I told a dentist that my teeth felt much more sensitive/cavity ridden after a pregnancy. She almost shamed me telling me improper hygiene is the only thing that wears at the teeth. I felt so embarrassed I could never go back to that practice. Hearing this was helpful.

I have been massaging my gums for a week, waiting for the crest toothpaste & some items to arrive. I feel my teeth / gum situation is improving. I used to have to floss & interdental after each meal religiously, and I also use the metal tools to scrape off the tartar which builds up after meals. I followed what the dentist told me, but recently my health has taken a toll & my gums started hurting and aching. I have moderate gum recession, after a decade of chronic inflammation & stress & lots of physical pain & injury.. so lucky to chance upon this YT channel and praying that may more people be healed.

I've been using Dr. Phillips's whole system for almost 5 months. I can't believe what a difference it's made. My teeth are whiter, shinier, cleaner looking, despite that I was religiously brushing with a Braun Oral B electric, flossing, using mouthwash, and a Water Pik previously. The changes started immediately. No more bad tasting mouth in the morning either. My teeth that were hurting because of hairline fractures in the enamel no longer hurt at all. (That took a couple months to resolve).
Zellies are the only thing I have to order online. A local Vitamin shop sells Dr. Plotkas toothbrushes, and the rest is at Walmart. So glad she's made it her mission to get all this great advice out there! Can't wait to go to the dentist with nothing for them to clean up, because that happened after just two weeks on this system! They were all standing around looking at my mouth in awe. You can bet they won't tell their patients about her system, because that would put them out of business!

@@zerotoleranceforsataniceli4794 It's special bc there's no other toothbrush like it, and it's far more effective than any other, including name brand electricals. The bristles aren't made of nylon. It's some other very durable material, and they're cut in a way that allows them to really get between the teeth. It feels a little prickly, but does a fantastic job. My (picky) daughter told me yesterday that she'll never use another kind of toothbrush. I agreed. My expensive Braun Oral B electric (which I'd saved, just in case) is going in the trash.

The Plotkas feels a little prickly when you brush, but I think that's what makes it work so well.

They also tested xylitol with pregnant women in the 1970s and were able to see that it reduced the plaque in their mouths by 98% - so they would be at no risk for cavities and no risk for gum disease. WHY is this information still not being given to pregnant women?

There’s a very smart and informed dentist here on TH-cam who talks about how alcohol-based mouthwash is and all mouthwash is really good for you. Even a specific phenomenon of people having their blood pressure increase while using mouthwash. I know that sounds crazy. The only mouthwash that you need to worry about is Chlorhexidine - which I have never recommended in 50 years.

Most are not clinical dentists or they would know that you can't define all mouthwashes as bad.
Alcohol is only bad if you leave it in your mouth last thing - and I don't recommend this.

Expose teeth to xylitol 3-5 times a day/6.5-10 grams a day in the form of mints, gum, granules, etc. She plays down xylitol's threat to dogs. It is LETHAL for dogs. I started a couple of weeks ago. Haven’t had serious problems with my teeth in my life, so I can’t say anything about pockets or gums. I’m trying this out because I’ve realised how ridiculously important teeth are for our overall health.
My teeth feel squeaky clean and I never feel that ”eroding” sensation you might have after eating something sour.
Granted, living in Scandinavia makes the products a bit less affordable (except Listerine which I can get from the local grocery store 300 metres from the house!) but I’m hoping that increased demand for these products might help lower the prices on Amazon after a couple of years.

In 2010, three years into menopause (age 53) my mouth became very sore because the bad bacteria really got going. I ended up using baking soda which stopped it but ended up with severe gum recession and my teeth moved apart. I assumed that was from the infection but maybe the baking soda contributed. But I am grateful for the baking soda because I think I might have lost my teeth without it. All dentists are able to offer is surgery. Turned out that my hygienist knew about baking soda (she was trained in the Keyes Method) but never mentioned it. It's not perfect but it's better than losing teeth. I followed Mama Gums's protocol for the last 14 years.
I started on Dr. Ellie's program this January and my teeth and gums are already improving. I dumped the water pik, the baking soda, Therasol and no longer floss (I don't miss any of that!). It looks to me that my 2 front teeth are moving back together and a black triangle is starting to close. Xylitol does bother my digestion a bit, so I try to not take more than 6 grams/day.

Your stomach issues are caused by the xylitol, because its a sugar alcohol and many folk (woman specifically) don't tolerate these sugar alcohols (manitol, sorbitol, naturally occurring in stone fruit - think prunes, etc, etc.). So, xylitol comes w/ a trade-off -- digestive issues. Best wishes.

