According to Lexus, 60% of the parts on the LM are unique and not shared with Toyota Alphard/Vellfire
Anything with you and David from Automotive Press is always a treat. Watching you guys geek out over details is too fun!
Very smart to team up with Dave! He got all the connections in Japan!
We need this kind of luxury vehicles in the states!
I like the collaboration with these 2 gentlemen.
YES! Please bring the LM to North America!
I am not going to even lie. This is coolest minivan I have ever seen. I would love to ride in the back of this one...Sheesh. 🙂
LX deserve this kind of luxury inside
Thats what i would have expected. Then have the outlander get the current interior set up.
Lx is offroad giant, complete different car and market...
At least it’s shows they’re capable
@@avdp9095isn’t that the GX?
@@arkram8733 Lx is for the Middle East, Dubai etc. They love the Lx.
better than a boring Mercedes van
No other japanese luxury brands comes close to lexus from a luxury stand point from their performance v8 sedans, the insane cool looking lc500 convertible and all, lexus is just the Mercedes Benz of Japan
Lexus, Infiniti are luxe subsidiaries like Audi in Japan.....
Toyota, Nissan are parent companies comparative to Volkswagen .....
Mercedes-Benz is BMW equivalent of luxe parent companies own budget/more attainable brands
@@vindarusurianam71 yeah I know that, but between Acura lexus and infinity, lexus seems to better luxury vehicles than those brands, Acura tends to rely more on sportiness than luxury, I don't even know what to say about infinity
WOW!! The Lexus LM 500h is really beautiful. Too bad it won't come the the States.
Because US customers do like things to be more refined than a Chev, Dodge, Ford. It's like Toyota Camry / Lexus "boring" still going 20+ years later. US made rotting in a farm after 5 years.
Hi David& Kirk!
This is one of my favorite Lexus vehicles….🇯🇵🤍❤️
Cool! Japanese minivans - even some of the standard ones - will always be amazing! But also the practicability in the k microvans.
Many Japanese vehicles have (live) TV.
I wish they had live blow-jobbers instead.
Already 250 plus preorders in the UK!!!! Great suc6, given the high price of the car.
Please review the century sedan and SUV version because there is very rare to see new century review with english speaker 🙏🙏
Great job. Keep em coming!
I like the interior, thanks Kirk 😀
You guys make a great team
Love how much in awe you two were with the Lexus 😊❤!
Kirk and David, Is this an expensive luxury van or a bargain multiplex movie theater on wheels? 🤔
I think Toyota should follow in this MPV line, the VW ID Buzz round lines. They seem to fit better the MPV layout, rather than sharp and bold lines.
That is what make Toyota stand out and become eye catcher in Toyota cult
very interesting video guys
Kirk you should totally design/tell Dave he needs some "mind the gap" merch 🤣hope your having fun in JP here some scratch for the Saki&Sushi fund.
Haha thanks! Japan was unforgettable. Can't wait to go back
LM anytime above a S class..., Lexus build quality so much better.
Surprised it's only 150k USD. That's a bargain for that level of comfort and luxury.
Well that is over 20,000,000 yen, very expensive for Japan. I doubt it'd be that price in the US.
Yeah, and I believe you will be allowed to offer to the dealer way more to feel satisfied.
I think that's the starting Price for the 7 seater. It's more expensive for this ultra Luxury 2 seat configuration in the rear. It's closer to 200k. It has been reviewed by that popular German guy in Europe and he disclosed the pricing and equivalent in dollars
Need to bring it to the USA and Puerto Rico . Yes please 🙏
This is the emperor edition. They also make 6 seats config too
Dude.... it's nice!
Yes, this must come to North America!
Imagine a LM CONVERSION KIT FOR THE SIENNA. Grill, head light , tail lights etc….
Two completely different vehicles, the parts wouldn't fit.
The exterior styling isn’t what makes the LM desirable
True, but when your on a budget a conversion kit would be nice.
This would be better than an escalade in the uber black segment.
