MPHT should be renamed as MUJE RONA AYA THA. All three are shown whining and crying episode after episode to the extent that they have started looking like druggies. The time that is left in the episodes is filled up by toxic aunties on both sides. If Maheer doesn’t want to go back to Areeb, why is she still crying? I think we, the audience gave enough time to Maheer to come out of her emotional turmoil, so please don’t make the drama a torture for us.

MPHT: The primary reason Maheer's character is so unbearable to me is because she is incredibly self-absorbed. She doesn't have to love Saad, it's her right, but the fact that she had 0 idea about his emotions even before Areeb came into his life shows how she doesn't pay attention for long enough to what's happening around her. You can say Saad should have said something, but being shy is far more respectful than being self-absorbed. Even if she doesn't want to reciprocate his love, being oblivious to it reveals a character flaw that makes her unlikable to me.
Saad and Mahir are same character, mahir is self-absorbed but last episode she talk sense a bit standing Infront of Areeb... but saad to me is a very big disappointment..he is very plain..he is also self absorbed...he loves a girl who doesn't love him due to which he is sad and this becomes a reason for her sister to taunt mahir continuously..mahir don't know how saad feels..so this is making her life more miserable...saad should have some say of his own...from last 2 episode mahir has become little bearable but saad is going to that zone of being unbearable

Her father has taken severely ill she does think about how miserable SHE is. And believe it or not she is not very likable however the recent conversation with Areeb did undo some of the damages.
@@drsympathy6488 yes she is thinking about herself but to me that's justified because everything is revolving around her.. she fall in love but it didn't work out..no one blamed Areeb, she is the one who's being character assasinated, her dad is unwell, mahir is been blamed, faha came in the function n create Ruckus, mahir is blamed, neelo didn't get marriage proposal, mahir is blamed, saad is sad n starting smoking, mahir is the reason..so neelo started blaming her.. everyone is blaming Mahir..no one has ever said anything to saad neither Areeb..the male lead are just sad because they didn't get their love while on other side mahir has been the target from start by society, family..so how can we expect mahir to be happy n go on just because saad stands up for her..areeb stands up for her.. that's a no.. mahir is the one who's going through this all .not saad nor Areeb. On why Mahir can't understand saad's emotions, 1) she is so clouded with lots of things around her, things started to unfold every time she tries to move on, she didn't even get a time to think about him 2) she had never seen saad in that way..she has always seen saad as a best fren, cousin because what saad is doing now he has been doing from start..so that's not new to mahir..so she can't develop sudden feelings for him. On the contrary she always takes stands for saad..be it Infront of her mom, be it in front of areeb..she can be angry with saad in their closed doors.. that's their privacy but she nvr disrespect or bad mouth about saad in front of people.
CT : CT is throughly enjoyable and progressive. The reason why I love Saima akram's writing is, she always keeps the story engaging with dose of laughter, and adds some elements of progressiveness, shows family values.
At first I thought CT is okayish but it has grown on me.The moment when Dr razia told safiya chachi that she's expecting, it immediately reminded me of ayushman's film "badhai ho" 😅 it's good that everyone was happy about it.
Sarim is mature and cute, danish is playing it very well and after sarim tara's father character has become my favorite. Actually, all the characters of this drama have grown on me. Every one is doing good except danish Nawaz. I mean he better do direction coz he's a much better director than an actor. Ayeza looks stunning as always and performing very well. Danish and ayeza's chemistry is really cute.
#UnpopularOpinion: #ChandTara and #FairyTale are actually very pleasant dramas. People were too harsh over these two dramas. I would suggest people to watch these shows for what it is. Chand Tara is a light hearted, fun, family entertainment with a very cute romantic track and NOT an out and out comedy genre. Fairytale is a sunshine girl x Grumpy guy track. These two shows are better than the 8 pm prime time dramas like Pyaari Mona, Yunhi, MPHT which are boring and stagnant.
Nobody is going harsh over chand tara, majority is loving and enjoying it. Fairytale is on the other hand in extremely boring with the forced comedy, no doubt Hamza has done a great job and is the saving grace.
I agree about Fairy Tale. Its very endearing and comforting to watch especially with a fresh cast that have good chemistry with each other.
As for Chand Tara, I am not a fan of it. It feels as if its trying to hard to show its funny and its cute and its such a lovely family which can sometimes venture into unrealistic territory. But Danish is absolutely amazing in it. Very natural and funny.
I like chand tara, Fairy tale and tere aane se..they are funny n good to watch but heer da hero..sorry it's very boring..i m enjoying yunhi and MPHT..

