. The mid century lipstick case is not any older than the 90’s and is from Indonesia. My parents sold them at swap meets along with the cats.
Also... that meat carving tray is George Briard.. very Cool.

I had that lipstick case in the early 2000s. It was new. My sister had one too. It looks old but it’s not. Love watching your videos. Thx for sharing. Btw do people think Sue lives with you. Lol. In the past I have used single salt or pepper shakers to display stickpins I collected. Just something you can do with a lone shaker and a group of singles makes the display more interesting.
I love the glasses. They remind me of the old fashion soda cups in the 50’s that had a scoop of ice cream in the bottom and soda on the top of that. And two straws for the couples. 🦋🌸

I don't believe the lipstick case is as old as you think. ( mid 30's to mid 60's) I remember buying a similar one back in the 80's when I was a teenager and I know I wouldn't have spent much on it back then and probably purchased it a place like Claire's in the mall. You can find similar ones new now made in West Bengal.

That meat dropping tray.... well I bought one that was metal (not sure of its makeup) to put on a plate stand for display. Before I truly realized what it was I saw it on the thrift store shelf and thought it looked like a sea plant of some sort or coral. Because I have an affection for anything pertaining to the ocean I bought it. The only person who knew what it was when they saw it in my kitchen was my mom. 😊
