    I got caries on two of my upper front teeth just below the gum line. I started using Dr. Phillips' complete mouthcare system about 3.5 months ago. While visibly the caries has not disappeared, it seems like it got smaller but darker, just like a scab doctor described, but the affected teeth feel like healthy teeth now - no pain or sensitivity of any kind. I also made a small modification to the doctor's complete mouthcare system, instead of using just the Crest Anticavity toothpaste twice a day, I use it once, and the other time I use two toothpastes together - Paradontax and Dr. Glow with hydroxyapatite to accelerate remineralization. That system seems to work much better. I also switched to a no-carbs or sugars diet, and this also seems to help oral health (and not only!) a lot. My gum health has improved drastically. No bleeding of any kind, no pain, no pockets. I will continue using Dr. Phillips' system in the future. Wish I knew about it 20 years ago!

    Been using Zylitol twice daily. Just put a bit of dry Xylo Sweet in my mouth, let it dissolve, and swish it about for about 3-5 minutes before spitting it out (and do not rinse after). Makes a big difference in my oral health all the way around. Bonus: It's kind of like having a desert, taste-wise - the alternative to the after dinner mint. Edit: Before, I had been "in need" of a root canal for an upper eye tooth - the long canine tooth. Now? No problem. Also, making sure I get sufficient minerals through diet and/or supplementation. -- I do still floss GENTLY, simply because I can and do get "wedgies" of foodstuff that the brush will not pull out.

      @@a.2102 I use pure birch xylitol crystals (look like loose sugar crystals) the same way as OP. It’s better for me because I don’t tolerate flavorings and many additives. Plus, I like being able to use more than the size of a mint. I pour the bag into a lidded container with a spoon inside. I spoon the amount into my mouth over a sink to catch any spillage. I definitely move the crystals around differently than I would a mint and it is more like oil pulling in that way, or using a mouth rinse. I use the Morning Pep brand.

    • @onedominant
      @onedominant 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@a.2102 I got the Spry xylitol mints, which are great for portability, but they do have other ingredients, plus you are ingesting all of the xylitol they contain (which can lead to extra trips to the bathroom, especially if not used to the stuff). So, for very little more, I got a whopping 3 lb. bag of Zylo Sweet (made by Xlear), which is 100% zylitol and nothing else. It's not really a powder; it rather has the consistency of that turbinado sugar - granulated. I spoon out a similar small portion as might amount to one of those mints or a little more. And, yes, I let it melt in the mouth (takes no time at all) and swish it like doing oil pulling but for 3-5 minutes (all you need, really). It gets the whole mouth exposed, whereas a mint, even tossed about has a limited range. Then, I can spit it out, ingesting very little. After, I try to allow about half an hour before eating or drinking anything else, just letting the fine coating "sit" for while and "do its thing", like a deep treatment. This 3 lb. bag will probably last me a year, easy. I still have the mints, but when they're gone, I may just fill the empty bottle with the Zylo Sweet and find a tiny "spoon" to pop off in there, something I can toss in a purse to carry or in a desk drawer at the office. It's cheaper than the mints but just as portable.

      I think flossing is ok as long as you don't hit the gums. I just floss until I get past the point where the two teeth make contact. I don't go any deeper than that. You can also push out food stuck in the gaps of your teeth. However don't go down deep. You may introduce bacteria into your gums. That's just my opinion. Think about it. Flossing is not a natural thing to do.

    Dr. Ellie, with a profound respect I thank you for your knowledge and wisdom.
    I started your system in June 2023. Earlier that year the dentist recommended to re-do root canal and put a crown on my tooth without a nerve. That tooth has been doing ok just with filling (in my mother county the protocol is different, and dentists do not put crowns on every tooth after the root canal treatment.) I did not come back to that dentist and started your system instead.
    This month I treated 2 cavities that had been bothering me for 4 years and I couldn't receive treatment due to pregnancy and breastfeeding (the dentists refused to perform x-ray, then refused to use local anesthesia because of breastfeeding). Other than that my teeth and gums are healthy (including that tooth with no nerve, no need to do a crown according to this dentist.)
    Also, to be honest I was skeptical that it's possible to reverse cavity, HOWEVER it's a pure miracle: your system healed cavity between my two upper molars! ❤ There was a discoloration and sensativity, food got stuck. Now that spot is completely restored and white 😮 The dental exam and x-ray confirmed that there is no cavity in the area.
    I am really grateful for everything you are doing for people's health and enlightenment ❤❤❤
    Thank you multiple times, Dr. Ellie!

