- Finding the right suspension for the F80 M3 was something I wanted to find out. After giving it sometime to settle in, I think I made up my decision. In this video, I review my personal opinion on the KW DDC vs the Bilstein B16 Coilovers.
Look, everyone at the end of the day has their own needs and preferences. This new suspension fills my needs and so far have been blown away by it.

The best suspenion for the F80 is the Intrax 1k2 with ARC and Black Titan.
It is true, the KW is a lot more compliant compared to the B16... And for this reason, it was rather disappointing on track. Most of my mates eventually went with B16 DCC or Nitron coilovers.
I’ve never felt what true good ride quality has felt like yet 😅😅 one day tho! Coils for sure 🔥🔥🔥 Fiancé comments are always the best 😂 I relate
In another video it was mentioned that the reason Bilstines don’t go lower than 1.6 is because they feel it is unsafe for the front axle. They said going below 1.6 inches will change the angle of the arms too steeply. I have no hard evidence, just quoting another video from a member. But KW know what they are doing as well so who knows what’s right. 😊
Good stuff! I've had my kw ddc's on my f80 for over 5,000 miles now and they still ride great.

wonder how the Bilstein Damptronic would compare, for an apples to apples
Ken, this is the best review I’ve seen on KW and Bilstein coilovers. You having experienced both brands puts you at another level to speak about this topic. I own a 2015 335i and I’ve been dying to lower it, but lowering springs is not something I want to do. I’ve been researching this topic for about 2 to 3 years and I’ve made my decision, all thanks to you.

Got kw v3 on the b7 rs4 absolutely transformed the car 100% absolutely mental hiw she handles now but U gotta pay to play :-)
