If they ever were to make another Back To The Future, you nailed it with saying it should be about Marty’s kids trying to get Marty and Doc to meet. We never really got that backstory with them, and would be the perfect way to make a 4th film feel necessary.
I've been watching your videos since Covid and my favourite videos you make are these lists of films you just like as opposed to your rankings of specific franchises, so I'm really glad you're making more of these.

Amazing Spider-Man 3, where it’s the period between AS2 and No Way Home where it’s a little darker and Spider-Man is not pulling his punches after Gwen’s death (and obviously by the end of the movie, he learns to be friendly neighborhood Spider-Man again) could be incredible!
Back to the Future is the one franchise from the 80's that hasn't been destroyed by modern day Hollywood. We don't need a preachy BTTF with girl boss characters telling us why men suck and of course Marty will be a bad dad.
I’m not mad, or even simmering gently! But I’d prefer it to be left alone. I like some of these ideas but, personally, I feel Back to the Future would have to be done very carefully and very well - can we trust these studios to do that anymore?
The thing about The Mummy is that, if I'm correct, Brendan Frasier suffered a lot of injuries while doing those movies. The reason his son is such a huge focus in the third one is because simply put, he didn't have it in him to keep doing these stunts. If they did do a legacy sequel, I question if he would be able to do it. Though, to be fair, it's been two decades, so it's also very likely he's healed since then.
Here are four legacy sequels I’d love to see. These are in no particular order. 1. A direct sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors WITHOUT Robert Englund as Freddy Kruger 2. National Treasure 3 3. A They Live sequel that updates the commentary and action of the original 4. A direct sequel to Aliens that ignores everything after Alien & Alien
@@MichaelJordanGoat2324 An animated Nightmare on Elm street legacy sequel that takes place in the early 90s after the events of Dream warriors with the survivors still alive. Imagine the amount of creativity with the dream sequences & storytelling, especially if they go with an artstyle like Wicked city 1987 & Perfect blue 1997.
Would love to see a National Tresaure 3. I thought the first two were a ton of fun. It is sad to see how Disney has fallen and Cage won't work with them anymore, can't blame him.
I absolutely love your ideas for Lion King, Spider-Man, and Back to the Future! Not sure if the last one is possible, but it would be awesome if it could be.
"I love seeing characters at different phases of life" - this is why I enjoy Omen 2 and 3 with Damien. I remember you not liking 3 just as most probably don't but I think it's underrated
Hey Sean , My choice for a legacy sequel would be a James Bond one off movie with Pierce Brosnan , do a movie to give him a proper send off. I think it would be neat to see a 007 who was been out of action for a decade or so. I also think they could bring Michelle Yeoh in due to her recent success
As much as I like Andrew, if they do make an Amazing 3, Sony would probably have to be heavily involved, and I don’t know about you, but I don’t have ANY faith in their live-action department.
They have to bring back Jake Busey as well for this new Starship Troopers. It's funny you mentioned this sequel because my oldest son loves the og and suggested his own version of a sequel and it wasn't bad lol. Keep it up, Sean. You and Cody Leach will always be my pastime at work!
Just hear me out I would like to see a Jaws legacy sequel and my idea for it is that it would be like a Godfather Part 2 style movie where it’s both a sequel and a prequel, for the sequel element bring back Richard Dreyfuss as an old school Collage Professor who has a student and marine that joins with him to retrieve something from U.S.S. Indianapolis wreckage while theirs a shark that’s trying to attack them, and while that’s going on we flashback to the 1940s and follow a young Quint during the event of U.S.S. Indianapolis, how he struggled to survive and witnessing his crew members being eaten by sharks. You can have Steven Spielberg return as producer and have mix of both animatronics and CGI while also try not showing the shark too much. Yes I agree the jaws should have never been a franchise but I feel like theirs potential with this.
