- Goal is to get more cameras for 2023 and possibly a laptop so i dont have to edit videos on my phone. possibly another bike as well, but what?
Had the following so far:
2012 kawasaki vulcan classic
2004 Suzuki vstrom 650
BMW F800 gt...favorite so far
F800 GT with Rotax engine was masterpiece. 213kg wet weight and max torque at 5800rpm + belt and ESA. Far better than VFR 800 and any other bike in the class.
Only thing for me was the fuel gauge read full till half a tank and quickly you would be down to 1 bar. I know at least they can go 50 miles with the gas light on. 🤣 nice bike besides that.
Really nice all round bike...even by today's standard's....Shame on BMW for discontinuing..
!!!! Did I just test ride that exact bike? A 2014 with that same windscreen and set-back bar riser with a RAM camera mount....LOL. Anywho, enjoyed the test ride. It has heated grips, electronic suspension select and all the luggage. Only thing is I still love my Royal Enfield INT650 and actually may prefer its engines tone and smoothness, and "feel" (clutch to motor friction zone relationship and throttle input. Oh, did I mention I love Royal Enfields 650..........unreal smooth! I did feel the advantage of the F800GTs fairing and screen at 70mph, and do like the bike a ton. It has only around 10,500 and my 2022 INT650 has 14,500! They just for some dumb reason don't make sport tourers like this currently. Under 500 pound bikes with side and top cases are all kinda ugly ADV styled afterthoughts. I may have to grab this one because there isn't anything else like it at the used price.
Oh, I have seen mention of Honda bringing back the VFR Interceptor? That would be waaay outside my frugal means.
Great bike (I know it well), and nice sound. I enjoyed your brief ride.
Glad you enjoyed it

What handlebar risers do you have on your motorcycle? Did you had to change any cables or just re-route them?
Rox risers, however the previous owner had them installed. Thus I can't speak to the height. Sorry about that
2 questions. What is that windscreen and what is your height? I have the same bike but it has a aftermarket windscreen that is very short. I am looking for a good touring screen.
Madstad windscreen system and windscreen. I'm 5'9".
@touriston2wheels thanks for the quick reply. Do you have the 22 or 24 inch windscreen?
It came with the bike when I purchased it so dont know for sure. The adjustable windscreen was nice for sure. Traded it in on my ktm or I would measure it.