Apparently Listerine cool mint has been known to cause staining, and an ingredient in Colgate floriguard called cetylpyridinium chloride, has been known to stain teeth. I’ve looked at the reviews for these mouthwashes and have found no one complaining about staining. Maybe I’ve been unlucky and it happens rarely or I’m doing something wrong. Even a couple minutes after eating oh is around 8. I have a few cavities from quite a few years ago when I went through a stressful time in my life. But other than that, I rarely go to the dentist and when I do, I do not have cavities. I didn’t check my pH during those times as I didn’t know it was an issue. But after having three kids and not having been to the dentist in eight years, I went to the dentist and he was amazed that I had no cavities as I didn’t floss or brush my teeth religiously. He said I was not a poster child for why people should go to the dentist. I always wondered if being a mouth breather or not might have something to do with the pH.

I use a natural toothpaste with oregono oil in it among other resins and clays. I have tried to use coconut oil pulling to remineralize my teeth. Closys and Crest do not contain mint, and ACT also comes in the Dr. Ellie-approved varieties of cinnamon and bubble gum, which do not have mint. Xylitol comes in other non-mint flavors of mints/gum, or you can get 100% xylitol granules/crystals with no flavoring. Before I ordered Zellies, I found Pur gum at my local Walgreens. It has xylitol as the only sweetener. You can also buy powdered xylitol from the vitamin stores.

I bought PUR chewing gum and it has 66% of xylitol. Then I saw on the package that it has glycerol in it. Was disappointed cause Dr Ellie doesn't recommend glycerol/glycerin in xylitol

Does your recommendation to not use night guards also apply to people who have bruxism to keep their teeth from wearing down? If not, what do you suggest besides the night guards? I can't stand anything in my mouth at night but I don't want to lose my teeth in a few years.

I have been asking my Dentist what was causing my teeth to be mottled with white patches and when asked if I had a dry mouth, my reply was it was chronic. When I asked if my medications were responsible, I was told no. Finally my Dr referred me to our University Dental Clinic, meaning fourth year students work on the patients with supervisors from their lecturing Dentists. Frankly it was the best thing for me. I was finally getting the help I needed and some restorative work needed.
My previous Dentist was always filling my teeth, it was costing me a fortune and seemed like a complete waste of money as no sooner I had a filling I would need even more work.
The University Supervisor not only told me what was wrong but proved me right by showing me the true condition of my teeth. Previous filings were being done on top of my rotting interior teeth. Proving my Commercial Dentist was doing nothing to help me but taking my money.
Being 70, on Prolia injections for over 10 years with 24 year old bilateral total knee replacements. I had also been told when my knees were replaced, that my bones were twice my age.

Prolia will ruin your teeth. There are plenty of cases where even healthy teeth just break up and fall out. I know four people on Prolia (myself included), and two have lost all their teeth. One lost one tooth, and will likely lose more (she is going off the drug now). The fourth is myself. I developed fractures in my enamel after the second dose. Ended up getting a crown in one, which failed, and then a root canal, which also failed. At that point I refused further treatment, despite that that tooth was pretty uncomfortable. It's settled down significantly since starting Ellie's whole system. I can eat on that side again, and pretty much don't notice it anymore. The other three hurting teeth don't hurt at all anymore. Wish I'd found this system before getting the initial crown.
BTW, I'm going off of Prolia also. It's a bad drug! All bone turnover is suppressed, so you get a build-up of old bone in there, which puts you at risk for atypical femur fractures and jaw necrosis. Those things seem to be more common than they admit. Going off is scary though. Usually takes other drugs, at least temporarily, to counteract the inevitable rebound, and it takes a good, supportive plan for bone health going forward. See Doug Lucas from Optimal Bone Health on TH-cam. He has many great videos, modules, a workbook, and an e-book.

