- What is the most OP build for Lysiithea in fire emblem three hopes? Lysithea is one of those characters that can fill a few different roles, she has the capabilities of a mage, or even a spell sword. This build is to create her most powerful version and although the Spell Sword combo is very strong, it can not compare to the overall DPS of her mage build. I use Mortal Savant Lysithea with Electric grounder and Luna and she one rounds basically every boss. Whenever she uses Electric Grounder she causes massive knockback and damages the stun gauge where theres only 2 bars left.

@@BurnerRebornGaming I have just been playing Maddening I havent even done this mission. Though whenever the tougher bosses come in with way more HP she still makes quick work of them. Also Dark Swrod of the Creator with the witstrike ability shreds through foes hp since res is typically lower on foes.
I want to see mortal savant as it seems to use the explosions more or even a boost collisions build or something

very nice videos and super interesting. I'm on my 3rd playthrough trying to upgrade weapons and re-level and so on.
how many thousand playthroughs does one need for upgrading a single weapon to +100 and a character to 120 and re-level to get the best of the stats? it seems impossible and God forbid if I even fathom maxing 2 or more characters. Am I doing smth wrong? I did upgrade weapons that are not relics I am guilty on that and after that I releveled most of the azure gleam and scarlet blaze into their preferred classes up to level 60.
and did all of my relic weapons(silver and gold) up to +20.

@@Masmix77 Is there any stage where you defeat Catherine early? If siding with the church, Catherine already has Thunderbrand for herself, but if you side with the Empire, you only defeat Catherine at the final stage.
Mortal Savant build is great, and Lysithea actually gets an innate skill from the class called Proficient Witstrike, which causes all her attacks to run off her Magic stat, no matter what. I have mine currently using Thunderbrand (because she also has the Crest of Charon) and Thyrsus, with her arts being the Thunderbrand's unique art, as well as Dark Spikes to deal with Cavalry units.

I would love to see a video on Monica. Is she best as a Mage or trickster? Also would love to see any dancer video, I wanna see how they work. Also is Cha any good? it seems like something you don't really want to focus on like its nice to have but feels like the least beneficial stat.
I haven't gotten to monica yet, but i'll let you know when I do. As far as dancer, its only a matter of time before I run into the right candidate. Cha is pretty useless tbh. Sure some abilities scale off of it for boosts but thats pretty much all the stats good for, the only thing it does is make your battalions last longer.
Can you recommend me any methods of getting Umbral Steel for weapons like Thunderbrand and Failnaught?

it singlehandedly makes any character OP if they can learn it
not only does it boost arts and magic it also triggers Defiant Abilities, Wrath, Balthus Relic Gauntlets etc

so although life force would boost her damage by a pretty nice amount, there isn't a whole lot you need more damage for. I don't like creating characters that have to rely on potions and health items on the ground to keep there health up. When testing this build against random side missions on maddening around chapter 14, she can pretty much one shot or two shot anything so giving her a damage increase at the cost of having to deal with healing just isn't worth it. As for none of my builds using it, Jeritza uses it.
Awakening also isn't required for this build, keep in mind we only have 10 slots. This build is a pure mage that relies on consistency with damage and cast speed, if you want to build your lysithea to lose all of health to over kill enemies even further be my guest but your just making her more difficult to play for no real gain or speed increase on a level to level basis. When creating builds for characters, damage is only one element.

