    Thanks, Kay. You did such a beautiful job explaining the process. Now I have to try this. I see you made this video before we met a year ago. I'm watching it April 6, 2023. I am working on 3 pairs of socks now. One of those is my first '2-at-a-Time". I know now in the back of my mind I will be trying to decide which yarn to use. At least now I have a small stash and options.
    Thanks again, Kay. Happy knitting!

    Kaye... you are a natural teacher. I learned a lot here on this tutorial. Love how you empathize steps and then show the steps. The pace of your teaching is as well a pace I can stay with. I have been to other sites and I need to return and to return to a time stamp for repeats. Your pace is spot on. I hav not ever heard about sock camp until I started following you on Vlogmas ‘20, now I plan to check it out. Thank you.

    Thank you for explaining this. It looks very easy the part I will struggle with is keeping track of the decreases and at the same time keeping track that I do rows of two for the colors. You really do a great job teaching this. Maybe you could teach other knitting techniques, but that would require you to do other items other than just socks.

    Great tutorial! Certainly useful for those that will be participating at the summer sock camp 2021!
    One suggestion: I noticed that you almost picked up your tail when you switched colors once. You can always tuck the tail inside your cuff/leg opening from the beginning! I’ve picked up my tail one too many time so now I do that as soon as I’m dropping my tail.

  • @meganhorridge6586
    @meganhorridge6586 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    How do you prevent the yarns from tangling? In the past I've tucked the yarn not being currently used in and through the sock to get it out of the way, but that only works with smaller balls of yarn (e.g. scraps).

    • @CrazySockLady

      I keep the cakes in a project bag and turn the bag every time I change colors for a new stripe. Keeps them from wrapping around each other.

    • @CrazySockLady

      I’ve actually never tried that method with socks, I know some have. Knitty Natty may have a tutorial for it if I’m not mistaken.

    Do you ever do striped socks two at a time, and if so, how do you keep your yarns from tangling/twisting?? This is driving me crazy right now and I feel like there should be a simple solution but so far haven't figured it out...

    • @CrazySockLady
      @CrazySockLady  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope I’ve never done these two at a time. I do have a video for regular two at a time socks where I show how I manage my yarn for that.

  • @kellygonio9897

    Hi Kay, do you have a video that shows a knit front back in the way you stitch? I have been watching a video where it shows a knit front back but the yarn is in her right hand and I am having a heck of a time figuring out how to grab the yarn and keep it on my needle from the left hand. Am I making sense?

    • @CrazySockLady
      @CrazySockLady  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry I don't think I have a video for that. But you can just knit into the front of the stitch as normal and then pull the needle around and knit into the back stitch and then pull the stitch off the left needle.