People are fed up of Ayeza’s comedy dramas but I’d watch that over Hania aamir crying in another drama any day. Like we get it - she can cry really well but it’s just miserable seeing women weep on tv in every episode of every drama they sign. In Mere Humsafar she cried in every single episode and now the same thing is happening in MPHT. Writers need to learn how to emote their characters in other ways. There’s a reason why Ramadan dramas do so well

I haven’t seen Chand Tara but I agree the view on Ayeza Khan - I believe she has done too many of the similar roles in Ramadan drama’s now. She should definitely do something different. I’m really looking forward to her performance in upcoming drama with Hamza in Jaan e Jahan - I have a feeling this will be a Mere Pass Tum Ho type blockbuster for Ayeza and her performance will be impeccable. She is my favourite actress & I really want to see her in a top leading role and different to what shes currently doing. She is without a doubt one of the top names of actress’ in Pakistan.
Agreed! We need to see her opposite wahaj and Bilal as well. But Jaan e jahan is very exciting especially for people who loved Pyarey Afzal. Hopefully it’ll be as memorable even though I doubt another drama can reach that level

Danish is the highlight of Chand Tara no doubt! I think that after doing several similar roles people really wanted him in a lighter shade and he is fantastic in it! I cant help but remember Shamsher as it is so fresh. Im really enjoying danish in chand tara. Yes a third ramzan drama shouldve been a big no no for ayeza but in isolation if you forget about the other two they both do look cute! Ofcourse her get up needs to change tho! Overall its a cute drama.

Amna your article abour wahaj ali on SH was so well written. I started following his work only after ehd-e-wafa, then after he gave some exceptional performances in DNUTN, Ishq jalebi, JBG, GPM and now the bang Tere bin and MPHT. It feels great to see the kind of love and appreciation he's getting for his work these days.

I am liking Danish Taimur as Sarim, Chand. He is looking and acting well. Refreshing to see him in this character after a series of toxic hero roles. Ayeza , sadly is not very impressive, looks like a model more than a doctor. But, together they make a beautiful couple.
I agree, Danish steals the show episode after episode and ayeza is just the same, she looks pretty and all but nothing new in her acting. Plus I'm a doctor and I know, this kind of atier is not allowed in wards plus the nails and jewellery. Saba Faisal looks the part to perfection but ayeza looks like she's promoting a clothing brand in the ward
@Zeya Khan I think she is an mbbs graduate who is just assigned in the gynaecology ward. She isn't a student, she is shown to be a young doctor and it is a common practice to work in that department where you want to specialise. I hope this helps 🙂
@Zeya Khan in pakistan after 12th grade there is a 5yr mbbs, then one year is house job and then 4yrs of post graduation. She is nota gynaecologist, she is just working in the gynaecology ward, a young junior doctor assigned to gynaecology ward. She has to be in her mid 30s if she is a gynaecologist and she said she should go to America for residency( means PG) they should have made it more clear in the drama but I think, being from medicine field, she's a young mbbs doctor working in gynae department
@Zeya Khan mbbs finishes by the age of 22-23 then there is one year house job, then u just don't get training the next day, it takes time to pass the post graduation entry exams,also depends on the availability. I don't know about other countries but in Pakistan u just cannot finish a post graduation in gynae by the age of 27 🙂 also ayeza is shown to be a clumsy doctor, she forgets patients reports etc, these characteristic highlight being a young and inexperienced doctor. I maybe wrong but I still think she's an mbbs doctor working in gynae not a gynaecologist
@Zeya Khan yes ur right, it's possible to complete mbbs and post graduation in one go. Possible but not very practical, u can't just get post graduation the next day, it takes an year atleast. But for the sake of drama, yeah maybe it's possible

I remember when Ayeza got all the bashing as Mahwish of MPTH, she did Chupke Chupke and all hatred for Mahwish turned into love for Meenu. Danish tried the same strategy after all criticism for Shamsher . 😀Intelligent couple, they know how to balance public reaction. 😊

Danish taimoor is excellent as sarim and is doing comedy really really well. I feel like Ayeza’s performance is not up to par with pari (her best comedy performance imo). Pari was especially well performed because the entire drama revolved around her and her story. In this case, I think the drama is more centred on the male lead which is nice to see. Saba Faisal is exemplary as a senior doctor and Danish Nawaz has done a really good job at portraying the hospitals environment. But the best part is the chemistry. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think it’s the best chemistry we have on screen at the moment, and it’s because the love is actually two-sided, pure and is not reluctant in any form. There’s no toxicity like other dramas and it’s a beautiful story with great messaging throughout. This might be saima jees most sensibly written drama for Hum Tv yet.

Similar situations in both MPHT and TB compel us to compare the expressions of the two very different characters. Both Saad and Murtasim saw their wives with their lovers, and the different reactions of both , played by Wahaj , depicted the range of his facial expressions. His face, specially eyes, showed whether he was playing Saad or Murtasim . The two dramas airing simultaneously is a dream come true for Wahaj as they are showing his versatility in expressions, apart from giving him off the charts popularity .