      I'd be leery of that dentist. As a kid, I never saw a toothbrush, so the first thing that happened when I entered the military was that my cavities were ground out and fillings added. On a couple, I had much more filling than tooth. They were like hollowed-out tree stumps with the sides missing. During a time of war, able-bodied young men didn't get sent home because their teeth were "beyond filling." This was in the late 1960s. Only recently did a couple of fillings fail, so I had them replaced. With Dr. Ellie's system, I feel confident about my oral hygiene care for the first time.

    I went to the Dentist and I was told I had 4 cavities after skipping one of my 6 month visits. A year ago, I was told I had demineralization. I was not aware that this was reversible and I did not connect the dots why some of my habits could be causing this. I was comfortable, and heard about inflamed gums and plague and better flossing for years but not cavities. I do not want my teeth to be drilled and filled. I already have an amalgram filling from possibly 20 years ago. I am happy I discovered Dr. Ellie. I'm trying Xylitol, Closys, Listerine, and ADT flouride rinse in addition to better nutrition, less or no snacking (but faithfully with Xylitol) and watching pH lowering substances. It seems like a check progress over time strategy to reverse caries. Hopefully it is not a cavity. I have early caries as far as I can tell. The most concerning one was a dark black splotch down to the dentin visible on an x-ray. The hygenist said my teeth looked good aside from a few dark areas. I did not hear talk of gaping holes, nor did the dentist pick around my mouth themselves. This earlier video 3 months ago by Dr. Ellie also gives me hope: th-cam.com/video/4wlRM-YgRQ/w-d-xo.html . In the video, caries down to the Dentin can take as long as a year to recover. Hopefully I get somewhere. In the best case, I hope for no new fillings and dental education.

I also took Chinese herbs to stop the swelling in combination with ur complete mouthcare system. I have brain injuries and my teeth are mostly ruined by prolonged vomiting..

The more I get fillings, the more I see cavities form on the same tooth until now, I already have 5 teeth with root canals at 23, the more I go to the dentist, the deeper my cavities get. I ask my dentist about xylitol and she says it won’t be helpful, but when I try it I can feel how different my mouth feels and cleaner. I feel like the dentistry industry is just there to be unhelpful and take impossibly high cost for bad treatment. I’ve cried from pain on the dentists chair but he just carried on with his job. I came across Dr Ellie’s channel just this past week and wishing if I had come across this content a month ago. Feeling guilty of doing a filling in a premolar #13 just 3 weeks ago. I postponed this filling for 3 years, hoping it will heal/remineralize on its own with disciplined diet and routine brushing and flossing, but it didn’t improved significantly based on x-rays. Now I got the filling and there is no chance of natural healing regaining natural tooth. Being optimistic, I hope this filling could withstand a decade while on this oral care system and won’t create problems in future. I promised to my other pristine teeth that I won’t be doing harm to them.

    So I am 6-8 weeks in on this plan. Wow! A small amount of dark colored plaque on the gum line in the front of a front tooth is now gone. I had a lot of plaque behind my front teeth which is 60 percent less. I have a back tooth that the dentist said will be pulled eventually. It had a back deep cavity which now I can see my tooth so good portion of that is gone. I had very bad dark yellow staining around all my back teeth which is literally now white. All my teeth are very white now. Bad breath was gone the first week. I now wake up with a decently fresh mouth. I used to have a horrible mouth when I woke. I have been doing all the mouth washes and brushing and eating a bit too many mints. However, I have reduced my mint intake trying to eat them only after I eat or drink something. I find the cool mint ones to be the best. However I have not tried the cinnamon. I’m so grateful for this protocol. I have very deep pockets and am hoping those are being cleaned out as well. Also, in conclusion, I had pain when I would chew on one side and that was fine within a week or so. I used to get pain with cold and sweet which is also gone. I do avoid added sure most of the time and avoid artificial sugars all the time. Those mints are amazing!

