I grew up on the South Island of New Zealand in the 80’s, my neighbour Mr Lambert had one just like this, absolute tank of a thing, he worked for the forestry commission I think, but his FJ45 literally spent none of its working life on tarmac roads. Gravel and forest tracks mainly. It was still at work until about 2011 according to Google street view. Testament to the durability of these old things!