Mpht- I don’t think Saad is becoming boring or it’s time for him to toughen up. He is keeping a step back bcz he knows Maheer loves someone else. He has himself said zabardasti ki mohabbat ka kya fayda hai. He is not boring. He has simply taken a foot back because he knows Maheer doesn’t love him and like a sane man he understands that you cannot force someone to fall in love. Imo Saad has to be one of the most amazing male lead. And hope there are more like these on tv in coming days.

Saad is love but also too ideal to be true in real life , and Murtasim is actually flawed but interesting character. Wahaj Ali is ofcourse nailing it both. AND I would prefer any day Meerab over Maheer. Period. No matter how much Meerab acts confused, silly and impulsive, she is not a ' damsel in distress' and she fights it out in her own ways. She is flawed and she doesn't pretend , that's it. Yumna's acting just giving a new whole meaning to Meerab. Whereas Hania's acting actually not helping. She seems to be repetitive. In MPHT I want Maheer and Saad to get divorce amicably.it is better than the predictable plot where in the last two episodes she will be shown to have realised her love for Saad.

MPHT has so many parallels with Yumna Zaidi and Affan Waheeds drama 'Guzaarish'. Same premise. Affan and Yumna are cousins, Affan secretly lovs her but Yumna loves Ahmed Ali Akbar. Their shaadi gets cancelled with no fault of their own and due to misunderstandings between Yumna and Ahmed, she ends up getting married to Affan to save her 'izzat'. Affan is the ghareeb in this case and Ahmed is the Areeb and the ghareeb ends up winning in the end so Hassans theory is not new unfortunately. In most pakistani dramas, the ghareeb ends up winning because they've always shown that the guy that the girl ends up falling for is irrelevant. The other guy who the parents love and prefer for their daughter ends up winning because parents know best, girls can't love someone without them being compelled to do so, misery, misery.
Hope dramas on Green would be available in India too. Looking forward to 'Idiot'.....post Parizaad expecting another stellar performance from Ahmed Ali Akbar.Totally agree with Aamna, that the dramas of late don't have substantial content.... content was the reason why the Pakistani dramas initially found such a large fan base here in India.
Heer da Hero and Chand Tara are enjoyable. Ramzan dramas are not those kind of dramas that you must watch every episode.

Aamna and Hassan are really good at narrating the stories of dramas and actually more enjoyable then the dramas sometimes . I don’t watch half the dramas they review :)

Agreed to Amnaaa about Heer da hero. It's over the top especially Amaaar. She already have too much expression on her face. She doesn't need to go over the top or go so hard. Everyone get inspiration from Suno Chanda. Jiya was over the top in suno Chanda but on the other hand Arsaaal was so natural. He was over the top, annoyed but it never felt like he was trying so hard. It was just so natural.
I think a mockumentary style Pakistani drama could be so fun. Also agree that the comedies are so dumbed down and have too many over the top characters. Comedies with wacky characters generally need a "straight man" to balance and ground the show, a sort of stand in of the audience. Like in The Office, you had wackos like Michael and Dwight, but then Jim and Pam were there to ground things. I think that's why Fairy Tale is working for me, Umeed is OTT but Haya and Farjaad tone it down

it is so frustrating to watch anything on this channel, you guys put too many ads, i actually checked and you have put ads after every 1 minute and 30 seconds which is insane. you guys should think about your viewers watching experience too rather than just caring about youtube money. and yes it is totally up to you and in under your control as to how many ads to put.

I loved seeing Saad's sarcasm and voicing a bit his pain to Maheer although she didn't get his words for sure. But Saad doesn't see himself as Maheer's husband and that comes from Maheer's behavior with him (blaming him for the marriage and hidden truth and crying over Areeb till date) so he's behaving on that note telling her she could've heard him out and if they feel they can find a way back he'll step out like he already promised her twice already. Is he too selfless? Yes but that was there since day one getting insulted even slapped for her happiness.
As for Chand Tara we do come across young doctors like Nain Tara occasionally who dress like her, behave like her and get scolded like her. Not every girl or boy in our society becomes a doctor by their own choice unfortunately! Saying that, some grow professionally with time and do well. Other girls may be good and committed but end up not working!

Neelo needs to stop. It is not Maheer’s fault that Saad is suffering in love. After what Maheer went through, she cannot be instantly happy or even fake happy.
Maheer telling Areeb to get away from her and all that was because of society’s pressure and everything that’s been happening with her family due to her love for Areeb. It was not a shut up call. It was a “I cannot be seen with you” or I will get in trouble call. They also made it clear that Maheer would also like to be with Areeb if posssible but in her head, its impossible now. She is bounded by her and society’s rules and the actress portrayed that quiet clearly. I hope one day she actually gives a shut up call because she wants to be with Saad and no other reason🙃🤞🏽

I agree with Aamna, Heer da hero is very loud and too much happening. Chand Tara is a decent watch. Those are the only two Ramadan dramas I'm watching. They are of course not very enjoyable as previous years Hum Tum, Ch & sons, Chupke Chupke, Ishq Jalebi, and of course Suno Chanda 1 & 2. I could watch all these again but this year's ones don't seem entertaining enough to be rewatched.

