I'm glad you made a video with Lysithea as a Mortal Savant. Just a little tip, since I didn't see it in the video. If you tap X from a running/standing position (NOT after a combo, you already know you need to hold down X after a combo!) you will dash attack and do one, strong slash. The slash is typically powerful enough to guard break, and if the shield is showing it can typically take off 1-2 "chunks" out of it. It completely changed the way I play MS for the better. It's also a damn good way to travel. Just remember to animation cancel by forward dodging after you tap X to travel quickly. I can rival mounted speed with that method. FYI it also works with the Yuri's gauntlets that give a single ground unit mounted speed. By traveling by tapping X into forward dodge ad infinitum, you can really move across the map at a startling rate. In any case, try out the tap X move in combat. Just remember it's a filler and a movement aid, as well as good burst damage. It should never be part of a combo; only holding down X after a combo should be used! Again, thanks for the build and I love it! I KNEW you would be impressed with MS Lysithea! Gremory is fun, don't get me wrong. I really do love Gremory and Dark Bishop. But I knew in my heart that MS was better. Now if you could do Rhea as a Saint, I'd be overjoyed.
I taught her Agneas Arrow from Dorothea. It's just one fast giant nuke and I love it. My main combat art on her is shadowblade because it recharges very fast, hits a lot of weak enemies and can one or two hit 97% of the commanders. Or it reveals the stun gauge and the y attacks from trickster are fast enough to get a critical rush
Yeah for sure. A lot of my builds go into over kill territory. So as far as normal mission to mission play, weaker abilities like shadow blade might result in a smoother play experience due to lower cool down and durability costs.
Ok, i just want to be sure i doing correctly. So i go to battlemap, drag Lysithea arrow to Dorothea, then assign as Adjutant. Yeah fetters is really good on any walking units. The problem is you can only have one. There are a lot of characters that can make better use of it then Lysithea. Do you know if Dark Knight’s strong attacks count towards str or mag? I was making a Monica bulid either and I was wondering if I should put on Arrow Of Indra (which calculates damage into Mag) or a crest weapon with Dual Onslaught
That's a tough one. If I had to guess, I think its both. Since when I look at the growth rates magic and str are both increased by a good amount. So I think what happens is, when your attacking with your normal combo's its your Str. But when your spells are used mid combo that part of the damage is magic. A good way to test this out is to find a strong armored unit. Use your normal combo's and see how much damage it does. If its lowish then that is based on STR. Then use your combo that ends in a spell and see if the spell doesn't significantly more damage. If none of the attacks do a lot, its based on STR, if they all do super high damage then its based on Mag and if your end combo spells do high damage but your combo doesn't its a hybrid.
@@BurnerRebornGaming Upon further testing, I believe that Dark Knight’s regular attacks do damage based on str while its strong attacks (including the unique attack) does damage based on mag. I don't know if any of her A support partners learn it and can teach it.
I explain it in my other Lysithea build but the short of it is, Both units must be paired up. Teacher unit must be in the active position. the one being taught must be in the Adjutant position. Teacher unit must have mastered the Art or Spell. Basically, get it to Lv. 3. Adjutant must have an A rank in the weapon type that the art you want to teach belongs to. If it is a spell, A rank in Tomes is what is required. The Art or Spell taught must come from the teacher's preferred classes. The unit being taught the Art or Spell cannot learn it naturally through mastering their own classes. If all of these requirements are met, the teacher can teach the Art or Spell to the student by using the art until you see it being taught. Keep in mind that some Arts or Spells cannot be taught to others, even if they otherwise meet all of these requirements.
She's actually a good archer and I believe there's a bow that works off of her crest + does magic damage, that's what I've got her doing. Her personal ability works really well for an archer because it pushes everything a mile away from her and doesn't have terrible cooldown
There's an entire process to it that involves finding someone who has Bolting, getting it up to Level 3, grinding max support with Lys, putting Lys as their adjutant, and then using it over and over until you're told that she learned it.