No to Back to the Future Part IV but I wouldn’t mind a Wayne World’s 3, Austin Powers 4, Lethal Weapon 5, and Rush Hour 4. I believe we are getting a Rush Hour 4 like we have for a Bad Boys 4 and Beverly Hills Cop 4 but it’s in the early stages. And Mike Myers is open to doing another Austin Powers. The Lion King (1994) did have two sequels but they were direct to video. I didn’t know The Sandlot had a sequel too. Michael J. Fox has Parkinson’s. A BTTF4 is not happening and the whole point of Part II and III was to explain that time travel was dangerous and Doc regretted ever making a time traveling DeLorean in the first place although he did create a time traveling locomotive at the end of Part III. It’s not happening. You want to destroy the IP like Indiana Jones did after the first three? Christopher Lloyd is already 85. If there was another BTTF movie, it’s most likely a complete remake/reboot with a mostly new cast and it would be awful like when Saved by the Bell, Full(er) House, and Punky Brewster coming back. While I enjoyed Face the Music more than Bogus Journey, it was quickly forgotten no different than The Matrix 4. Some IPs are better left in the past. Not every legacy sequel will turn out like Top Gun: Maverick. There are some remakes I can understand existing. For instance in video games, I’m glad Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth do exist. Now I’ll probably always prefer the OG as it remains my favorite video game of all-time. But I can understand the remakes existing to raise a new generation. And the remakes can tell a deeper story and offer better character development thanks to the modern graphical technology we have now. I think remakes and reboots are better in video games than they are in movies thanks to the graphical limitations we had back in the 80s and 90s. With movies, it feels more like a cash grab. There’s this modern Hollywood politics added in there with WOKE messages and then the OG characters are thrown in there strictly for nostalgia.
This is just kinda a mix between legacy sequels, direct sequels and just films set in the same world that i want to see: Big Chill, Stand By Me, Colour of Money, Field of dreams, last boy scout, a few good men, groundhog day, true lies, crimson tide, face off, enemy of state, oceans movie, minority report, national treasure, children of men, district 9, inception, source code, girl with dragon tatoo, ex machina, nice guys, bay driver and tenet
@TroubledAroma125 ya with inception I'd prefer it to just be a separate plot and group of characters, just another film set in the same world. I don't need anything more on Cobb or any of the other characters from the first, I just would like to see what else can be done within the world of inception
I don’t want a back to the future reboot but i think a legacy sequel could be possible but it would have to be great with excellent writing and as much of the original cast as possible, it wouldn’t be something easy to pull off successfully because it’s typically a franchise that people don’t want to be touched but there’s endless possibilities you can do with modern technology, de aging Micheal J Fox for a event taking place in the past and so on

The Neverending Story King Conan (Arnold must do this before he dies) Flight of the Navigator - I think you could reboot this by just making aliens being imaginative and having a lot of new characters to explore and fun things to see and its a kid and an AI Spaceship that explores the galaxy with them and you could have diverse set of kids on the ship and its very non violent and just fun and whimsical most of all. Its a fantasy about kids who skip school and go on a cool adventure and try to get back home.
I’m so glad back to the future never got a sequel. No matter what, that trilogy ended on a pure high note, and the creators behind it cherish it so much they did everything they can to protect its legacy.

@@bobivenablez I don't get people like you or Sean, how many older franchises do you want to see modern day Hollywood destroy? BTTF is the one franchise from the 80's that hasn't been touched. Let's leave it alone.
@@EddieHenderson92 Because making a new movie doesn't affect the original trilogy. I didn't like the star wars sequels, but it didn't make me like the originals any less. So if someone has a good idea for a bttf movie im all for it, the worst that can happen is there's one more bad movie in the world.
No series has done the Legacy Sequel as perfectly as Creed! Creed as a franchise of its own brought back Rocky and then moved on without him to great success. Yes, TG: Maverick is probably a better film but are you ready to follow those characters without Maverick the way audiences have followed Adonis without Rocky? Didn’t think so
Do a modern remake to Big Trouble in Little China. God bless James Hong. He’s already 95 and still working in Hollywood. Terminator needs to be rebooted completely.
