    Fairy tale was the best ramzan drama after ishq jalebi for me. Farmeed are ❤. Sehar and Hamza's chemistry ❤️‍🔥. Hope they work together again.

    About Fairy Tale: my guess was right. There is going to be a 2nd season. They couldn't have concluded all 3 couples' story in one season and Umeed couldn't have matured up enough in such a short time. Now in the 2nd season we will see more of Umeed's himaqatein after marriage 😅 and her journey to achieve her dream of becoming a successful person.

    Happy to hear the accolades for Hamza Sohail. His father is a veteran but Hamza is being recognised for his own craft. No nepo kid here. Same goes for Rambo Sahibas son acting in heer da hero. He has started with a small role where he has delivered well. This is the right way to go instead of getting meaty roles because of ur actor parents clout even when u don't have it in u.

    As a audience my opinion on less trp of Tere bin:
    1.Ramadan is the month of prayer, many people got busy in ibadah
    2. Last 10 days of ramadan goes for last moment shopping
    3.Less MeerAsim's scenes was shown due to ramadan to avoid controversy
    4.fake flirting of meerab as most people are attached to murtasim emotionally & can't watch him being cheated due to any cause

He took murtasim's character to next level.Otherwise writer would have destroyed his character too.But his subtle expressions, dialogue delivery, body language and innocence that reflects through his eyes he makes his every step convincing and lovable. He left no stone unturned to make this character worth watching and admiring. Agree with TereBin assessment so far. Stopped watching because I am tired of seeing Haya. While I like Mariam, the thought of her and MZ gives everyone the creeps. M&M scenes are short and thrown here and there to keep people from totally quitting. Even the lower TRPs are reflecting this. I think this is why they decided to show 4 episodes next week because of the public outcry that there is no progression with our favorite couple on screen. Also heard that they kept the romance to a min because of Ramazan. Still have faith in Siraj bhai's pace and direction and hoping the rest of the drama will progress in a fast manner. Looking forward to seeing Wahaj in Jurm as well. He is so dominating the industry now. 3 prime time dramas at the same time and one yet to come. Salaam for Wahaj!

      I liked the last episode of Tere Bin. It was an balanced episode and picked up the pace and in next four episodes in next week they should end this annoying Maryam-Zubeyr track. I like the New guy Naurez and his pairing with Maryam. But Maryam should marry him out of her own will. Problem with Tere Bin is that the repeated misunderstanding tracks with too many villains played by weak actors are actually off putting. They should wrap up each misunderstanding plot fast while showing steady progression in leads' relation. IMO, there's actually lot of progression between Meerab and Murtasim if we watch carefully. But yes the unnecessary dragging of Maryam's love story for last three episodes and too much screen time of Haya killed some of the interests.

    1:05:43 On comparing TB vs JBG. These two belong to completely different genres so a comparison between them is ridiculous. I mean is Sholay better than Ray's Apu Trilogy (not saying either TB is Sholay or JBG is Apu)? Sholay and Apu are the best in their genres and to compare them using the same rubric is bonkers. I am disappointed that a seasoned journalist like Amna would say this. #onthespot I mean, if someone is looking for a comic book film, you won't recommend Citizen Kane to them, and vice versa. Each genre has its own list of what is great and what is not which drives recommendations. E.g. within comic book genre, I would recommend Nolan's Batman films. But if you want me to recommend a best dramatic film, I would suggest a Schindler's List instead. You can say TB is bad masala if that is what you feel and recommend a good masala instead (but that's not a JBG).

    • @Virtuallife764
      @Virtuallife764 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Couldn’t agree more. My main issue witn tere bin criticism has been this from the beginning. Critics and some general public are not seeing and criticizing tere bin from the lens of the genre it is.

    • @hypnotoadxxx
      @hypnotoadxxx ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Virtuallife764 Our reviewers also tend to look down on popular commercial Pakistani stories I feel or cannot praise it without some kind of self-apology or guilty pleasure caveat. In contrast, Amna and Hassan reviewed RRR and praised it to high heavens. RRR is damn good masala but it is OTT as hell. Amna and Hassan praised the scale, the acting, the emotions and emotional connect RRR generated. However, they did not roast Bheem's super hero strength or myriad other OTT plot elements since RRR is intended to be that kind of a film - the OTT-ness is a feature not a bug. Yet it seems our own OTT dramas do not merit the same consideration - if TB is bad masala, in your review say why that is so; if it has elements of a good masala, say so also. Take the example of Roger Ebert. He gave 4 stars to both Spiderman 2 and Schindler's List. Read the reviews and you Spiderman 2 is reviewed from the lens of a superhero film and how these have evolved, while the Schindler's List is reviewed from the perspective of a character-driven drama.