I'm not talking just about Lysithea here, ANYONE who can learn Lifeforce will be OP
try it out with any character/mage slap on all the damage modifiers they have and have Lifeforce, and either Thunderbrand or Suttungr's Mystery, you don't even need Miracle, Rondo of Roses or Awaken
tell me if you get hit, I guarantee you won't even take a single point of damage
I'm not really sure if you actually tried to build this character your suggesting because most of what your asking me to build her with doesn't even exist for her. Every character learns there own abilities, there isn't a single character in this game that shares all of the same abilities as another.
You want me to use Life Force which would start draining Lysitheas health when using your spells. Okay then what? Wrath only boosts your damage during critical rushes which you will never do because your spells are too strong. Miracle isn't even on Lysithea, she doesn't have it period. She doesn't have true awakening either. She doesn't have absorb speed.
Were you under the impression that everyone learned the same stuff or something? I assumed you knew what you were talking about so I agreed that your build would do more damage but after seeing that shes missing almost every ability you suggested thats no longer true. Building her your way would not only make her have lower dps by a lot but you would have to use items to heal because you don't have anything that can keep you alive.
@@BurnerRebornGaming I apologize for not making it clear, I was talking about Lifeforce in general on all characters and not just Lysithea, after I watched all the builds I ended up posting the build on this particular video since it was the last one I saw
I do have 300 hours on the game, and have a good idea which abilities each character gets since I do have variations of the Lifeforce build on each character that has it
so for example, some characters get Rondo of Roses for damage protection, some get miracle and the two cover characters that have true Awakening use that as well
Then I pair Lifeforce with some form of below certain HP abilities, like Defiants, Wrath, Balthus Relic, adjutant Holst, adjutant Balthus
for example my Lysithea is sometimes a caster or melee attacker either a Trickster or Mortal Savant, or Gremory

Lifeforce, Proficient Witstrike, Wild abandon, Wrath, Defiant Crit, Boost Critical, Luna, either Holst or Caspar as an adjutant

All weapons can be reforged to +100. I'm not sure where I got it.
Can I use constance instead of Lysithea but use the same build?
I'm trying to give lysithea bolting and can't get it for the life of me and I though that constance gets both Agnea's arrow and bolting, and can still benefit from the effect of Lysithea's hero artifact. And with her Crest, I can spam combat arts much more often
You can't use the exact same stuff because every character has different abilties. You would have to rework it based on what constance has
@@BurnerRebornGaming that makes sense, I will try to adapt it a bit because it is being so annoying trying to get her to inherit bolting, I accidentally had level 3 fimbulventer on constance and almost first time I use it lysithea immediately learns it but when it comes to bolting she said no. I randomly ended up sending lysithea through mortal savant and ran her with thunderbrand with proficient witstrike, she’s super fun to use in that kind of build
Yeah she is, I do prefer caster but shes built surprisingly well for Savant too.

My Lysithea is a Dancer, with her Silver Sword with Invert Offense/Magic, she is the best slayer and support character, her sword knockdowns so often with her ability it does extra damage, I highly recommend!

How do you find a weapon with invert strength/magic? Is it just luck?
@@iplayeddishonored2475 Yes its luck, I replay side missions a lot, once you get Silver swords as drops from mission I'd do that, or just keep repairing weapons rank B or A to get more chances
My favorite caster. When I saw she had no elemental essence I was sad...then I realized she didn't need it.
Yeah for sure, im kinda glad she doesn't have it because if she did it would have been Dark Essence and I didn't want to be locked into Dark spells. Not saying there's anything wrong with them its just I wanted to pick a more interesting build designed around her unique skills.
@@BurnerRebornGaming I agree. It's sad though that Dark, Ice and Light don't have ultimate spell versions like Fire, Lightning and Wind. When a character has an Elemental Essence the character feels gimped, whereas Lysithea is just whatever combos. By gimped I mean Byleth who wants to play all elements but only gets Fire Essence.
@@dspellcaster1027 dark ice and light do have ultimate versions. Shez and Jeritza get dark, Flayn and Rodrigue get light, and Ignatz and Bernadetta get ice. Those are just examples not the only ones

I can confirm that Proficient Witstrike functions as per description
A. it does nothing to increase damage for Tomes and Magic since that is calculated using Mag
B. for Melee Weapons and Bows though instead of using Str to Calculate damage it uses Mag, so Proficient Witstrike on a Mortal Savant Lysithea assuming she has more Mag than Str will deal more damage, whilst having more Str will lower your damage