@@Indydi I can't thank you enough for responding. Until now the commercial Dentist has been implying it's something I have been doing wrong. Since starting at our University Dental School Clinic they have been so good, they have restored myself esteem, treating me like a normal person once again and they are doing their best to help me. I have been on a waiting list at the hospital for 6 months even though when first referred by the University Dental School Clinic last September they responded I was Category 2 meaning a 90 day wait.
The University Dentist upgraded my referral that says all except my 6 bottom middle teeth, need removing now. Using the latest in x-ray technology, has proven the inside or centre of every tooth is rotten making any further work pointless and a waste of time and money if I had still been with the commercial Dentist. The hospital on receipt of my updated referral, they attempted to put me to the bottom of the waiting list. I finally got my waiting time restored to the initial referral. After doing further searching, it could take up to two years even as a 90 day Cat 2 referral, the system is so far behind the number requiring assistance. I would never have found out about the latest condition of my teeth from them and paying out hundreds monthly.
The University Dental Supervisors have told me that when anything further happens I am to go straight to them and have the problem treated that day, including any extraction of up to 3 teeth at a time. That is a huge relief for me.
As for the Prolia, my last injection was 12 months ago, so I am not going back on to it, even though my Dr is fretting about the delay. I have been on a Calcium supplement since using Prolia. I am now including vitamin D3 and K2 and now have the top level of D3 that's recommended, 126nmol/L. The recommended daily dose is only 40/50 iu daily dose. I take 5,000iu daily. I have been following vitamin D3 research since the beginning of 2020. I also use zinc that helps absorption of the D3 into my respiratory system, as well as the Dr's recommendation of B12 and Iron. In the past year I also started taking magnesium and A 5000. I have blood tests regularly.
Not going back in Prolia will be a major disagreement with my Dr. She hates when I challenge anything she wants me to take, i.e the 2021 jabs. My other consideration is that I have had both knee replacements done 24 years ago and they need revision. On top of that I am now 70, 71 in July. Your information means I have a lot of research to do. It's strange but prior to 2020, most of us accepted what our Drs told us to do, or recommended. We wouldn't have ever dreamed of researching it ourselves. Now I will take nothing without doing my own due diligence. I no longer have my annual Flu Vax, have just recently refused the Shingrix vax and the 2021 protocol. I will never have another vaccine as they are feverishly transferring vaccines to an mRNA delivery system. It's becoming known that everything about vaccines has been lies regarding efficacy and testing. The latest recommendation is not to have C*19 combined with the Flu shot as it increases the odds of strokes happening. Again thank you so much for replying.

I’m a Dental Hygienist. Frankly, I always questioned the oral PH issue. Our skin and vagina is supposed to be more acidic than neutral. This is protective. Seeing as the mouth mucus membrane is similar to the vaginal membrane, wouldn’t it make sense that it needs to be more acidic than basic?

I wish I knew this years ago. I had two more teeth extracted my 9th & 10th teeth!!! A week ago. We are out of country and I went to a biological/holistic dentist...but I wonder How can I learn to trust dentists and know what they are telling me is true. I had a toothache in an area where I had a 3 teeth bridge....lower left. They told me 2 teeth were infected and they needed to come out. This happened right after a night I couldn't sleep because I witnessed my neighbor being taken away in an ambulence. I was getting ready for a brunch with 10 people and I worked the whole night preparing because I was so worried I couldn't sleep. I didn't go to bed until 48 hours later. The following morning I went to a fitness class and yoga. (I am 74 years old) In the afternoon the toothache began. I truly believe I was run down and the tooth ache began for that reason. When I figured out where I could go to a biological dentist when I arrived they took x-ray....followed by being told I have 2 bad infections that needed to come out. They showed me the x-rays and said due to the dark areas around the root that was indicating bad infection. The areas were slightly gray but not really dark. What can I do? I have to trust that the dentist is telling me the truth vs. doing a sales job on me to earn $3800. for 2 extractions. The assistant did the UPSELLING. Vit C IV $175. and laughing gas $500. I said yes to laughting gas since I didn't think they would do any freezing then. No they told me the laughing gas would keep me mellow not to feel the needles. I agreed to the Vit C IV since I had forgotten to take my Vit C in the last couple of days but before that I was very regular taking 2,000 IU a day split a.m. and p.m. THe IV didn't work well it was my first ever so I asked her to remove it. She said it was OK to remove since all the Vit C was already administered at the beginning. (I thought that must have been misinfo) why would you do a Vit C IV to drip it into the body if all the Vitamin C was administered at the beginning. For this reason she would not give me a $175 credit. She said I got all the Vit c in the 3 minutes or so the IV was in my arm.
They told me the laughing gas wouldn't put me out but it did. I knew when the needles were administered but nothing else until I heard assistant say am administering the oxygen.
I don't even know if those teeth really had to be extracted since when I took Oil of Oregano, and anti-inflammatory Wobenzym+ and took Post Surgery homopathic pellets the pain would subside. How can we trust dentists or doctors when all they are after are profits? I want to learn how to maintain healthy teeth myself and never step into a dental office again. I have 3 implants costing $10K, I have a denture in my upper left and right teeth now I won't pay for ceramic implants....I will only get a denture. Are all dentists crooked and criminals....and only out to make a buck? I have a feeling my teeth were fine and just crying out for me to get some really good night sleeps. Does anyone else feel they have suffered from extractions needlessly since maybe the extractions weren't needed. Everytime I have extractions I have patient remorse....and I felt a premination I didn't have to loose those teeth. I think I've been told lies all these years. I have to sit down for about a week and watch all Ellie Phillips youtubes. I've only just discovered them now....and will likely have a lot of remorse for all my extracted teeth. Then I read that loss of teeth causes dementia and I have trouble remembering things. More lies the medical profession is telling us. What causes dementia really? Is it tooth lose or Diabetes 3 insulin resistance of the brain? Or a number of things? Gosh I wish I could learn everything about everything so I wouldn't have all this doubt and remorse about pulled teeth. And not to mention paying a fortune for extractions I most likely don't need.