    • @Virtuallife764
      @Virtuallife764 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hypnotoadxxx totally agreed. Tbh i am quite shocked and sad the lack of praise and love tere bin is getting from pakistani critics and entertainment fraternity. Only last week omair rana’s wife was criticizing the drama, the audience watching, writers and indirectly actors as well. I felt so bad especially bad for director and writer of tere bin who despite bringing new audience to pak dramas are not receiving any love or praise. In fact they are ridiculed most of the time and dismissed their craft as “bad”. Obviously tere bin is flawed but there are hardly any perfect drama either korean, hollywood or bollywood. What matters is whether the positive aspects are worth to downplay flaws and tere bin romance, strong leads, fast pace, outweighs its flaws. I just feel as u said tere bin is receiving harsh treatment just because it is masala romance and not social justice drama. If the story was related to some sort of social cause, the critics would have glossed over the flaws which they should not. It seems like now a days critics and people are often forget that the mai; objective of the drama or film should be entertainment.

    Spoiler alert!!
    Just finished watching all eps of Chand Tara. This was probably my first Ramzan drama that I watched while it was on air and didn't enjoy. Things that could've been different, IN MY OPINION.
    1) C-T should have moved to Ireland, and started a life there but (as Hasan and Aamna mentioned) be in touch with the family. Roomi n Haashu moved back, so there was no need to show that both the couples are back. If they intended to show that both kind of systems are okay (which they lectured in pockets), then they should've left CT and not bring them back.
    2) Tara was very annoying in some instances. Compromise was supposed to be done by both the parties. Here, it felt like only Chand cared about the relation or that he loved her more. Again, could've been written better.
    3) Mala's character was one of my fav since the start. But God did they manage to ruin it!? There was no freaking need to get her involved in a relationship. She wanted to be a goddamn basketball player and they just ignored that whole plot after she lost the match. Hasan and Aamna are right. She doesn't look beyond 20 yrs of age. Why would they get her married!? A character that repeatedly said that she wants to focus on her career, decided to be a "chai banane wali".
    4) In Mala's track they could've shown it as she had infatuation for the guy and later on realised it and moved on to focus on her career. Chand or Tara could've been the characters who would've helped her realise this. No disrespect to the actors playing the role, but just didn't fit in. If they wanted to show that second marriage is okay, they did that with Bauji. Why would you want same arc for two different tracks. But again they did that with C-T, R-H and Tara's parents.
    6) Salim uncle's relationship with his ex wife was such a unnecessary track. Made no relevance whatsoever. Also Saafo chachi's pregnancy.
    7) Roomi's character could have had a better end. Instead of showing that she got into cooking, they could've shown that she started making informational videos. Maybe on history of Pakistan (since in one of the scenes Bauji Mentions how kids are not aware of it and how Chand failed in Pakistan studies). Would've been a much better end to her story.
    8) Lastly, the promotions. I understand that it generates revenue but at least don't make it too on your face. But I think that's an issue with many of the dramas these days.
    Nonetheless, all the actors did a good job, but this didn't feel like a Saima ji's script.
    Eid Mubarak!!

    • @millip6760
      @millip6760 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with all of your points, Chaand and Tara both felt like immature children who couldn't make up their mind and talk to each other when conflicts arose. Mala should've helped the tutor in finding a girl like for example Tara's doctor friend Saba, she could've been a perfect match for him and they could've given out a message that men and women both can be friends regardless of how society portrays their friendships, that would've seemed like the best conclusion for Mala. plus everything in the last episode felt so rushed, Saima Ji has written stories like Ishq Jalebi, Sun Chanda and Chaudary and sons, there's not way this is her best work. I honestly believe that the channel must have made a contract with her because this didn't feel her writing at all. Hope she comes back with a better and more improved script soon.

