Oh yeh the original was a technical marvel, in many ways more impressive then the Beeb version due to the Elk having even more limitations. I loved both versions back in the day and in fact made friends due to the commonality of owning an Elk and especially Elite.
Got an AP5 arriving in a couple of weeks and a copy of the co-pro version of Elite, only thing I can't find is the elk co-pro anywhere, can't see any on ebay or find any for sale on stardot, where could I get hold of one?
Some nice add ons i have an electron my dad bought ages ago the one i bought years ago i sold but they are a really nice machine i love the look of them for now modding my bbc b and master 128 are the priority my master and bbc b are the two machines i have had from my teen years the master 128k was £10 at a car boot and the b was given to me by my dads mate on the understanding i never sold it the b was bought by my dads mate and i doubt my master 128k was a school machine either as no econet fitted and no markings like most ex school machines .
wow Paul, you got some real bargains there! Nicely done. If you do decide to mod your elk, let me know if you need a hand finding good contacts to buy peripherals from. Some are sometimes on ebay but at other times I've found it best to go direct to the source. BTw have you seen this site? abug.org.uk
