Love watching this back just for Leon’s movement. Best striker in the Welterweight division bar none. I used to train out of UTC in Erdington, where Leon and Fabian fought out of, so I have followed Leon’s progress through the rankings. Is man is a different beast but if Leon can keep it on the feet as long as possible and utilise his TDD when required, he has the ability to win a decision. In fact people criticise him for his safety first fighting because he has a lot of decisions, but there are multiple examples where he was ground and pounding his opponent into submission but the bell went before the ref called it off

Siam Boxing got to say I do prefer the thai style flow, I find it more appealing but as you say the striking here from Leon is exactly what is needed for MMA

@Paul Maximus he was a muay thai fighter, now a muay thai coach i think he was also a strength and conditioning coach for footballers at one point so hes got some knowledge
He would've walked through masvidal, shame that fight never happened. Masvidals best weapons are just the muay Thai staple round kicks etc. Things that Leon is both technically as good at (if not better) but with much greater reach and those deadly elbows too.

His physique is a great example of balance, he has the necessary muscles, not enough, and less missing, I could say that he is the most athletic physique of absolutely all sports, and easy, he could win in a street fight almost all the people in the world (taking out heavier ufc fighters obviously), I think😶🌫️

This really makes me want to kick my training into overdrive. (No pun intended) I'm an aspiring MMA fighter. Been training for 4 years now in Muay Thai and started Jujitsu last year. Really trying to get better at it.

Very nice. The only thing I would sort of fix here is making the back straight punch longer. It's too short. Gotta throw that body into it. More commitment!
Never heard of this man until his fight with usman and now I see all the people who had faith in him from years ago. It’s so strange how you never know about amazing fighters even with all their supporters until they beat an even more recognised amazing fighter. Edit: Now I’m even getting recommended a podcast with Joe Rogan and Leon. It’s sad but another prime example how people only wanna support you majorly when you’re up