    • @solitary_soul
      @solitary_soul ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @millip6760 I agree. Pairing that "nashai" with Saba would've been so much better!! Why the hell did everyone have to be married or be with family. I understand that it was an Eid drama, but they overdid it. I heard somewhere that Saima ji won't be writing Eid dramas next year and seeing Chand Tara, I think it's a good decision for her to take a break. I didn't see any other Ramzan drama, but now, hearing the reviews for Fairytale, I feel bad that I preferred this over that...

And if you look at it carefully, then you can see Maryam story is quite connected with the main plot as they are trying to show three different girls story of the same family and how each one of them has come out .. i think Maryam's track is very important for Murtasim and Maa Begum to realise that they need to mould or improve their own values which should accommodate girl's choices as well and also this will make Meerab realise what is love is after seeing murtasim love for her. This drama also taught us cute romance between husband & wife which i think never been to any pakistani drama previously and also it teach Man how to take care of their woman. I think Hassan ji and Aamna Ma'am sounds miffed due to what happened last two weeks on social media. But mate, I will say one thing you guys are reviewing it and sometime you roast, you say your own opinion thats fine but then someone will critique you too on your review and roast... i think its a time to look back those comments and correct yourself... I am being Indian, I can say Tere Bin is one of the bestest drama i have seen so far although many scenes are picked from Indian drama's only (from QUbool hain, Ishq SubhanAllah, Madhubala... etc) But still i liked the better execution then in indian dramas...

      First of all I agree with what u said abt TB except that some scenes are picked from Indian shows I being an Indian myself 🇮🇳. I don't think Pakistani producers, writers and other related people watch Indian shows for years & years & years. Audience/viewers/common people may watch it but not show makers. They watch Indian films for sure but I m sure they don't watch Indian shows. And romance toh sab ek hi tarike se karte hai na Bhai. Hugging,kissing,staring etc Aur sab karte hai same tarike se even in every Indian show, but usko unique or different woh couple and their chemistry banati hai. Toh copy Kiya hai and all it ye kehna doesn't make sense to me.

    Listening to your conversation on Tere Bin I think that the makers probably didn’t know this drama will be this big but once it aired and they realised that, I believe that rather than saving it from being just an ordinary run of the mill story the success had an opposite effect on them and they have prolonged the drama.
    However, I thought of the example of Mere Paas Tum ho, it was a massive massive hit but that drama ended early and on a high note rather than them adding episodes just for the sake of it to reap the benefits, so I appreciate that drama even more because of that.

The day meerab realise the love for murtasim those episodes are going to be iconic... and then Haya's story as i believe there is a new characters coming in this drama soon for Haya.... I am very excited to watch it.... And remember even Humsafar and ZIndagi gulzar hain got into this "dragging zone" in the last 5-6 episodes. Literally, In zindagi gulzar hain once the main lead got married I was thinking whats there for them to do now... But luckily in Tere BIn there is this hook of Meerab-Murtasim love which made everyone to keep stick with this drama...Please do not stop reviewing this drama... Wahaj and Yumna's chemistry still works like a magic and eager to see how Maryam's track leads them to get little more closer and my guess that eventually the revelation of Maryam's boyfriend's identity will create unfortunately another misunderstanding between Meerab and Murtasim and in between Rohail will enter and Rohail's track only lead Meerab to finally confess her true feelings. Let's see how the story in upcoming episodes unfold.

    Happy Eid to you both. More than the drama reviews, as an Indian living in the US, I am particularly grateful for the insight you give on life in Pakistan. My mother was born in Rawalpindi and lived in Lahore as a young girl (She is 87 now). Through her, we have crafted an image of the city she called home, and her nostalgic stories about her childhood make us want to experience this place she so loved being a part of. This is easier said than done of course, but maybe one day.
    I’m intrigued to hear your comments on joint families - in India this is much less prevalent. I completely agree that an independent life is a couples choice; but as someone who has lived as a nuclear family in a foreign country and seen the effects of seniors spending their old age alone and children growing up without the connection with their grandparents, I feel joint families should be encouraged and celebrated. It’s not easy of course, and perhaps it’s not for everyone, and it should be the couples choice. Perhaps your culture manages to keep that family connection despite living apart, as Amna’s father was able to do. This is hard to do though, and one can’t help but reflect on the advantages of a family that lives together. For those of us who can take this for granted, an independent life has its own drawbacks, not withstanding the separation of parents from their children and grandchildren. This is a topic for healthy debate and I wonder if you would consider producing shows that deal with social issues like the ones you bring up on the show - or give us recommendations of other shows that successfully debate these types of social situations.
    A big thank you for taking the time to put these shows on TH-cam.