I wouldn’t mind another Back to the Future. I think it should be about Doc and Clara’s kids Jules and Verne. Where they take over the family business after Doc decides that he is too old for time traveling.
We really Want TASM 3 and Sam Rami's Spider-Man 4. If they make TASM 3, I would love it to start from the end of TASM 2 and conclude that storyline and either end when he is teleported to the MCU or back to his universe (The rest of the movie take place a year to a couple years after gwen's death). If they make Sam Rami's Spider-Man 4, I would love for it to be aboout Peter Parker adjusting to adult life/being a dad and teaching his son or daughter how to be Spider-man after they get powers when he takes them on a mission, so when he retires the city is protected and include flashbacks in the movie to show what happened between the end of Spider-Man 3 and No Way Home (Start movie with portal opening because it starts from the end of No Way Home).
As a 14 year old i genuinely absolutely love the idea of back to the future 4 after just having watched all 3 of the films for the first time a few weeks ago. It would definitely be a hard movie to make, but it could have one of the biggest payoffs if they do it right.
*Wolf Children is one I would love to see get a legacy sequel.* The sequel would be about the wolf children now grown up, on the paths they chose and how their path influenced how they raise their own child. The cousins end up crossing paths and through each other they learn about their other half that was kept hidden from them. The sequel should be told from the cousins point of view to make the film stand-alone from the original. Follow ups to original anime films are a rarity (at most they can be spin-offs or set in the same universe) and director Mamoru Hosoda already did a sequel already, The Girl who Leapt Through Time (which was a stand-alone sequel to the original novel).
I want legacy sequels for some famous old school teen movies. Examples could be Ferris Bueller, Breakfast Club, Say Anything, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, etc.
So the Kill Bill sequel, hear me out: Elle Driver isn’t dead, she’s blind…I know the black mamba snake was left in Bud’s trailer so you can guess she was eventually bitten BUT…what if she wasn’t?? Now imagine Elle training Nikki, Pai Mei style, in order to go after The Bride to get revenge for Vernita and the rest of the Deadly Vipers, for blinding Elle, AND for killing Bill. OMG imagine how The Bride’s own daughter could factor into this since her mom killed her dad 😮. And AND cast Maya Hawke as BB!!!
The A-team 2 November Man 2 Man From Uncle 2 Johnny English 4 Fun With Dick and Jane 2 The Tuxedo 2 The Italian Job 2 Daredevil 2. Present it looks like Elektra will be in Deadpool 3, so how amazing it wil if there making Elektra 2 and Ben Afleck wil return it and then making a new Daredevil movie with him too. Epic 2. Always Strange Fox does make sequel where there be standalone
Sean's t shirt got me thinking, imagine a legacy sequel to Godzilla and Kong 😂😂. Like a story where every past version (or the best versions) of Godzilla and Kong all crossover and return in one big monsterverse film. That would be mind blowing
The only reason I don’t want an England Freddy sequel is if Blumhouse is involved. They have a terrible track record, Exorcist is latest example from them
I'd love to see a Tobey Spiderman 4, in fact i even sat down and wrote my own pitch for a 4th Tobey Spiderman film a couple months ago about Peter and his daughter and i honestly think it would be a cool continuation of the story
Kill Bill Vol 3 would suck. The black girl getting her revenge on beatrix kiddo/ black mamba/ the bride/ mommy. She feels taking on a international assassin is a good idea.
I think something that would be even better than a Back to the Future legacy movie, would be a Back to the Future x Bill and Ted crossover movie! Y’all are smarter than me, but I think there would be a great movie where Marty McFly’s kid goes back in time to see his parents in the 80’s but ends up in San Dimas and causes Bill and Ted’s original Excellent Adventure to fail, and so they need to pair up with Bill and Ted’s daughters to fix it, or something like that. Both are funny 80’s movies about teenagers who love rock and roll with a time traveling mentor, it would be a perfect cross over. Y’all are smarter than me, what is your idea for a Bill and Ted x Back to the Future movie?