❤ from Thailand
This is a dream boat beautiful beautiful beautiful 😍 🤩
Wat an amazing vehicle. Lexus. Just an incredible company
Bring this to Canada and I will buy one! ❤ 48” screen TV, ML surround sound system, and VIP first class seats at the back…how can you say no?
Easy. I won't pay 150000 for an ugly mini van. Id buy a van for 30000 and add tv and captains chairs and save 100000 for a house with a garage to park it.
@@stephankyle6460 the LM isn’t for everyone. If you don’t understand the VIP minivan culture, then this isn’t the minivan for you.
@@stephankyle6460 well thats because you dont want luxury and thats ok. but for many they want luxury
If it is 150k in Japan, it will be 250k in Canada
I'm making my trip to the Japan Mobility Show today, not sure if I'll see you or David there to say hi. Keep up the solid content & enjoy Japan
Have fun! I'm already back stateside
@@KirkKreifels Glad to hear- Hope you get more invites to international showcases! I got the Kayoi Bako from the gachapon machine at Toyota btw - just like my fav concept car from them!
Bring it to America
Yes bring it to the US with the right advertising it’ll sell!
very nice👍👍👍👍👍
Yes id love to see this here but in a traditional set up meaning normal front cabin no divider wall, normal 3 row bench or 2 captains chairs with a third row. Leave this trim here as an option up high for high rollers mark it for 70k and absolutely you'd have a new segment all your own.
70-150k
Yesss
To be fair, the Toyota Alphard is pretty close to what you said (though the price started around 100k)
that grill reminds me of the pasta bow ties
Wow tons of new videos with @AutomotivePress Great collab!!
I think that it makes sense for them to release a 3rd generation lexus minivan alongside the possible solid state ev sienna.
That Grill LOL!
Yes bring it. Strip some lux.
Nice
Enjoyed watching you two together. Interesting team. Keep going on with Japanese products.(TMC first priority)
One thing I have not noticed to this point is any type of seatbelts. Are they required in Japan? If I was a really rich person, I would have one of these in my garage. Just truly amazing!
I don't understand why this isn't available here in the United States. It should be.
LM has the best 2nd row hands down‼️ 20:50 💯
Wow 🤩👍
TV plays while driving too.
I wanna see you drive and review the Honda Beat.
The front end looks like an old time RR locomotive with a cow catcher.
put 3 rows in this thing and bring it to the US, it'll sell like hotcakes.
Perhaps if they made a lm that is configured to be just a luxury version of the sienna that is cheaper and then a lm vip configuration like this one that goes for way more.
It's almost impossible to buy a Toyota Sianna in Canada, and now this LM Lexus, forget it. Order it today, get it in 5 years.
Bring a Lexus minivan to the USA!
You didn’t show what it looks like from the driver seat. I wanted to see what the gauges look like.
To be fair, this specific trim is used for Chauffeur ride more than anything so the focus is gonna mainly from the backseat
just what this world needs... an SUV with a cow catcher.
They plan to sell Vans in the US?
Bring it to California!
It looks wild and sci-fi but if it’s Lexus, it’s cool.
I think if it had a strobing red light in the dark slot under the hood+logo then it would look like a Cylon.
Not the most expensive lexus ever though. I believe the Lexus LFA was the highest with a cost north of $375k .. but wow, I love this Lexus LM. Could this be done to a Sienna here in the states?
I’ve seen conversion siennas elsewhere but I’ve never seen one for the states.
forgot about the LFA in the pricing compare.
Outlier haha
It looks amazing. Not so sure about front design
why they not sale in usa ... i need that one
$150k USD for an MPV. Tricky sell in the US.
Wow
I need this in the US :(
I often think is this a missed market in the US in that there would be a market but its not being tapped? I think of all the ballers, put this in a few videos, songs, and maybe find an "Escalade" in success? Thats just pop, which i admit would be a small market so then you have wealthy individuals and business owners, families... would they take this over an Escalade? Id explore it! What do they need in sales to make it worth their time? Im guessing it would sell 1k per month easy.
