Narrative everyone is missing with aTm…the reason the input doesn’t match output is coaching staff. Aggies are upgraded at EVERY single coaching position, including S&C. They lost most games in Jimbo era in special teams and 4th quarter. With an actual special teams coach - Jimbo didn’t have one - and Moffett they could make massive leap in 1 year.
Upgraded you say at every position? How does one go about determining such a boast? Is this factual or a way of giving yourself hope that this chubby and goofy not old but not young white dude isn't another Franchione, or Sherman, or worse another Jimbo? Is it a gut feeling or have the aggies truly figured it out this time, or just another coach waiting to get paid and get out of that strange town
1000 percent correct. Aggies have top 5 talent, and anyone who actually knows football knows we have definitely upgraded with all of our coaches. I mean the offense will defently be alot better under Kline. The defense will be better under Elko, and our players will be in great shape due to out S&C coach.
People have been saying the same thing about the Aggies for the last 20 years. They said the same thing when they hired Jimbo. They said the same thing when they hired Sumlin. They said the same thing when they hired Sherman. The last good coach they had was Slocum. It's the same story every time they hire a new guy.
Aggies and Sooners should be the teams to surprise people and I can’t stand the aggies. They have a QB and they still have a lot of players from that all-time recruiting class. Especially on the defensive side. If Elko has been able to change the culture enough to get them to play up to their potential A&M could surprise a lot of people. If Weigman has the kind of year that he can they could make some peoples schedule a lot tougher than it is. I also can’t wait until they ruin Texas sec entrance by kicking their ass in the last game of the year.

Agreed on all. The Longhorns and Sooners will have to adjust to the mental and physical grind of the SEC, but they will. And right now the Longhorns have talent closer to Alabama and Georgia than not. LSU is in that bunch behind the top three, and who knows. Mississippi could be better. Mizzou's schedule gives them a chance to be better. And the Aggies? We need to just keep working. Learn from our mistakes and keep getting better. We have accomplished things in the last 12 years we hadn't accomplished in generations (Heisman) or ever (No. 1 class) and won a lot of big games. The potential is there. But a lot of work remains.
What many people dont realize about A&M is seeing the overwhelming amount of times their seasons have been ruined to the loss of key players in the past 3 seasons.