      I had the same issue and learned that it was indeed the ACT flouride rinse causing it.

    • @SunrayStar
      @SunrayStar 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      So many people float this thought around of ACT causing staining after they start the complete mouth care system, but Dr. Ellie says the following:
      “ 'Good stains' are seen on teeth when dental disease has been rapidly controlled, when the remnants of thick plaque and harmful bacteria die off quickly. The debris collects around the tooth, often looking like a dark stain at the gum line. This stain is the sign of improved oral health, less bleeding, and a healthier mouth and gums. A dental cleaning will quickly remove this kind of staining and leave the healthier teeth pristine and white.
      If you do not have a cleaning within a couple of months of starting the complete system, the sudden improvement in your oral health may result in a thin band of stain forming around the edges of your teeth at the gum line. This staining is not a problem, is not permanent, and is not at all unhealthy. This stain is dead plaque debris that has shriveled up and formed a hair-like deposit around the edge of your teeth. One cleaning at the dentist will remove this band of debris.
      This staining is a common problem that I have to find a way to address:
      1. Are you using the Mouthwatchers brushes that I recommend? You must get away from fear of brushing too hard. It's not true and you will not do damage by brushing - you will get rid of these stains!
      2. Do you let your brushes dry for 24 hours between uses? Never soak them in anything or they will get too soft.
      3. Are you brushing this area of your mouth where you are seeing the stains? Aim at these areas first, when you have the most toothpaste on your brush, and before you do the gum massage, etc - this is almost always superficial debris that just takes a bit more work to remove.
      4. Are you using the system 2x daily? You will get staining if more plaque forms on teeth every 12 hours during the first months - before the oral bacteria have been balanced. In the future you may be able to skip a time or two - but not in the first months.
      5. Do you stop eating and drinking completely - not even water - after the xylitol at the end of meals? This allows the new healthy protective biofilm to form, and it is this biofilm that will stop your teeth from accumulation of this debris. You may also want to have a Zellies mint last thing at night before sleeping.
      6. This stain is not a health problem - just no one likes a dark stain. But it is superficial debris and will brush off; just use a bit more toothpaste and some more energy on these areas.
      7. IF this extra energy and toothpaste trick is NOT ENOUGH to get rid of the stain - then you are going to make a special paste for yourself - Exfoliating paste: Mix together half a teaspoon of granular xylitol with a big squeeze of the Crest Cavity Protection toothpaste. Use this exfoliating toothpaste mixture - aim at the stains first thing every morning (not during the system.…but as you get out of bed in the morning). Just target these stains with this mixture of xylitol crystals + toothpaste. In 3-4 days the staining should have disappeared completely. Then you do not need to keep using this mixture; you can go back to the normal paste as a part of the system.”

    dear Ellie, question from Belgium please : your recommendations are super! congrats and thankyou's, do you know when your system (or recommended products) will be available in Belgium? it's SO clear how true all your visions-experiences are. My dentist is good in 'drillings etc'... sigh... never had ANY information (like so many people here that follow your video's), and last visit i told her my gums, after FIVE years of misery & one filling after another & another 😢, if she heard about Xylitol? She was a bit O.o face and suddenly said 'oh we recommend that' (than it goes in 'we' never 'i' modus...), i gently replied 'i wonder why no one ever told me this... it's so so so sad... I need to go again & again, i hope the Xylitol & my gum massages & advices that i follow & also coconut oil pulling, will (eventually?) be helping. The gumpain is gone, the aft & swellings 90% gone, NOT thanks to my dentist : thanks to you tips that i follow up. Hopefully your system will be available all over the world🍀
    PS : she also 'had to' drill so deep that i ended up with 'nerve was open' : not covered anymore...so to surgeon for that (!) i 'lived' with that pain almost 1 and a half month (waiting lists), than losing one more tooth, it's really...