6:54 OK YES!!!!!!!! ILL TAKE IT!!!!! 😂🤩
No because in the us a luxury van needs to be bigger like a sprinter van. A luxury van like this would only work places where space is extremely limited like in Japan
@@Big.W.Ehh, these types of vans are pretty much a popular type of luxury vehicle in Asia in general, not just Japan.
@@AbrahamArthemius I think for America Atleast when you’re talking about luxury vehicles, it has to have presence. The LM just doesn’t make quite a statement in comparison to an Escalade despite it being far more efficient in many ways. Plus, you can’t avoid the minivan stigma. The American luxury market is based on the ideals of excess and something is logical as the LM wouldn’t fit in.
This is the kind of vehicle I would see in a 90s film where they depict what futuristic cars would be lol.
Kirk, are you going to see the 2025 ES 300h at the show?
Saw some ES on the streets of Tokyo, wasn't at the show.
Thanks
That front end looks like a Cylon Centurion from Battlestar Galactica. 😏
You could plow a driveway of snow without a plow. Perfect for snowbelt.
Just be sure to apply a protective coating to the underside.
Looking at most of the comments, this is not a minivan for family. This is an office on wheels for business people. These type of VIP vans are more understood in asian than in North America. For those complaining about price, this is already a bargain for the level of quality that you get. If you want something cheaper this is obviously not for you.
bring to america
There really no luxury vans in the US. Minivan lovers who have some money would likely buy this. Definitely striped down a bit.
The TX would have looked much more imposing if it had this front end.
This as a Uber would be sick af
surprisingly low headroom. I guess the battery pack is in the floor?
As an American who loves minivans, it's depressing to know it will more than likely never see the United States because of America's obsession with SUVs...good thing I moved to Australia, where it actually IS coming!!!
Why we don’t have that quality on the tx
That would make the TX $100k
@@KirkKreifels I meant that it would be nice if they put some wood on the dashboard I’m not expected to be that much like the LM.
Hmm, a front-end that only a mother can love.
The T.V should still play while driving
18:50 I agree w/ Kirk if you were to import this here you'd want to take it down several pegs. Id still keep this trim reserve it for "bespoke" or something like that. But yea id love to see this w/ a traditional set up but nice.
Kirk. Is the 2024 Lexus LM Minivan coming to America anytime soon? Lexus. Please bring the LM Minivan to North American Market.
I, too, want the LM to come to North America, but the massive price tag just makes its potential appearance nearly impossible. T_T
I want one even though I am in the United States.
Kirk sneak one back in your luggage for me 🙏
I have a wheelchair accessible Toyota sienna, this thing would be sick to convert for wheelchair accessibility. But the cost… Converting it could cost 30 to 40 grand as well.
Only in your dreams... The LM AFAIK does not have the "well cab" option as in the Al/Vell models......
I think the Toyota Alphard/Vellfire would be a much more suited MPV for wheelchair accessibility.
they have to do something about the design tho
8:12 Wait those are not for your feet?
9:30 See open the glove compartment there and put your fee on it. 😉😊
The grills devolve
I can't say I like anything about the front of that Lexus, yuck! Now the interior is amazing. Those rear seats and luxury is absolutely amazing.
Lexus marketing guys are stupid, bring 6 seats vision to USA I’ll promise going selling like crazy
Lexus just redesigned front,,, rear and new interior of Nissan quest…
What are Lexus waiting for? Just build a camper I'd be crazy for one
I don’t understand the hybrid theory? No power and redundant of power and expense? Two engines that is gutless ? Never would I buy one . I own a Ram TRX 702 hp , 650 lb ft of torque and a Lexus LC 500 and both V8 power and fun not boring !
Use guts make a great team. Let's have more colobrations..
12:33 I used to work at a Bentley dealer and they are wonderful cars, and if you have the money then yea. But they don't do plastics at all. You'd be hard pressed to find any, I've seen some plastic in a few shots from this but its HALF the price of a BASE Bentley so hold all that together. Not quite apples to apples. This looks flash, but in a tasteful way.
To America? For real?
Almost impossible to sell this in the USA for anything over 65k
...yet Americans will hastily spend upwards of $100,000 to buy a loaded Cadillac Escalade.😕
