This a amazing machine. My only wishlist is a better Webcam for the next gen. I hope Lenovo doesn't do any radical 'overhaul'. We Thinkpad users a pretty conservative lot and that's what I like about Thinkpad.
Thank you Diaz. When it comes to real life comparison, I couldn't tell, because I do not own a MacBook, but I am sure you can look it up on both machines' technical spec-sheets. It all comes down to one's preference. Go to an electronic store if possible, look at both in person and pick the one that you think will bring you more joy and comfort.
Thank you Arianne. The MacBook M1 and the X1 Gen8 are worlds apart. In this case, a lot would depend on which OS/environment you favor most. I would personally chose the X1 over any Mac, but some people swear by their Macs. It is more of a, "whatever floats your boat" question.

I would also add a slightly larger trackpad to that wish list. But even with its small flaws, I agree, it is an amazing machine.
May I add Ryzen 4800u with 60wh battery then it would be Amazing indeed