Im trying to create Bernadetta build right now. Huberts on the list too but I havn't gotten to him yet. Ironically hes the second character I mastered but he wasn't being asked for until like 2 days ago so I had to move him down a bit on the list.
Lysithea could also just run Dark Spikes T to melt cavalry units.
Yeah but Dark Spikes is too situational. If you end up on a map that you know has a bunch of cavalry units its super OP mind you, so you could always move the spells around depending on the map.
Dark Spikes has a lot of might and I like how quickly you can act out of it. It also launches foes for Cursed Expulsion so no losses there. Extra effectiveness on cavs is a nice cherry on top. My go to combo with Agnes’s Arrow for good damage and area clearing.
So have u figured out which does more damage? Bolting or Dark Spikes? As you said it’s probably up to enemy layout
One build I have really been enjoying is dancer Marianne she has been hard carrying me through maps and she just looks so pretty in the class too
I tried her on Dancer for a while, it was pretty fun tbh. I ultimately picked a different class but the difference isn't too major.
I use Dancer Marianne just for the Heroes reference. Can't wait to see Burner's build though!
Would love to see a Felix build! His personal ability Intense Velocity could make him an incredible Trickster or Bow Knight!

Lysithea is too a stupidly op Dark Knight because dark Knight has a lot of projection on its regular and strong attack to trigger Cursed Explosion and because... well it is Lysithea, she will one shot everything anyway so losing a bit of raw power for mobility is very great too. (However, there is nothing interesting to say about it, it is basically the same idea than Gremory Lysi) Another advantage is that you keep Suttungr free because, let's be honest, it is the bread and butter of any Gremory/Dark Bishop.
Oh and psa, Agnea's Arrow is not even locked behind Suttungr + Charon because one of the ng+ char (the one who can learn every op spells) can teach it.
Yeah I know but using the book actually makes Agnea's Arrow a stronger version of the spell. I can't say how big the difference is but I think its worth noting. That book is really op and can be used on any mage, true but the chances of you using 2 mages that need that book in one party is pretty slim so you can always alternate it.
@@BurnerRebornGaming I didn't check numbers, but the attack should be bigger at least since it is what the essence of are cleary doing. Can't wait to see you do a wind build (so Petra, Yuri or Linhardt. Actually Claude may be able to use the same stuff as them and completly abuse Leader's Acumen but it is more a meme strat) because some stuff are really stupid with it.

I made my Lysithea a Mortal Savant with Thunderbrand, Foudroyant Strike, and either Hades or Dark Spikes. FStrike, knocks enemies down and deals significant damage, the spell finishes them off. Mind you I wasn't playing on Maddening, so I imagine this build would not be nearly so effective there.
I mainly just loved that her basic YYYX combo launched enemies and made all the generics in front of you just vanish in an explosion of purple. Made getting those S ranks so much easier.
Yeah for sure. My builds are designed for like the highest level of play on maddening so if your not there yet, or not playing on that difficulty you don't need to go this far lol
I find Hades Ω to be a better option than Agnea's Arrow. Sure, Agnea's Arrow probably has better damage output, but inflicting spellbound on anything that manages to survive Lysithea's first spell is far more valuable. It's second only to frozen for neutralizing threats because it doesn't matter how slow your class is when everybody is moving slow and can't exactly guard.
Dark Spikes T is also an option, but any cavalry foolishly using Lance Jab will be melted by Bolting before Dark Spikes T could begin to be useful for her so late in the game. Besides, Lysithea doesn't get Essence of Darkness, which doesn't seem to do as much for Hades Ω than it does for Dark Spikes T. And burning is also a nice cherry on top for running Hades Ω.
EDIT: Also, remember to order Lysithea to attack high res enemies even if you're controlling her. You will get the damage boost from Virtuoso and will melt them faster.

