Hey hey hey! This is super helpful. It saves weave in time and that is my least favorite part. I really appreciate the calm jingle free knitting info. Just a pleasant voice, knitting lesson and no distracting music. Thank you 🙏
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've been knitting more than 50 years and have never liked stripes because of the jog. I wish someone had taught me this 50 or even just 20 years ago!Because of you, I'm going to start knitting with my minis. Thank you so much!
omg... i dont know how many times and techniques I've tried to have a seamless stripe, none look right or seamless, your technique works for me you have no idea how happy i am right now... having ocd seeing jogs in my work kills me ty ty ty
Thank you for this instruction; this method is easier and more straight forward than others I have seen. I love there will be no more ends to weave once the sock is completed!
ahhhhhh! i tried your methods of weaving in ends and jogless color changes some time ago and gave up, because i was left with a big hole. but since that time i’ve tried other methods, failed miserably, and gave up. i revisited this video, and i did it!! and it was easy! thank you so much - now i’m going to knit a million scrappy socks👏🏽👍🏼🥳!
I stumbled onto your video in my search for knitting jogless joins with striped color changes on socks. Your intro has me wanting to see more of your videos. Let me start by saying, I like that your videos don’t blast music and block out what you’re saying. Second your voice is very calm and pleasant, not annoying, condescending. Now… I will watch the rest of your video, I just wanted to add this comment before I forgot.
“Dawn has just broken on this marble head” as a boss always said. So clear, so concise, perfect viewing of each step. Serous props to you. One if not the best tutorials I have watched. You definitely know how to teach in front of a camera. THANK YOU
I really liked your presentation. How you explained your techniques for adding the new color and preventing the jog were excellent. The color combinations were quite beautiful.
❤I love your videos! Your instructions are simple and so helpful. You are an great teacher! I love the practicality of your videos and are my go to. I always go to search your videos for any knitting things I want to learn. I know that this video is older but just wanted to say how much I enjoy them and a huge "Thank you"! Please keep making them!
Thank you!! I was trying to remember this method, but was at a loss with how to do it…this version seems a lot better since I can alternate where to start in the previous row (rather than at the beginning). 💖
This was really, really helpful. I've never made scrappy socks because I didn't want to weave in lots of ends. I also dislike jogs, so you solved that issue too. Thank you!
This tutorial was perfect! I’m just now getting my nerve up to use more than one yarn in my sock knitting. This tutorial is easy to see, easy to understand and easy to hear. I am deaf and hate to read subtitles. They interfere with the visuals. I’m excited to try stripes. Thank you so much.
Excellent i hate weaving in ends. You are basically catching floats every other stitch. I will definitely be using this technique for my projects. Thank you 😊
This is great. Thanks. Your demo and instruction is so understandable I’ve seen this before but it just didn’t click. And thanks to denise(earth tones girl) for reminding us that this great tutorial was posted 2 years ago!!!
What a fantastic tutorial!!! No kidding - very clear instructions verbally, matching the visual clearly!!!videography is wonderful and the tempo makes this a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ video!!! Fabulous job!!!
I’ve been knitting for 59 years and tried various ways to hide the jog with measured success. This is a total game changer! Thanks for a very clear, easy solution.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING video! Thank you so much for such a clear and exact instruction on these two methods of making your sock more professional. I am so happy that I came across you. You're and excellent teacher.
Thanks for this great tutorial! What a pleasure to listen to an articulate person who speaks slowly and clearly. Also, the camera work showed everything very clearly. Much appreciated.
Thank you for this tutorial. You gave enough information verbal,y to clarify what you were doing without talking too much. I will definitely be using the technique for weaving in ends as I go.
Wow! Thank you so much for the excellent tutorial. Both the weaving in ends and jogs are very aggravating and now I know how to eliminate both. God bless you BB❤
I *love* that you show the inside of your work. For some reason I’m always v curious about this part esp when knitting stripes and weaving in so thanks so much for that! 👀 😸🩵
This is the best tutorial I have ever seen! I want to thank you so very much - you are a natural teacher and by taking your time you have demonstrated perfectly each technique so easily and the camera shots are terrific! I again thank you so very much.
I'm working on my first striped sock, and this video is exactly what I was looking for. I hate weaving in ends and this video is perfect for avoiding that. Thank you!!!
Great video! I’ve watched others on these same two techniques but found yours to be much more clearly explained and illustrated. I especially like that you showed the inside off the sock.
Thank you VERY MUCH for the tutorial on weaving in the ends as you go!! It was so easy and not having to weave in all those ends--why anyone would not do this is beyond me!!! I love knitting scrappies and this is just great!
Great technique. I learned another trick yesterday. Take a drop of fabric glue for those little ends. That way you can cut them shorter and still secure them.😊
Absolutely fantastic!!!!...I'm a fanatical sock knitter, but the thought of weaving in so many ends in a scrappy project turned me off.....until now!...thank you so much!
This was very helpful, your technique of adding new yarn and weaving the end in first before actually starting the new color is very helpful. Now I understand how it's done. Thank you for this tutorial 💕
Thank you very much for great lesson on weaving ends in as you go and switching colors seamlessly. These are invaluable techniques everyone should know and use!!
I really enjoyed your video, and I am looking forward to using both of the techniques you covered. It was very well explained and demonstrated too. Since I also make quilts, I love this "scrappy" look of using the small bits of yarn to form the stripes. Thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you for an excellent tutorial Marce! This totally changes my mindset regarding stripey projects! The millions of ends to weave in always deterred me but weaving in as you go is a game changer. Saving the video for when the time comes that I give it a try.
Thank you for this demonstration. It is very helpful. I think this would work even when just adding a new ball of yarn. Less weaving in of ends is always good. Thank you
This is just what I was looking for! I've used this weave-in-as-you-go method for years, along with the jogless stripes, but didn't know how to explain the weaving easily. I can link to your great video - two excellent and necessary striping techniques in one vid - thank you so much!
Thank you for a very clear demonstration of this technique. I slowed it to 75% and watched the first time. It's what I was looking for as a method for securing ends as I go and would work for stripes and stranded work. I don't attempt projects with more than 2 colors in a single row! Your video is great and now in my knitting folder so I can easily find again.
I stumble across this episode yesterday and now I am obsessed and want to knit a pair of socks like these. Can you share the pattern? Teach a class on you tube? Please!
