    You should do a comparison test on how the turbo sounds with, and without the silencer ring

    The truck sounds really good. Ive got an 05 g56 truck and would really really love to put either the stealth 64 or the fleece cheetah into next...

      Awesome, I thought about of for a few years until I pulled the trigger when it was on sale. The thing I noticed is a lot of retail websites will send you a sale offer if you go place parts in a cart. Lots of places will send discounts after a couple days. Saving a few bucks is always nice.

      @@LazyDWorx Heck yeah that's what I'm probably looking out for is a big holiday sale. Black Friday and Christmas sales last year were nuts but I wasn't ready. Did you have to run a boost fooler with the stealth 64? I see several people that run into not being able to hit more that mid-20 pounds of boost without one

    • @LazyDWorx
      @LazyDWorx  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@johnlindsay2179 no boost fooler, but I do have my Smarty Jr. tuner which allows the boost over 40 psi, with the factory programming it will not boost over 30 psi.

      @@LazyDWorx ooh okay I see. Right now I have no tune or monitor/gauges at all. Relatively close to stock truck. I was considering buying the Banks Automind 2 but I'm not sure. What's the Smarty like? My truck is my daily driver for work and also a service truck for roadside truck assistance calls and I tow a few times every month. Not wanting to make much more over stock performance because then I've got to start diving into supporting mods...

      @@johnlindsay2179 the Smarty Jr has 3 power level settings. I think 30hp, 70hp, & 100hp. For a generic plug and play tuner they seem to be what most people really like. Banks does make a ton of great products that they really do their homework on when developing but I don’t have any experience with their stuff yet. I bet for gauges and a tuner the banks package is probably a really good option. Having gauges is a good idea when you start making changes to the tuning of the truck, peace of mind with more data.

    Great video. I recall in the first one you mentioned your EGTs were higher than with the stock unit. Did you ever reach a solution for that?

    • @LazyDWorx
      @LazyDWorx  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I talked to Calibrated power and they said that the EGTs will stay lower and full load which has been the case, even when I do extended full throttle runs they get to about 1200F which is still safe. Since I’ve had the pyrometer it has really taught me how to drive different to keep the EGTs lowers. Less low rpm lugging and leaving it in lower gears letting the engine rev higher actually creates lower temps.
