Hi James, it did look windy, but the audio was totally unaffected👌👌 The lidar and google maps images were very very clear but getting up close really gives a true perspective of there size. Hard to know why it was given this name, maybe it was used for ceremonies until the more modern age? Great walk, well done, have a great week!!
Thank you Bob the weather is forever changing here at this time of the year-Lucky at the moment but I am sure this will change -Thank you for watching my small adventure
So good just being up there and day dreaming as to why ? Thank you for watching my small adventure in history -Also being local it means much more to us-I will never be able to look at the Cattle there now without thinking they are your herd-⭐😊👍
@@jameswalksinhistory3848 it’s a fantastic walk - a decent 10k loop from the farm. I’ve discovered several new places thanks to your videos but this one is familiar 😀
A great video as usual James, one of my favourite area's and another possible route for King Alfred's march from Athelney, this area between Warminster and White Sheet hill, I find really fascinating, as to where Eggberts stone was located, could have been Cold Kitchen Hill, maybe Court Hill, which is nearby, or as far a field as Stourhead :)
Thank you once again a fascinating video James. I noticed when you put up the map it is one of the Deverills? To me, you can't beat the scenery & the countryside of the Deverills, so very peaceful & beautiful. I can't remember which of the Deverills it was & how to get there, if you please? Thank you again James. Penny
Being a earthen Long Barrow as opposed to a chambered Barrow -the earthen ones are large but West Kennet is over 100ft longerthan this one-Thank you so much for watching -I must have a binge watch on your videos soon 👍

You are correct-Kingston Deverill then follow the footpath off of the lane to the Ford up the hill -Head North for one mile 👍
Spectacular place, must be on a par to West Kennet with its size?