The ones I’d love to see are: 1. A direct sequel to aliens ignoring all the others 2. Evil Dead 4 with Bruce Campbell 3. The Raid 3 4. A proper Friday The 13th part 7 with Tommy Jarvis (like the fan film) 5. Total Recall 2 6. Direct sequel to nightmare on elm street 3 7. Heat 2 (based of the book) 8. Leon the professional sequel with Natalie Portman 9. Sam Raimi Spider Man 4 10. A follow on to George Romeros day of the dead
Love the original mummy movie with Brendan Fraser and I am with you I would love a legacy sequel to that film and Fraser when asked if he would ever be that role again he said 100 percent which that could mean it’s in the realm of possibility in the near future
One glaring omission, and this has been teased for years: We need “Spaceballs: The search for more money” and we need it now! And it better include a girl with a Schwartz joke! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would like to see a sequel to Leon, I wanna see Portman's character as an adult. It could be a good tribute but also work as a stand alone movie(probably)
An interesting list for sure! Sequels I would love to see Spaceballs 2 (there’s been so much Star Wars content since 1987 that this thing could practically write itself!) Spider-Man sequel (I would be more down for a Raimi Spider-Man 4 but I would be open to an amazing 3 too if done right) National treasure (a third is already in development I hope it works out) Fantastia 3 (not sure how much demand or popularity this would get but it would be cool to complete a trilogy and to have an artistic Disney movie for this generation) Firefly season 2 or Serenity 2 (Just a brown coat who would love to see this world and these characters again) HOT TAKE? Back to the future part IV (I know this one probably won’t happen but if it could be done right I would love it. I’ve seen some cool fan ideas for it too) Side note: If a spaceballs 2, Spider-Man 4, or a BTTF part 4 are ever announced they would become some of my most anticipated movies of all time!😅

@@bobivenablez That is a silly mindset, let it go and enjoy the trilogy.
Legion (2010) needs a part 2!!!!!!!!
Excellent list of sequels
7:17 that's what the lion guard is
Or Simba pride
I mean I wanna watch so many of these, but I REALLY wanna watch that Back to the Future movie! Also Starship Troopers.
Uhhhhh, Lion King 2: Simba's Pride exists and it's already amazing
Ehhh it's ok
It’s not amazing it’s just meh
I wouldn’t mind another Back to the Future. I think it should be about Doc and Clara’s kids Jules and Verne. Where they take over the family business after Doc decides that he is too old for time traveling.
So your lion king pitch would be king Lear? If so, I’d be very interested in how it could be pulled off.
Spider-Man 4 & Tasm3
You got them in no way home
That TMNT idea would be so god damn cool
i wanted a pirates 6, 5 was so bad. Deep deserved a true final movie
Great list I'd love to see a legacy sequel for the mummy.
Technically the original Lion King had a sequel called Simba’s Pride , and a sequel series called the Lion Guard.
I think Sean is differentiating legacy sequels from the actual sequels we got.
As a 14 year old i genuinely absolutely love the idea of back to the future 4 after just having watched all 3 of the films for the first time a few weeks ago. It would definitely be a hard movie to make, but it could have one of the biggest payoffs if they do it right.
*Wolf Children is one I would love to see get a legacy sequel.*
The sequel would be about the wolf children now grown up, on the paths they chose and how their path influenced how they raise their own child.
Why? none of those movies need sequels.
I love the back to the future pitch
YES!!!!!
Honestly I would rather have a reboot of Starship Troopers.
BUT WITH CASPER VAN DIEN!!!!
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout Yeah, but I don't feel like the story of Starship Troopers needs to continue.
An anime style show of The Last Ronin could be really amazing
The A-team 2
November Man 2
Man From Uncle 2
Johnny English 4
Fun With Dick and Jane 2
The Tuxedo 2
The Italian Job 2
Daredevil 2.
