Damn that's a solid coach right there. Not one excuse made and didn't pawn the blame off on anyone. Just took full ownership. Great leader and we're proud to have him 💯

"I didn't do a good enough job." No SH-T SHERLOCK. It is unfortunate that you were not prepared, the team was not prepared, the school was not prepared, the fans were not prepared, for the most historic bowl beat down in the history of college sports. But then it was impossible to be prepared, when our team does not show up for the bowl game. We should have stayed home. College football is broken, shattered, and destroyed. Beyond repair? I don't know. But I do know this, if you do not have tons of good recruiting, and a rock solid traditional culture of Noles loyalty, well then, you live by the portal, you die by the portal.

I've had a couple of days to think about this train wreck bowl tragedy. (Like 24/7, every minute, every second.) First of all, my apologies to Coach Norvell, he didn't deserve my harsh "Sherlock" comments, anymore than he deserved to be hamstrung and put in a hopeless situation, caused by the abandonment of most of all the starters and playmakers. I'm an alum and a forever huge fan, but even I think what they did was disgraceful.
With the exception of Jordan Travis, on crutches, on the sideline talking to our guys and giving them encouragement, all of the other opt out P.O.S. should have been banned from the sidelines. The audacity to opt out, then come ringside to see your underclassmen teammates get their teeth kicked out in a world record SH-T stomping? What did these opt out morons expect to see? That is the greatest example of adding insult to injury. Maybe they need to make a rule. if you are a P.O.S. that only cares about your possible NFL future, and remember only approximately 1-2% of college players actually make it in the NFL, then you obviously never, ever, did care about your team and teammates, and should be banned from the bowl sidelines. So, the biggest battle of the season and you're going to run away? Then screw you, STAY AWAY!
The monetary pay incentives and transfer portal (basically free-agency/no loyalty) have to be stopped if we want to save college football. Here is the deal, plain and simple, if ESPN, all major sponsors, and the NFL want to invent, create, finance and control an NFL Minor League division, then so be it.. But NONE of this garbage needs to be in college football. Folks may think I'm just an unrealistic naive dreamer but, unless you take the money out of college football, you no longer really have college football; because it's just a junior NFL minor league that's called college football.
For all of those portal and NFL draft jump starters out there, just remember, what's the real life Vegas odds that your dumb, happy, arse, will be the one kicking, throwing, catching, intercepting, the winning score in the last seconds of a Super Bowl? Well it's about 1.6%. So go ahead and abandon your teammates, coaches, school and fans. But when the Vegas odds come around to chomp down on your arse, much like what the Gators try to do to us every year, and what the Bulldogs did do to us in the Orange Bowl, don't expect to be welcomed back to the inner circle of true loyal Seminole Warriors. You know, those folks who never run away from challenges or battle, and are truly "Unconquered" and not pathetic losers. Once again Coach, from the bottom of my Seminole heart, apologies again for my harsh, cruel comments. You were not the problem, current college football culture is the problem. Happy New Year and God Bless.

If it's true that FSU's culture is the only problem, then why didn't FSU have any opt outs a year ago for the Cheez It Bowl as a 9-3 team? They had a number of portal players and others who could have opted out a year ago, but did not. This culture problem is pure ESPN narrative control, and it doesn't hold water

GA deserved to be in the playoff way more than Fla St period and they showed up to play. Not a fan of either team but look at GA schedule then look at Fla St and tell me honestly who deserved to be in the playoff even with Fla St QB not getting injured. We all knew this would happen at some point with a 4 team playoff but if you make it an 8 team it’s just not as prestigious to make the playoff.

FSU would have been beaten soundly with any lineup they had all year. This team is the biggest example of quitters and cowards ever trotted out under a sorry coach that has no shame. I once respected this program, but this team is a joke. Ga. got a hard deal too but didn't quit. All this BS about what they COULD have done is disgusting. This coach is proud? Good grief.

The amount of players who “opted out” at FSU
Shows that the culture at FSU is not good. All the Georgia players came out and played for the collective ( the team). They all wanted to play and show the dominance. And, they showed it in a big way at 63-3

Those players should be ashamed of themselves for not playing, it still would’ve been an uncompetitive game, fsu’s undefeated season is not impressive whatsoever when you look at their opponents and not only their opponents but their overall combined records, 67-76.. so every team fsu played had 5,6,7,8,9 losses.. let that sink in .

  • @rvf9643

You have to take an account of your schedule. The whole system is not fair. FSU had the 55th toughest schedule. Alabama had the fifth toughest. South Dakota state was undefeated as well. Should they have been in the top four.

Hats off to the FSU players who played in this game. Everyone else associated with this team should be embarrassed and ashamed of the way you acted after the committee made their decisions. B/c you had an undefeated season doesn’t mean you automatically get in. The ACC was weak this year. And you would of gotten blown out if you did make the playoffs. The truth is Georgia got screwed but they came out and balled. Would hate to be an FSU fan now.