My Lysithea is a Trickster that has a Rapier+100 with Invert Phys/Magic. She literally one shots Fortress Knights
Any strongly built mage can one shot fortress knights, they have basically no resistance. The enemies I'm fighting are like 10 to 20x more tanky then the enemies you would be fighting on any other map.
Currently I have her use Hades and Abraxas. Essentially making her a true Gremory. Currently farming so I can't check but I swear she had some kind of dark element buffing in her essense of darkness. Or did I just imagine that?
Nah she doesn't but she should have. What you might be referring too is the black and dark magic class uniques. At first glance it looks like that just buffs dark spells but black actually refers to all the other spells that isn't dark.
(Sword of Seiros + Life Force) Lysithea is also fun. If she is low leveled this is an excellent build to get her caught up.
However 50% spell cooldown reduction and crest of Gloucester is so dang broken. She is one of the best characters with magic.
Finally got Sothis to teach Lysithea Bolting but it took HOURS

I liked using thunderbrand with her because of witstrike, kind of like mortal savant for sword classes on her more. I also did this in three houses because it was fun to give her 2 relics

I hate using Gremory, or any of the full-mage classes since I hate dealing with grapplers, which never seem to care about spells or attacks.

So quick question, how do you get Lysithea and Mercedes relic tomes? Same with blutgang, I’m playing Golden Wildfire and have been wondering how I get these relics I just beat the map Dorothea joins in.
So I know some you get from prologues while others you get by unlocking byleth and finishing chapter 6 with an A rank, I don't remember any specifics though

if her main stats are magic dex then should you just level her 1-120 as a gremory? or do maybe 40 levels as a trickster for dex and speed bonuses then the rest as gremory? i feel like it doesn't really matter either way since lysithea is so strong already
You pretty much nailed it. I recommend you level 40 levels of Trickster and 80 of Gremory. If you do all Gremory youll max your mag stat around level 90. So for the sake of min maxing, you want to slow it down around 80 maybe even 75 and then the rest into Trickster to get the biggest bang for your buck.
I haven't gone through three hopes fully yet but can someone confirm for me if Thyrsus is or isn't in the game? I haven't seen it going around
It's def in the game, otherwise I wouldn't have it.
I prefer the Bow Knight class for Lysithea. It sounds odd, but this class is fast and easily send enemies away. I think the Gremoire attack speed is too slow for my taste.
I agree with you in the sense that gremorys attack speed is too slow, but this build does not require any attacking. The spells come off cool down so quickly that you can literally spam her spells and call it a day. There is no need to use the gremorys normal combo.
Im trying to make my lysithea into a dual creat bearer, dual heroes relic wielder GOD!
Cause shes the only character who can use two relics properly so thats been my headcanon since 3H

So far.. Lysithea. That will likely change by the time I'm done though.
Personally, I'm running Lysithea as a trickster with fetters of dromi and the dark creator sword using proficient witstrike as one of her abilities. I've also got Mercedes as a permanent adjutant attached to her with light assist so Lysithea can just get her HP back that she loses from life force and wild abandon
That's smart! So does that mean light assist actually gives you healing? How significant is it?

But yeah light assist infused attacks do heal you. So once you get a bunch of scrubs in a combo finish it off with a strong attack to heal back most of your damage.
It works best with Edelgard and Shez' tornado combo finisher because you can keep it going by mashing the strong attack button essentially to bring you right back up to full.
How i get bolting in lysithea?
You teach it to her. I explain how in the video.
She has a sacred weapon f has relentless magic. It’s as if the developers wanted you to use her to nuke the field

In curious can she learn Agnes arrow like she can with bolting? I manage to get a tome that has invoke crest 3 on it. I wanted to use it on her. Constance would be her perfect trainer as she has access to both if she can learn it too

So that's what the game was talking about reaching lv 3 for combat art but I am still confused about it.
So let's see if I get it: one unit has to have a lv 3 combat art and has a speech bubble near it, the other unit I want it learning that CA must have A rank in that skill, and has to be in their recommended class. Then I have to pair them together and make the teacher use it constantly like I'm trying to get the CA to lv3.

Thanks! So the reason Lysithea uses this book is because its actually created for her crest. This gives her a powered up version of Agneas arrow. This actually makes her the best character for this book.

