This movie is truly one of the greatest Korean films ever made. Almost 20 years ago, when I was a graduate student in the US, I had the opportunity to watch this masterpiece at the university cinema during a Korean film festival organized by the university’s film club. At that time, the Korean film festivals we could attend were not as widespread as today’s Hallyu phenomenon, so for some students with a passionate interest in certain films, it felt like a very exclusive event where they could proudly showcase hidden gems they had discovered. Even now, 20 years after its release, it’s still fascinating and enjoyable to see more people appreciating Park Chan-wook’s masterpiece and exchanging opinions about it.
Watch “I saw the devil” this one is even crazier and worth watch
I’m afraid to
For some Korean movie recommendations, I would 100% recommend, “I Saw The Devil”, “The Man from Nowhere”, & “The Handmaiden”, another Park Chan Woo film. “I Saw The Devil, also stars the actor that plays Dae-su in “Oldboy”, Choi Min Sik, alongside another gifted Korean actor, Lee Byung Hun in a vengeful thriller. It’s a definite must watch!
Good recommendations, I will keep recommending these same movies forever until more reaction channels do it.
Those who've watched the series "Squid Game" would certainly recognize Lee Byung-hun.
I'm a korean. And i recommend "I saw the devil"
Cool. Coming soon. What’s another movie we should check out?
@BluntReactionsBB Save the green planet.
I heard it's being made in US version
@@BluntReactionsBB same directer "memories of murder" plz~~
@@BluntReactionsBB nono not same, by"directer Bong junho" !!!!
@@BluntReactionsBB lady vengeance
Recommendations: 1) The man from nowhere and 2) The Chaser
Check out our reaction to The Man From Nowhere this week
the layers of tragic elements (a la Oedipus Rex) in the movie do leave this knot in your stomach & head you can't untangle for sure. A good follow-up to this would be I Saw the Devil, it has more physical brutality than mental even though the mental kind is definitely present as well...unresolved, inexplicable sadness / hollowness also ring true on that one...
저도 충격이었고 스토리텔링이....거기다.. 2번가서 봄...
There lot of sick korean movie so epic they so creative for making movie this genre
Give us a list of
If you need a palate cleanser amongst all the twisted side of Korean cinema, I recommend "Extreme Job" a great comedy film from 2019. "Parasite" is a MUST tho for sure!
살인의추억과 기생충을 우선 추천드려요! 살아의추억은 실화를 바탕으로 한 영화이니 꼭 보세오! ❤
Oh. Am I really the first one here? My favourite movie of all time
"Burning" is a great slow cooking Korean thriller.
i second Burning!
Fantastic recommendation!
오마이갓. 이 명작을 요새 봤다고요?
살인의 추억 ~추천드려요
There’s only a couple other movies that F’ed with me as much as Oldboy
What would those be?
@@BluntReactionsBB I’d honestly rather not even say but one is Gummo and the other is a foreign film that might actually be banned. If it’s not, might should be.
Oldboy was my favourite of his - but I think I prefer The Handmaiden (I'd guess most would go for Parasite?), which is just something else :)
Set your notifications. Parasite reaction coming soon! Thanks for your comments!

That is weird! Thank you for letting us know. YT is a mystery. Glad you enjoy them!
Being locked in room doesn't seem all that bad. Free food, no job, no bills, no worries. Living on the street is worse.
Doing anything against your will is that bad.