There's a lot that has to be considered such boundaries, values, privacy and communication. I think we'll see more multigenerational houses or community based housing in the future.Like you mentioned, you can keep connections alive despite distance but as all things relationship related, it's difficult but doable.

The story is taking turns and I am looking forward to see who will Mariam end up marrying & will this side track be the reason for murtasim & meerab seperation. Remember we always make our guesses but Terebin never fails in surprising with twists. I thought mariam will elope & meerab will become the scapegoat but the promos show meerab actually convinced murtas im to meet Anas. Now I am interested to see why the meerab-murtasim seperation & how? Wahaj & Yumna have done their best as always to make this scrip work and make the drama lovable. Got hooked up with Tere bin and became a huge fan purely because of Wahaj and Yumna’s chemistry and screen presence. The first 25 episodes were most enjoyable to watch because their characters were establishing and the track was unfolding but at this point .. sad to say but but the sidetrack hadd completely shadowed the main characters and it’s negatively harming audience experience like you right mentioned. It’s better to end a drama on a high note rather dragging it unnecessarily to make it bad experience for the audience..
    and coming to particularly 34 episode.. the screenplay was far fetched but I disagree on “Merub-Maa begum” being a waste..
    Rather I see this scene as a confrontation between values..
    Like how we always say it’s always women pulling down other women, mostly it’s our mothers, sister who imbibe regressive values and train us to leave with it unless one see the world view and takes the other view.
    Here, I see Merlin is actually channelising her rebel attitude but with bigger responsibilities because at this point, she has somehow understood the family dynamics.. and being the one wife of the head of the family.. her one-on-one with Maa Begum is a mature take as compare to the previous episodes.. where she was fired and completely naive about the dynamics here..
    here she maturely put across her point and made Maa begun furious and desperate to prove her point ..
    but sadly that scene didn’t ended well because Mariyam couldn’t take a stand for herself ..

    As a doctor i can tell u the reason why the air crew ask this question of pregnancy to ladies. Its because after 20 weeks of gestation u have to carry a written paper from your obstetrician that travel is safe for that lady as some pregnant women can have low lying placenta / placenta previa or she may have anyother complication so the air travel is not safe. A pregnant woman can go into premature labour due to pressure in the aircraft. Also long flights can cause deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in pregnant woman so the air crew will give a spacious seat to a pregnant woman so that she can move her legs n walk a bit in between during the flight. U are right that the air crew should mention the rationale behind asking such a question because if anybody is not pregnant, that person might be offended.

    There is a lack of training to employees in Pakistan. Though I love the brand Zeen, I stopped in-store shopping. I'm asking this sales girl for size 8 in a particular style, and she sees me head to toe and says: apko 8 Kahan se ayega, wo tu Mera size hai. Ap 10 dekhein...
    Lolz I bought 8 online, and it fits well!

    Amna Ma’am I think you took it in a right way coz as the air hostess belongs to the hospitality service she will obviously be a little more observant and cautious and yes it is certainly a very big compliment ❤ you are beautiful inside out ❤

    Fairy tale has been enjoyable to such extent that the viewers are hoping for it's second season.
    Positives
    1- Its story line where a young girl reaches a game show and wins huge amount of money .
    2- Characters and their humorous interaction with each other .(except few
    3- Main lead outstanding acting and Chemistry
    4- Beautiful OST
    Negative
    Being boring, illogical and senseless at times leading viewers to loose interest in the drama .

    Tere bin, makers also know that people are not happy with the drag that's why now we are getting 4 episodes this week , they just want same craze back , hope it will pick up , one thing , jab hum kuch chizo ayr logo ko baar baar dekhte bhi hain hain uski satisfaction/ utility Kam hi hoti jati hain
    In Economics -😅 there is utility chapter that ager hum ek roti khate hain to usse kha ker Hume jitni jyada satisfaction hoti hain , utni second roti se nhi hoti 😂😂
    I think it's the same case which came into my stupid mind 😅

    #Danish as Sarim has proved that he can do a positive romantic character equally as good as a toxic hero that he had been type casted in. Hope makers take note of this and offer him more roles like the former. It was an absolute treat to watch him play Sarim.
