DJ seemed like he only ever considered FSU, and was smiling as he arrived on campus. Then ya have Cam Ward playing games, and making everyone wait only to most likely opt for the NFL. DJ was put on hold and waited without taking any other visits. I'm glad we got him. Look were this staff elevated JT from, they can certainly do it again with DJ

Only concern I have with DJU is how will he adapt to Norvell offense. He's seen 2 different offenses and could bring bad habits with him.

Glenn will get better. He was injured for a good part of the season so his development was hindered. Taking 2nd team snaps will help as well.
Getting a guy to come as a backup is almost impossible. Why would anyone do that?

He was the last QB to beat FSU at home when he was in Clemson. Clemson was in a transition especially losing Trevor Lawrence and DJ wasn't a good fit to run the offense.

Just look what Mike Norville did with Jordan Travis. Jordan was so bad he was getting ready to switch to wide receiver. Novell told Travis to go in and look at the three Heisman trophies, and give it another shot because he thinks he could turn him into a Heisman candidate. He better hit the playbook and knows the plays! He has always depended on his natural talent. QB IQ is not there. But DJ can help mentor Brock and Luke. He will get us to a bowl game. But I'm not expecting a lot from him.

I hate being negative about a kid, but I dont see the hype. I watched every Clemson game he played in and most Oregon St games. He has a cannon for an arm, but no touch/loft on his passes. He struggled at finding the 2nd and 3rd options. And worst of all, his passing wind up took FOREVER. At 6'5" he's got a big frame, but his mechanics need a lot of work. I hope the best for all college kids as i love the game, but FSU fans may want to check some more tape and not go off his high school hype. Cade Klubnik knocked him from the starting spot at Clemson for a reason.

I still wish that Clemson brought in Garrett Riley and let him work with DJU in 2022 for a year before Dabo decided to choose Cade over DJU. Given DJU's recent success at Oregon State with far LESS resources, it is really obvious that the DJU situation at Clemson was 95% because of Clemson, not him. I will always believe DJU was the better quarterback than Cade, but unfortunately Dabo did not feel that way and he made the decisions he made. Had Clemson fired their shitty OC in 2022 and brought in someone else, I think Clemson makes it to the playoff either in 2022 or this past season with DJU.
We will never know, but Dabo and Clemson dropped the ball by letting DJU go for Cade, who is much more mediocre IMO regardless of that final drive in the Kentucky game. The game shouldn't have even been close and it was only close because Cade had one of the worst if not the worst games of his short career. DJU is a baller who wasn't given a chance to succeed at Clemson but once he was given an opportunity at Oregon State he did, and I bet he will at FSU too.