Lysithea doesn't learn bolting on her own, you have to teach it to her via constance or sothis

Hello. I would like to ask regarding resetting a character. I know that after maxing out a character to 120 you can reset the level back to 1 and then maxing it out again to 120 but now focused on a specific class only would yield higher stat gains. My question is that, for example i reset shez back to 1 and wanted to build her as gremory, would the gremory class chosen at the start before pumping levels yield higher stats than a warlock class or bishop class? Or will it produce the same stat gain all throughout the class tree?
Each class has different stat gains and the master classes normally have the highest % gains overall

So… can Mortal Savants not use offensive spells or something?
Yeah they can. its the cast speed that's different. If you run a mortal savant your going to potentially get close to or higher damage, but will not be able to keep up with the cast speed. This build allows you to spam spell after spell without any waiting in between casts.

Trickster thunderbrand is actually stronger tho
I tested her as thunderbrand and I wouldn't say shes stronger. Her damage is higher on all of her spells and damage for sure but it can't compete with the speed of these casts. I tested this out by running the same map 3 times on each variant and thunderbrand an average was slower by about 30 seconds.

about proficient witstrike have you already checked if it makes a difference to equip it to lysithea or not?
That's a toughy. I think it might benefit your normal combo's but even if it did, we don't use our combos much. Feel free to replace it with something else.

Mr. Burner, have you tried making a discord server? It'd probably be a lot easier to know how to make builds and have different suggestions. It'd also be easier to compare builds amongst your audience.
That's a really good idea, the only problem at this point in time though is I'm just barely staying ahead of the build releases so I wouldn't really have much time to communicate or create the discord server initially. I'll def make one once I get ahead though. Thank you for the suggestion.

This build really is cool to see, trying to build up my lysithea myself rn, however I’m pretty sure that the Apex skills are all bugged right now and actually lowering overall damage. Instead of increasing the crit damage it’s actually setting the crit multiplier to a value lower than the base crit multiplier. So right now this isn’t the highest damage possible, but if they get patched and do what they’re actually supposed to do, then yes this will just go up in effectiveness.
I thought i use Sothis for the spells since she has both of them , and Lysithea learnt Agneas Arrow after like 3 enemys but Bolting takes ages, do i need to change sothis to the class where she learnt Bolting or does it not matter?
Yeah im not sure. I tried playing around with that but the RNG is too random to tell. It took me about 2 hours to teach her bolting.

she can get Lune if im not mistaken. that reduces defense and if its like most fire emblem games, that just the broader term as it should reduce both res and defense. in normal games it ignores them completely.
Luna only reduces defense. Not resistance. There is a different ability for resistance and she doesn't have it.
I run Lysithea as a Mortal Savant with a Witstrike blade and Dark Spikes/Hades. It's fun to watch how much HP she takes off of armor units with her blade because of the magic damage lol

I completely disagree with Mortal Savant being weaker than Gremory. The skill ceiling is significantly higher with Mortal Savant, but the speed at which you're killing bosses as a Gremory is rather slow compared to MS.
That being said, Gremory has always been a solid choice.
I think you JUST getting done with a Mortal Savant build kind of influenced you away from making another one - that of course is conjecture and I could be wrong.
I'd also like to say that both Edelgard and Ferdinand make horrifyingly powerful Mortal Savants in their own right. I am 100% certain that Edelgard and Ferdinand would be ripping those bosses apart quite a bit faster than Lysithea as a Gremory.
Yeah I can understand that point of view for sure. I love Mortal Savant, its my favorite class. Its always one of the strongest builds on every character. So although the Mortal Savant is stronger then the Gremory, I think the Gremory being able to cast so fast is really where this build shines. Also just as a note in case you didn't know, the enemies fought in this video are much much stronger then enemies in any other mission, If I was to pick a normal mission to test this build in, it like 1 shots on everything. With all of that being said though, I'm gonna make a mortal savant version to see which one is truely stronger.