      @chrisnem1603 I'm in Belgium and I've ordered all her recommended ingredients from Amazon UK. It arrives in just a few days and the shipping was about 5e extra per item. I use Ultra Dex for step #1, the same Crest toothpaste she recommends as step #2, The Original Listerine for #3 (but the local Colruyt carries the Listerine Cool Mint) and lastly, the Breath Co. dentist formulated fresh breath oral rinse as step #4.
      I would also get a new dentist.

    I’ve been using your system to try to halt my caries. It is not on top of my tooth but on the side between the two teeth. I had a medium caries. And in 5 weeks it has gotten bigger. So I don’t think once it is in the dentin it works. I got an update cray and it is slightly bigger and I even have started getting pain there. I believe your system works for prevention and maybe caries on the enamel (size small caries), but once it’s in the dentin I don’t see how it helps especially when it is between the teeth because it is so hard to make enough contact.

    Can you please do a video on how to avoid digestive issues when consuming xylitol? I've been using your system for a few weeks now and I love it, but I keep getting diarrhea with the xylitol. What can be done to avoid that? I notice my mouth feels cleaner after using it so I really want to find a way to make it work.

    Also, I am curious why you recommend products that have sorbitol, when you stress that gum/mints should be 100% xylitol. Honestly want to understand and reverse a cavity starting on a tooth!

    • @SunrayStar
      @SunrayStar 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I'm just curious, did you know that Dr. Ellie recommends that when one has bleeding gums, that the thing to do is to focus on those areas and brush/massage the gums with your toothbrush while brushing with even more pressure, and spend even longer on those areas? If you did know that, did you already try that? The massaging stimulates the lymphatic system to bring in more healing nutrients to those bleeding areas needing help, and also carries away toxins.

    • @BelAge

      @@SunrayStar Hi, I actually started following the recommendations in your post and I already see a difference. I use my fingerpads to massage my gums though instead of the toothbrush. • @SunrayStar
      @SunrayStar 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BelAge That's great!! But go ahead and give a try to doing it with the toothbrush, and you'll likely see even more improvement, because the more the gum is stimulated, the more it heals. You aren't using a soft toothbrush, are you? That's the other thing - it needs to be a medium-firm toothbrush with dense bristles, like Dr. Plotka's Mouthwatchers toothbrushes.

    Hello Dr. Phillips, I have been using your Complete Mouth Care System for two weeks. Several of my teeth were quite sensitive before I started with the system. Now my teeth sensitivity has disappeared almost completely. The only thing that troubles me is that every morning I wake up with my teeth and gums covered by thick whitish mucus (no yeast infection). It had never happened to me before starting the system. Is this normal?

    Question: Can you please make a video, "reacting to," or whatever, regarding "3mix-MP Lesion Sterilization and Tissue Repair" (LSTR) which, as I understand it's use in Japan (it spread from there), goes by the premise that antibiotics, when propylene glycol is used as a carrier, can penetrate the entire tooth capsule, thus allowing regrowth of dentin. I further understand from cursory reading that new dentin growth will not be as ordered (it'll be chaotic?).
    I know there's a danger to the gut biome if antibiotics are ingested, so, I'm wondering if a silicone mold of the teeth could keep the paste against the teeth for short periods of time followed by a thorough rinse and then xylitol
    I'm also curious about your reaction to studies showing efficacy of sorbitol and erythritol in reducing tartar and caries.
    I'm just a 60 year old American with some tooth decay, mostly where crowns & root canals had been done and I don't want any more teeth killed. I seem to have formed an aversion to dentists since learning about LSTR. I am eating a plant based diet, supplementing with D, K, calcium, magnesium & using xylitol/sorbitol gum after drinks or food.
    Thank you, again, for your content!