Final Prologue. You need to beat the game after getting Byleth. Then when you start New Game Plus you will get Gate Keeper. Following this you get Gate Keeper Prologue. Its the most difficult mission in the game.
Got a bunch of guys insisting that Dark Creator Sword 1) doesn't do double damage with spells or combat arts, and 2) the second hit only is for 17% damage. Care to share you numbers so I can plow them a new one? Getting tired of their trash talk, and I don't have the resouces ATM to do it myself.
Got ahold of the DCS and did some testing. It seems to me that the extra attack does 50% of your base damage. If you would hit for ~500 on a normal quick attack (Y button), the secondary strike will follow up with a ~250 damage blow, and it will add together for about ~750. However, the extra attack can proc effects like Shadowflash, Elementally-Imbued attacks, and count for double when it comes to skills like Ferdie's Maximum Ambulation. The DCS works with class skills and combat arts, but doesn't seem to work with magic spells. I could be wrong about this. More importantly, it works with Warrior Specials. And, of course, works with Awakening attacks. One important factor is if it works with class combos, like MS C2, C5, or C7. Any help with this would be appreciated.
It definitely works for spells. The problem with testing this on Lysithea is you cant just run anything, or you won't see it. You need to be testing it against enemies that can handle one of the spells, so pretty much the paralogue I run all my builds in. Before using the sword, my spells were doing pretty good damage, I don't have specifics because the difference was too big. Were talking a time saving of over 1 minute and 30 seconds overall due to the damage spike. Enemies that were once being hit with 30%-40% were getting hit with closer to 60%, and this was the case for the entire match. I am 100% certain that the sword boosts our spell damage, I just can't say if its 100%, it feels like 50.
@@BurnerRebornGaming Hey, I was wondering if you're interested in speedrunning the paralogue. I have a friend who speedruns a lot, and he asked me if you'd be interested in speedrunning the paralogue that you test on (perhaps severals times, but once is enough of course) and logging your total time to complete the level. The S rank/A rank doesn't matter much, just finishing the level. His fastest time so far is on Holy Knight. He also suggested that the 50% increased spell coefficient may have been beause of the weapon triangle. I personally don't think you'd make such an obvious mistake (especially if you tested it against a variety of units) but for some reason he's just not seeing the boost the double hit is giving spells. On the other hand, I think I can see it. In any case, I really appreciate your builds. I also appreciate you reading my posts and answering my questions. I'm kind of a go-between, so that's why you see me posting often. They're a competitive group, but since I'm the resident Mortal Savant user a lot is riding on this for me personally haha.
While I understand why people like Lysithia, am I the only one who finds her....weird to build for? I mean she's good and all but also her skill actually feels boring at times. I guess it's because I prefer my skills to either be more visual or just work instantly but Lysithia's pull is rarely used for anything and I get more confused when enemies blow up from a stray breeze. At least she does a lot of damage but overall, not a unit I personal love playing even with the wide build variety. I would mainly build her up to be used for Ai and have her be trickster so she can be my treasure opener in Golden Wildfire Now Hilda on the other hand is becoming one of my favourites and is potential going to be yet another dancer class I could choose to use. Holst is also looking good in this case as I find his skill interactive and fast. he will probably end up riding a horse or use an axe to take advantage of his accelerated speed or maybe even join his buddy balthus in brawling
As far as potential goes, I think Lysithea is much stronger then almost all other characters. She can fuel both her warrior and awakening super fast due to her crest pops. Shes one of very few characters in the game with 2 crests, which I'm almost 100% sure is required to use the full powered dark creator sword. I tested this sword on shez right before lysithea and shez had much much lower damage output despite having way higher stats then Lysithea. She also has a very strong line up of abilities to use. Out of everyone I built, Lysithea is so so much stronger. She was already the strongest character as a Gremmory but after the Dark Creator Sword find, I don't think any character can ever compare to how strong she is.
To make things even more broken, if you swapped her out with Sylvains ability she becomes even stronger. If that wasn't enough she also is the best unit I've found to farm gold with.
Honestly don't get all the hype for Lysithea. She's good for sure but there are several characters that can outdamage her due to better skill access. Lorenz for example gets all the important skills Lysithea has but also Big Game Hunter, Dual Onslaught, Underdog and an Essence skill while Lysithea does not. And in Lorenz's case he's not really lacking in terms of Awakening gauge either since his Unique Ability gives him increased Awakening fill rate for basically free. Only advantage I see with Lysithea at that point is that her Crest has a 40% proc rate instead of Lorenz's 20% but I'll take higher damage all the time over higher damage 1/5 times.
@@BaniniThePanini not exactly lorenz skills are not as good as lysithea's. And she does almost The biggest amoibt of damage. Few units can out damage her.
Tbh Hilda îs not that great compared to other units like Claude lysithea and Leonie. I ended up becnhing Hilda cuz she îs so slow and even vizual she doesn't have anything interesting

If all of these requirements are met, the teacher can teach the Art or Spell to the student by using the art until you see it being taught.
Keep in mind that some Arts or Spells cannot be taught to others, even if they otherwise meet all of these requirements.
@@BurnerRebornGaming thank you.
Build for Mercedes?
Should be coming soon
Mercedes is a good healer but can you think of any other way to use her besides just healing?
Yes, I use her as an adjutant on Lysithea for light assist
I use her as a dancer so that she can hold a rapier to stab calvary with
I haven't looked into her hit enough, I'll have to get back to you on that.
@@rdchris6556 idk light is a very niche element to be viable as a buff I don't know alot of characters that have light essence
She's actually a good archer and I believe there's a bow that works off of her crest + does magic damage, that's what I've got her doing. Her personal ability works really well for an archer because it pushes everything a mile away from her and doesn't have terrible cooldown
honestly, Byleth pls?
Should be soon. There are a few characters ahead of bylelth.
When do you get Bolting? My Lysithea doesn't have it
You have to teach it to her with sothis or constance.
How do you teach her bolting? I dont get that
There's an entire process to it that involves finding someone who has Bolting, getting it up to Level 3, grinding max support with Lys, putting Lys as their adjutant, and then using it over and over until you're told that she learned it.
Both units must be paired up.

Hey, which mission is that?????
Final Prologue. You need to beat the game after getting Byleth. Then when you start New Game Plus you will get Gate Keeper. Following this you get Gate Keeper Prologue. Its the most difficult mission in the game.
@@BurnerRebornGaming Ooooh, okay, thank you so much!
@@BurnerRebornGaming Thank you. It's still a massive damage boost, regardless.
I would mainly build her up to be used for Ai and have her be trickster so she can be my treasure opener in Golden Wildfire
Now Hilda on the other hand is becoming one of my favourites and is potential going to be yet another dancer class I could choose to use.
Are we doing alternate builds for everyone? Also, I wonder if you can do a build for Shamir soon. She was my favorite in Three Houses, but I know this game is very different.
Not everyone. Just the characters that have interesting branches. Shamir is pretty low on the list atm but hopefully she gets some more votes soon
@@BurnerRebornGaming I hope so too, also, is there gonna be an alternative build for Hapi?
@@michaelbainbridge7335 maybe. Im not sure yet
@@BurnerRebornGaming I still am surprised that the tome that has her Crest was meant to work for a unit that has high Strength if you were to have that unit be a mage and not a physical attacker, and that the build you had for her had a final class that had no level ups built by being in said class.