Chand Tara is a good drama be because of Danish Taimoor and Ayeza Khan chemistry

It's just a comedy drama and try to enjoy it rather than doing baseless judgements on it..
How could you say that half of the drama goes into repetitive tag lines?
In CHAND TARA there is no forceful comedy scenes as of now...
I find this drama more interesting, funny and free from cousin marriage...

fairytale is such a fun drama! even though it does have a couple of loopholes I don’t rlly mind bcuz there’s no misery and it doesn’t shove social messages down ur throat. I’m enjoying it a lot at the moment and im so glad u guys r watching it too :)))

Danish started his career from comedy, he's good at it since the beginning.and same goes with Ayeza. Both of them have played diverse characters in comedy plays. But, it's just annoying ayeza to see in saima akram's drama every year
Saad is definitely not "Tanda". He is way too genteel to run roughshod over a woman, esplly the one he loves so selflessly. What Areeb does does not require self control, selflessness, and a large heart. But what Saad does may not be dramatic, and should not be dramatic , it is like deep waters that remain still on the surface but house a turbulance that will surface when a Tsunami hits them. They are infinitely stronger and definitely self-assured, Ther are not cardboard cutouts!!

Guys why do you miss impactful dialogues at times 😭
In the first scene when she burns Saad's shirt accidentally and says "sorry mera dihaan nahi tha. Ziada kuch nahi hua"
He says "tumhari bedihaani ka naam mai janta hun. Bohat nuksan kia hai usne mera" 😫💔
Because of these dialogues I think Saad has started to show a little bit of frustration but I do agree that his character is monotonous but I think that was the intention of the writer.
Also in the car when Maheer says to Saad ke tumhe kabhi muhabbat nahi hui na he actually looks shocked as if he still cant believe that she doesnt know that he loves her. Even he thinks that he has now communicated that to her through everything that he says to her like calling her the most special person in his life or saying that he can bear everything but not tears in her eyes
Btw really tired of Maheer's white clothes. I remember in your review of the episode right after the baraat wali episode Aamna appreciated how Maheer wearing white was a symbol and I liked that detail as well but it has become a little too much now.

In the promo it seems like Neelo’s marriage proposal will be at their home when Areeb’s mother comes over.
Finally😭 Areeb has been done so wrong. People have abandoned him since the wedding night. Everybody has been on the stance(like Hasssan) that he should have called and informed Maheer’s family. Even if you want, you cannot blame Areeb for that. It was was literally weak writing and I felt that while the scene was happening. The plot couldn’t move forward without that. Even Hassan and Aamna were blaming him for how he reacted when he came to the wedding venue and found out Maheer, his bride, the love of his life got married. He was rightfully angry but people called him badtameez. He didn’t say one thing wrong. He was just loud because of his emotions and the audience knew that his mother didn’t tell Maheer’s family the truth. Even in his loudness, he never said anything wrong to the elders. Areeb ke saath, har taraaf se nayansafi huyi he. I don’t mind his actions at all right now. I ddin’t like him before marriage but now I like him.
Watching Yunhi just for our Maya Ali ❤❤, it's a very different concept which keep us hooked to screens.
Whereas Chand Tara is a nice drama & i disagree with your review regarding ayeza's look or performance because i feel all the characters including ayeza have contributed equally and are nailing their performances. We enjoy watching this drama.❤❤

Chand Tara: I like Chand Tara but not a fan of it. The progressiveness of the script is quite nice to see because it’s refreshing. The acting of the supporting cast especially Ghazala Siddique, Behroze Sabzwari and Danish is so good. The latter three are the stars for me because how natural and funny they are which elevate even the flattest of jokes. However, my major complaint is that the show tries to be funny than it actually is by the constant wordplay, repetitive quips by the characters and flat jokes. Also, sometimes, the characters become little preachy. Overall, I hope it becomes funny once Tara is married into the Janjal Pura.
Ayeza's fans wants to see her in these kind of roles so that why she do

I'm only watching Fairy Tale these days as it's enjoyable and it goes nicely with my tea time after Aftaar. I'm not watching Chand Tara and Heer da Hero but after hearing good reviews I might watch them after Ramadan. But I must say it's nice seeing new refreshing cast in these dramas and I was positively surprised to see Ghazal Siddiqui in Chqnd Tara clips. She's back after many years. I remember her as Marvi on PTV.