The problem is the only idea we seem to have is hero that's bitter and jaded
I think Sean and I are the only people who like the Back to the Future pitch
I would love to see Kill Bill Vol. 3. If Quentin Tarrantino won't do it, maybe he'd allow Robert Rodriguez to take a stab at it?
I want a legacy sequel to 'The Bank Dick'
The only reason I don’t want an England Freddy sequel is if Blumhouse is involved. They have a terrible track record, Exorcist is latest example from them
Agree, It’s time to make Back to the Future 4!
No
I'd love to see a Tobey Spiderman 4, in fact i even sat down and wrote my own pitch for a 4th Tobey Spiderman film a couple months ago about Peter and his daughter and i honestly think it would be a cool continuation of the story
Kill Bill Vol 3 would suck. The black girl getting her revenge on beatrix kiddo/ black mamba/ the bride/ mommy. She feels taking on a international assassin is a good idea.
I hope the decendants of marty mcfly or doc are the main characters of bttf4
Lion king is the only one I disagree with. Disney is horrible at honoring their classics
If I had to pick which spiderman legacy sequel I'd want more would be to give andrew his third film
A 4th movie should be entirely about Biff, the unsung king of the Back to the future movies.
Whoa! This is heavy!
The ones I’d love to see are:
1. A direct sequel to aliens ignoring all the others
2. Evil Dead 4 with Bruce Campbell
3. The Raid 3
4. A proper Friday The 13th part 7 with Tommy Jarvis (like the fan film)
5. Total Recall 2
6. Direct sequel to nightmare on elm street 3
7. Heat 2 (based of the book)
8. Leon the professional sequel with Natalie Portman
9. Sam Raimi Spider Man 4
10. A follow on to George Romeros day of the dead
Heat 2 is happening. Its Mann's next movie. Adam Driver is attached right now.
@@jordansweet8054 I saw a while back that it might happen but I’m so glad Michael Mann definitely wants to
@@Greml1no I love the movie and the book is pretty solid. I'm really looking forward to it. I've been missing Mann all these years.
Kill Bill 3 with Maya Hawke playing BB.👍🔥
Love the original mummy movie with Brendan Fraser and I am with you I would love a legacy sequel to that film and Fraser when asked if he would ever be that role again he said 100 percent which that could mean it’s in the realm of possibility in the near future
Is he able to, though? I thought he has spinal injuries from the Mummy movies.
He did but I think it’s all healed up now
One glaring omission, and this has been teased for years: We need “Spaceballs: The search for more money” and we need it now! And it better include a girl with a Schwartz joke! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would like to see a sequel to Leon, I wanna see Portman's character as an adult. It could be a good tribute but also work as a stand alone movie(probably)
An interesting list for sure! Sequels I would love to see
Spaceballs 2 (there’s been so much Star Wars content since 1987 that this thing could practically write itself!)
Spider-Man sequel (I would be more down for a Raimi Spider-Man 4 but I would be open to an amazing 3 too if done right)
National treasure (a third is already in development I hope it works out)
Fantastia 3 (not sure how much demand or popularity this would get but it would be cool to complete a trilogy and to have an artistic Disney movie for this generation)
Firefly season 2 or Serenity 2
(Just a brown coat who would love to see this world and these characters again)
HOT TAKE?
Back to the future part IV
(I know this one probably won’t happen but if it could be done right I would love it. I’ve seen some cool fan ideas for it too)
Side note: If a spaceballs 2, Spider-Man 4, or a BTTF part 4 are ever announced they would become some of my most anticipated movies of all time!😅
Well I read an article a few days ago that Nicolas Cage said National Treasure 3 is not happening which i'm depressed about that I done a whole video on that on my TH-cam channel called Nerdy with Autism...
We need an Ace Ventura Pet Detective 3 at some point. Jim Carey finishes out the trilogy and retires for good.
This is not NEARLY old enough to count as "legacy," but while we're here, we still desperately need an Alita: Battle Angel sequel already.