MS is my favorite class too, and I understand that some people (myself included) kind of err on the side of caution when it comes to their favorite class -- unlike, uh, unintelligent people who are heavily biased FOR their favorite class.
So I take it as a sign of intellect that you don't leap to the conclusion that your favorite class dominates everything. If anything, you downplay it.
All this being said: Edelgard can use the Sword of Seiros, which helps immensely at offsetting damage dealt to self via Lifeforce. If you combine Lifeforce, Wild Abandon, Dual Onslaught, Flare (which works really well with Solar Prominence and Elemental combos in general), and perhaps Mortal Struggle -- well, I'd assume Edelgard would deal utterly absurd damage.
Maybe you'd like to try that out?

Its the highest level paralogue. You can only unlock it after beating the game on a route where you unlock Byleth. Then new game plus to the next route and get Gate Keeper. This mission is Gate Keepers Paralogue battle.

Yeah totally. My builds are designed around breaking a character as much as I can, but that doesn't mean you cant have a blast using something completely different.
I’d agree for the most part but I’d say swap critical boost and proficient wit strike for life force and defiant crit. Also swapping Agnes’s arrow for dark spikes.
Life force might give you more power but it comes at the cost of having to use items to heal. She has no way of healing back the health naturally. I only add Life Force when A character has healing capabilities. I also don't use any abilities that require a unit to be below a certain % health because there not any better then other abilities with a really difficult to reach cost.
As far as dark spikes. The ability isn't too bad but its only really good against Cavalry units. Pretty much any advanced spell is stronger other then that specific situation.

I used Sothis but I don't think its gonna make a difference on how long it takes. These builds take me an extra hour or two every time I have to teach someone something. lol
In my opinion the hit detection of Agneas arrow is weird not worth slotting unless you wanna give up hades for luna to crowd control which in my opinion hades is better due to its sheer size and barely a difference in damage.
Agneas Arrow has the advantage of being able to be learned and bolstered by Charon's Relic Tome
It has the glaring flaw however of not being a good move to throw raw since it's slow and it's a single hit so the AI can react fast enough and guard or dodge, you need a way to inflict hitstun first. However it's definitely universally the highest damaging spell for lysithea. That would change if she had essence of darkness buuuut not everyone is perfect
That's true. With Mr. Burner's build though, you can produce the stun gauge with Bolting, and deal massive stun gauge damage and damage itself. He made a smart choice, honestly.
@@jorgiem42069 I mean if you're triggering the stunning Guage that quickly in that scenario it still doesn't make sense to use agneas arrow enemies in this game don't just stop moving when their Guage is empty so it's not gonna sit there and take it also you're prob already in a scenario in that instance where just pressing x and using the finisher works better anyways because of agnea arrows horrible design you're going to rack up similar damage just using the finisher and you're going to take out a crowd along with it.
@@boltstrike644 even without essence of darkness hades still rivals agneas arrow because of the burn proc that goes with it and it's less expensive on durability to its more spam friendly...tho I admit if you have a +100 weapon durability is no longer a problem to worry about I still don't think agnea arrow works.
Hades is very strong as well, your not wrong in thinking I could have used that. If you prefer using that ability this build really doesn't change. I prefer Agneas arrow because it combos especially well with bolting. I also don't have any issues using the spell, I think the hit box is fine on it, its much better then the advanced Ice ability, now that ability is a nightmare to learn. I feel like Hades is easier to pull off but Agneas results in higher potential.
So could I use Constance to teach Lysithea bolting? Also could you do Byleth next?
Yes, you can also use Sothis (NG+). Constance is easier to acquire and teach to other characters though. Also from what I've noticed, the chance/rate of which you teach a certain combat art or magic spell is determined by the support rank between the unit on the field and the adjutant. A ranks cause the teaching to occur frequently.
I can't say for sure but I would agree with your support rank sentiment, I haven't seen anyone mention it so wasn't sure If I wanted to tell people without knowing for sure, I'll test it some more and see but your probably right on the money.

Before I started new game plus, I was trying to get Agnea's, Bolting, Meteor, and Sagitae on Byleth, but I gave up because it took too long. If it works on my current playthrough I'll let you know.
