I have the 3.5's. They are good but lack bass response. Pretty flat though, which is really what you want out of monitors. I run through a Scarlett solo v3 to PC.
I originally ordered the Jamo 801 PMs. I didn't like the sound and ordered the Eris 4.5 as well. I A/B compared them side by side and omg! Presonus is so much better in every way. Wider range, clearer... Jamo sounded like the sound is coming out of a weak cardboard box. I returned the Jamos of course.

Hi, thanks for the great video. I’ve seen a few comments here about this white noise coming from the tweeters… you have replied saying you don’t have it but since you’re using an audio interface with balanced connection, I’m wondering if you could try these speakers with an unbalanced connection with the RCA cables and see if you get this white noise hiss… thank you!
It sounds that we do not need further Sub box? I thought it would need a Eris Sub 8BT like HS5 HS7 would need, but according to this video, it seems that an extra sub will be too much for the bass, isn't it? And what about hiss/noise? I heard that Presonic monitors have too loud hiss, do they? Thanks.
Haven’t tried presonus. Have been eying these or kali lp-6 lately. Right now I am using the blackstar fly 3 and it little extension cab as my speakers. They sound pretty good for a tiny footprint, but wondering if the step up in sound would be worth it both price and size - I have a small desk.
There's a little white noise coming from both the tweeters even though there's no TRS cables connected and the volume knob is turned to zero... Is this thing common ?
@ApproxExtra I’m wondering what happened to your white noise coming from your Presonus E4.5… did you ever sorted it? I have the same problem straight out of the box… was wondering if it happens only when unbalanced connection is being used… ie not TRS balanced… any thoughts would be appreciated…
I have a PreSonus StudioLive AR12. I really Like it ! You can plug a few Mics up for Amps and blend them. And You can do Vocal Mics Too. Would You or Landon recommend the 6in speaker for a little bigger room ?
@@landonbaileytech Thank you for your answer man, I am trying to upgrade my listening experience, and I keep watching this videos about having to buy an external DAC for improving sound quality for computer music. I think they are refering to your red device.
Just got my brand new Eris E4.5 BT. The sound is great, but it hisses even without the source connected. The noise can be heard even from 1-2 meters away. On the forums they say that the problem is in the internal amplifier. I'm thinking of returning them back, very disappointed. Does yours have this problem?
Hi mate,,was thinking of buying this speaker but for gaming and listening to music,,it would sound better even without using interface and plug it directly on my pc using the rca cable?thanks

Just received these for Xmas. Woohoo. Q: Stereo Speaker cables (L & R) connection from E4.5 to audio interface? Or ok to use normal guitar cables? Happy Xmas & new year to you. 🤘
RCA cables are your basic wire connection. I'd say it's useful if you're not using an audio interface because it allows you to connect them directly to the sound card of your computer. Balanced TRS is a superior connection though. If you have TRS out on your audio interface, use balanced TRS cables and you will avoid any electronic interference that might come from your computer, power adapters, other cables... If you use mono TRS cables it's still a better connection as TRS cables are generally better shielded than RCA cables. But if you use stereo TRS cables per each speaker, it uses the second channel in stereo to cancel out any electronic interference. That's what makes them balanced.

I just got the 3.5's for my small home studio and a M audio solo interface, can't wait to try them!
Have fun!

does the left and right matter? If so, the left is my left (me facing my computer)?
I don't understand your question :)

Has anyone tried these as TV speakers? Can't decide between a budget powered speaker or a sound bar at that price range.
I guess not!
So if I used quarter inch cables into my mixer board which is connected to my pc through usb will these work??
I believe so. My Scarlett 2i2 is essentially a dumbed down mixer.
does anybody know where I can get those really thin red a black wires? I lost them. I'd rly rly appreciate it
they are pretty standard speaker wire. you can get that a lot of places

Im not an audiphile, Im interested in these speakers, what is the red machine for? Do I need it for the speakers?
it's an audio interface to my Mac called a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. You don't need it, but it's one way of connecting to a computer

Is the headphone output on the front of Presonus also an headphone amp? That is, can it run high impedance headphone? Thanks

I've plugged in my guitar direct into my Focusrite 2i2 and then into an Eventide H9 and it sounds good
would you say this is also good for guitar practice/recording and using it with amp sims like Amplitube or Bias FX?

Can I just use the trs connnection into my interface and will it work or do I have to connect that red wire too
