The beauty of Kabli Pulao is that nothing feels unnatural when we talk about Haji Saab and Barbeena together, and yet we also feel sad for Shamim inspite of what she did.
It's absolutely accurate that Haji Saab is acting as her father, her brother, her son and her friend all at the same time, while Barbeena truly represents the form of a woman that Haji Saab always saw in his mother which also fuels his need to save her.
And even I think there will be a romantic situation between them, though it will not feel odd even if there is no such situation between them. But I still think even if relations are established, Haji Saab will always think that she is doing it out of reverence and sense of sacrifice, even if Barbeena ends up genuinely attracted to him.
I am also curious on how Barbeena's feelings shift once Baraan re-enters.
56:45 Saqib Sumeer’s versatility as an actor reminds me of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Such a fine actor Saqib is, chameleon indeed!
Kabli Pulao: Really surprised that Hassan said there was not much to talk about in this episode. I feel that the crescendo is constantly building and this episode was just as powerful. So much happened including the fact that the family flipped. Please also note that Barbeena's tilawat was beautiful. I think there WILL be intimacy between the two judging from Barbeena's looks as a bride. Also I think they will leave the house. She cant live here as a maid and she must be protected from the budnazar of Ghaffar. Saqib's acting is totally STUNNING.

#jhoksarkar One thing I noticed about ASP Arsalan's character which is different from Farhan's recent projects, is that ASP is a lot more composed, not that cheesy (no complaints if he was though!😁) and interestingly it is the female lead who is driving this romance and then we see him feeling the heat, not the other way round, which is a fresh change. ASP is starting to be besotted but is still controlled and holds his senses. 💕👌

In dramas they show the wedding only when it would be stopped in the middle, if it is to go smoothly they skip showing it. I guess that is why they didn’t show it in Ehram e Junoon
I was impressed by Sabeena's acting in the first bedroom scene. Only dialogue was "na" to many questions. But each na was so different.

I don't like Amna and Hassan converging every relationship towards physical intimacy... I mean as roasting it's good for poorly executed and scripted dramas and i thoroughly enjoyed that in many places before... but when it comes to serious insightful dramas like Kabli pulao where there is no such a thing and everything looks platonic this conversation doesn't make sense... I wait for their reviews on kabli pulao but it's the second time they are disappointing me from their opinion... Amna easily get distracted and sometimes miss mentioning important scenes and dialogues... It's a masterpiece drama and should be reviewed meticulously... Hope they notice and improvise this point.... Plus a request to them to kindly interview Zafar Mairaj... Such rare artists should be known to the world....

Kabli Pulao-this drama is beyond the intimate marital relationship between Haji sahab and Barbeena.
Our dramas have been revolving around this silly aspect of a married couple, this will move onto other more interesting angles.

That scene that inner conflict going on in haji sahab's mind that scene was so good and thoughtful kabli pulao express all the human emotions and it hits the right cords always. And i loved your review of ehram-e-junoon i don't watch that show but love your roasting review.

I really appreciate your reviews . In Kabli Pulao you guys keep talking about the intimacy of a marriage relationship and wonder about different scenarios. My problem is that there is so much to talk about the acting , technical acting skills and as a reviewer you guys should talk about that. You two discuss the story and then in the story you keep getting stuck on intimacy. This is not right . Please broaden your vision especially Hassan all the time talk about it

I think one of the main points of the drama is to show that there so much else in a relationship than intimacy- love, reverence, respect, sense of sacrifice is much greater and it seems you totally missed this point in the review.

@27:50 Exactly my thoughts Amna, Its an odd pairing but so far whatever scenes were shown it works. I was a bit skeptical about the pairing of farhan and hiba when the drama got announced but atleast last episodes scenes were cute enough for it to work. But having said that, farhan is a reactor actor, i feel he absorbs the energy of the actor opposite him. Thats why I would lovee to see him with a Sajal probably who is as good as him in creating chemistry, or even with a kubra for a fresh pairing! I dont feel that boom with the chemistry so far because usually in farhans romantic scenes you find yourself beaming from ear to ear! With hiba it works beyond my expectations but not super dynamic so far, it might change later idk their love story just began. But someone please cast farhan with sajal, kubra etc 🤞🏻🤞🏻
U are sooo right with ur thoughts atleast when it's concerned with Sajal because even I feel the king of romance of Pakistan and Sajal being a phenomenal actor, they would make a mind-boggling outclass firyyy chemistry but honestly I doubt when it comes to kubra's acting a bit atleast opposite a phenomenal actor like Farhan. Comeon we can't expect that. And yeah very rightly said by you again for Hiba and Farhan' chemistry ❤️💖

One mistake you guys missed that when maid brought snake into noori's room, the pitari (basket) was different and in second scene it was completely different when she opens it to free the snake. Kabuli pulao rocks. Abhi tu barbina ka x husband bi wapas ana hai
That whole snake scene wasn't executed well. She released the snake on the floor n then left the door open for few minutes. There was more chances of snake getting out of the room or hiding in corners then crawling all the way up to the bed, it was very unlikely of a snake. The plan was do random, that chances of snake biting other people than Noori was more.

About Kabuli Pulao, yes that boy is besotted with Shamim it was clear from his conversation when he brings the news of Myshtaq being married to Barbeena to Shamim and says I thought I should deliver this news to you personally so that you have someone who cares for you there for you when you hear it. Then it was confirmed in this episode when he says jis se soti khaaty hain usi se muhabbat krty hain meaning that Shamim used to beat him while teaching him but he still fell for her.
As Ayesha enters with haji sahib, everyone ignores Barbeena and leave her to stand alone at the door
A word of appreciation for Jhok Sarkar. What a solid drama! It has this old school theatre kind of touch especially because the cast is so big and varied. The revelation of events is fast paced, logical and has just the right amount of thrill. And of course everyone’s acting is top notch and the locations are great as well. A special shout to to the actor that plays Meeral and to Sakina Samo and Faiza Gilani. The way the two wives conspire against their common enemy was wonderfully performed

They showed in the ost I think k haji sahab is on the sofa and barbeena is on bed. I think he wants her to actually love him and not be intimate with him out of duty. Aur isi duraan dusray bnday ki entry hojaegi to make things complicated. Don't know if he's baraan or a lookalike. But he's definitely coming soon.
Pineapple tin for Rs.4700!!! That's expensive but I think the reason is that they might have increased duty on imported items?? Makes sense. I think theres a local option available that's just as good and should be cheaper. I live in North america. Funny thing, I find no difference in a lot of things that are produced locally in Pakistan but still people there prefer to use imported stuff.

Guru is a loose adaptation of a hindi movie called tamanna. Paresh Rawal played the main role of a eunuch who was behaving like a man for the benefit of his daughter played by Pooja Bhatt. Look up the movie. It wasn't a commercial hit but was well done. It also had manoj bhajpai and was directed by Mahesh Bhatt.

My favorite drama is by far Jindo , superb acting , plot and direction. Gohar Rasheed is proving himself as a seasoned and honest in his craft kind of actor . Loving all the characters, so enjoyable. When you’re watching this drama times fly by .

In the introduction Hasan was so disconnected with Amna. Amna was talking about something totally different and I feel Amna but in Hasan's mind something else was going on. Yes dramas gives us relief in these testing times where everything else around us is all so depressing and causing anxiety.
Please also review Tere ishq ke naam if possible. Love Rutba's Dad's character l. I wish Dads in Mujhe pyar hua tha and kaisi teri khudgarzi had even a bit of this strenth
