Lorenz was a character I didn't really like in Three Houses. In Three Hopes, they flesh out his character so much better, to the point he is now my new favorite. Glad to see the build for my main man.
For mine, I used Lysithea to teach Hades to Lorenz since they get up to A on their supports. Higher support means higher chance to teach a combat art/magic.
I thought Dual Onslaught combined Str and Mag for all damage or something, but I must’ve misunderstood if there is any point to Proficient Witstrike. It’d be nice if the game gave a bit more insight into the way some mechanics work.
Dual Onslaught and Proficient Witstrike can work very well together, since PW makes all attacks target enemy res, which is generally the lower of the two stats. Plus Lorenz is one of the best users of DO thanks to his relatively good strength and magic stats.
@@Xmapavega929X2 its as it says in the description. It considers your other stat for damage calculation. If it added both stats you would see an 100% damage boost, it would be completely broken. If you have 120 magic and 60 str and you use DO, your str related damage gets a boost while your magic gets a nerf. Thats why it should only be used if your stats are even. But even then your lucky if you can get 15% more damage which is half of what prowess gives
@@BurnerRebornGaming so my Sylvain right now has about 50 strength and 40 Magic and i like to use Ragnarok with him bc of the essence of fire skill. Lorenz was always underwhelming in Three Houses so I’m very happy he’s really good in this one! He’s supposed to be a secondary right hand like Felix and Ferdinand but he didn’t get anything very useful in 3Houses like they did
Funnily I got the exact same set of passive (although I eventually switched from Battle Instincts to Dual Onslaught which provide only a small boost, but it's still yet another multiplier ) but I went for War Master on him. I realised that he's basically the only character in the game that I can safely use Vajra-Mushti and therefore a perfect candidate for a 1HP build. I considered using the Desperation/Wrath combo but I think the combination of the War Master passive making strong attacks break posture and his high dex for crit rush damage means he doesn't really need them to break gauge if the enemy is too sturdy for his raw power. Since I don't particularly care for speed (Eviscerate has insanely high CD no matter what so you use it once per general at most) so 59 lvl in dark bishop and 60 in war master work pretty well to get him to around 90 in str/mag/dex and I still end up with around 80 speed which is good considering his very average growths in pretty much every stat. One of the character that benefit the most from stat boosters in the first three stats though.
Shining Guardian works even if they are attached to you, United Front also, Trust if they have it, and what ever Rally/ Assist skills they have. Basically just treat the character like an equipment and make sure to get any abilities that say they help near by units or as adjudanct. DO is weird. Ive tested the ability on like 6 or 7 characters now and it always results in different things. The highest damage boost ive seen is around 10% which is much lower then say prowess. A lot of people think it adds your stats together but it doesnt. In this case, all of our damage is coming from magic. Since magic is the higher stat, DO results in almost no increase in damage.
