Mujhe pyar huwa tha seems like something we would have already seen before. The triangle, the rejected lover, the wedding being called off (?) with a rich guy, the girl crying etc etc. I adore Hania especially after her interview with Hassan but the crying gave Hala vibes to me too and I feel like she should’ve taken a little break because anything you do after a blockbuster is always compared and falls short even if its not. Just like Qasim Ali Mureed’s Meri Shehzadi is severely underwhelming. But I hope Hania and Wahaj create some magic because they are at the end good actors. Havent seen much of Zaviyar so cant say much.
Also probably alot of people think Faysal Qureshi ages well etc etc but seeing him with young girls is super cringe for me and uncomfortable to watch. Even with the girl in farq and now with Iqra.
Mere Shehzadi isn't a bad story, but Urwas acting is extremely annoying. I've stopped watching it.

I will see Drama Mujhe pyar hua tha . Just because of Wahaj . I like his acting. Especially after Jo Bichar Gae. It was superb drama.
Always been a fan of Faisal Qureshi. He has done some classic roles and I agree with Hassan that he needs to be offered roles to match his talent.
I won't say Zaviyar is bad at acting or anything he is pushing hard and doing decent job, but in a project where you have actor like Wahaj casting Zaviyar doesn't make sense, I hope he does justice to the role here. Plus this drama I feel would be either a called of marriage or lover being separated she loosing her memory and all. And as Rabya Kulsoom is in it as well so I guess either of them would get her too
I really enjoyed seeing the Aik Thee Laila trailer, and now that you've mentioned it's only going to be 6-7 episodes, I'll definitely be tuning in. I also loved seeing Wahaj in Jo Bichar Gaye & DNUTN but the teaser for this new drama seems like a run-of-the-mill, "three people caught up in a love triangle" story of sorts, I wish he's cast in a better story; for haute gold, please review these dramas: Malal (2010), Qaid e Tanhai, Daam & Doraha !!!

Just finished watching the first episode of Ek Thi Laila!! SO REFRESHING!! Production, direction, cinematography, acting is VERY different from ANY other Pakistani drama. One of those shows that you WANT to keep your eyes peeled on the TV set so you don't miss anything. Most Pakistani dramas I watch, I do my full time job while watching them and don't miss much but this one I had to stop my work to pay attention! Well worth it. Just wish it wasn't just 6-7 episodes....haha!! Here's to hoping that there are more of these types of shows to watch.

Fawad and Shan both acted in am amazing film, which gave us an insight to Fawad’s ability as an actor, and Shan should appreciate that Fawad is also a very talented actor, and frankly speaking Fawad wasn’t bad in his panjabi dialogue delivery according to my Sikh friends! It’s time other actors no matter what their status support younger actors instead of trying to have a one upmanship over others!
Excited for ail thi Laila looks different and since it's a mini series so it's really good.

We can blame Faisal Qureshi for doing these roles but fact is he did Babajani and it was his least watched show. He was playing the father of Madiha Imam but it didn’t registered that well.

*Hook:* Kinza is a young very beautiful talented girl n I would really like to see her paired with younger actors n more refreshing projects like Cricket Khiladi on Netflix with Daniyal. Those typical biwi-bahu kind of roles don't suit young girls like Kinza n Alizeh Shah.
*Mujhey Pyar Hua tha :* Not sure if Hania Wahaj are the next thing, because Hania-Farhan were so impactful together, Wahaj-Madiha or Wahaj-Ramsha were so good together that i dono if these two would click with audience. Secondly, why is Zaviar always the same sophisticated sudhra hua decent nice guy from qissa...thirdly, i just hope n dread this does not end up as a typical toxic feroz khan love triangle drama...
*Ek thi Laila* : Looking better n much different than the other two, notorious characters suit iqra really well...so thumbs up for trying something different.
I’m getting Laapata vibes from Ek thi Laila because of the fresh treatment - and that’s really good. Modernized direction can really revive this rather dry spell of Pakistani dramas. Even if it’s a typical story, just the execution can make a huge difference and it seems like Pakistan is finally heading towards modernized story telling
That’s what I noticed too, the treatment is very Netflixy. Didn’t know Yasir Hussain had it in him. I also liked the fact it’s short and crisp episodes as well.
@@aziza000 exactly it feels Netflixy which is a good step in the right direction for a younger audience. I personally think most Pakistani dramas are meant to be under 20 episodes but are just unnecessarily dragged for views and money. If the story warrants a longer length, then even a 35+ episode drama won’t feel long. Case and point being dramas like Alif Allah aur Insaan, ishq Jalebi and of course Pyarey Afzal. On the other hand a seemingly short drama (hum kahan ke sachay thay) should’ve been even shorter because they dragged out the mystery aspect of Mashal’s death for too long.
@@mahadfraaz218 completely correct. Dramas don’t need to be longer then 20 episodes. I think they only drag the dramas so they don’t have to spend money on more content, and then dragging one which is already a success is a safe bet for them, rather than creating a new project which is more money etc which could be a load for them. It just lacks total professionalism and conviction. Right now these channels are raking in so much money so it’s just greed and being cheap. Btw, have you seen the new channel Green TV launch on instagram?!
@@aziza000 I’ve heard about this channel for quite some time and more recently I’ve seen celebs posting bts shots of dramas for green tv. But I haven’t heard of anything official. Hopefully it’s a bit more daring and different than the usual saas bahu nonsense and doesn’t show dramas that are dragged to oblivion. And you’re right about the lack of professionalism. I’ve heard that perfectly good stories and scripts are often “extrapolated” by bad directors which introduces new concepts and ideas for no reason other than to drag the drama. Most recently, we saw how Pehchaan was completely ruined by miscasting and choppy direction even though it was a perfectly fine story. Very few directors actually care about the artistic value, like Kashif nisar or Nadeem baig

Guys, do watch Talkhiyan, starring Sanam Saeed, Shamim Hilali, Hina Bayat etc. It was an adaptation of "God of small things" by Arundhathi Rai. It got telecasted on Express Entertainment almost 7-8 years ago. You'd surely enjoy it.

Talented people like Ameer Gilani, Talha Chauhar deserve more appreciation than all these bunch of young new comers who have suddenly exploded in the past 2 years...We need REAL talent to be recognised, to be given good opportunities, so that they can be groomed, they can grow . But unfortunately the more you keep recurring in senseless dramas and the more you are seen every where (like in photo shoots, stage, social circles n what not), the more popular and known you become. Unfortunately public goes by quantity rather than quality. I'm just dying for Ameer Gilani to come back on screen...

@@taskeenfatima6078 as far as I know they shot for it and even saw some bts and few weeks back the news also came that it's going to be on erosnow that's it. Now is such a great time to release farhania's webseries but I don't know the makers aren't doing or saying anything about it.

Hello Hassan and Amna, hope you both are doing well. I feel so guilty this week, I have missed the past couple of reviews because I was working on my thesis. I am an IVS final year textile student and I would LOVEE to have you both visit the degree show. Everyone has worked really hard. I wanted to reach out before, but something would always come up.
