Loved everything about this video man! Thanks for picking up the rubbish around our beautiful city! 🙏
And yes.... we definitely need that kayak video! 😁
Thanks for watching! It’s a shame soo many people walk past the rubbish and won’t even look twice at it. It’s soo simple to just pick it up, especially when there’s a few bins about. When I’m back on the kayak I’ll definitely be doing some interesting adventures! Stay tuned 😉
There could be a bin right next to them and they'd still leave it on the ground 😅 and I most definitely will stay tuned!
I’d say Melbourne is the best city being a Melbournian. However Melbourne sucks for fishing 😂
As for the security, we have places in Melbourne too that say that. Fisheries didn’t put them up. Just locals from yacht club to deter bait fisherman. Us lure fisherman mostly catch and release too so not to worry!
If Melbourne sucks for fishing, what is it good for then? 😂. There’s always someone out there trying to ruin our fun aye, especially in spots that have potential.
It’s nice to see a security guard being respectful, there’s only a handful of those in east Sydney 😆
Pretty rare hey 😅. Have you had many encounters yourself?
@ mostly when I fish on the OUTSIDE of marinas, it’s dude, you don’t own the whole Sydney harbour
Ive had a couple encounters myself fishing the outside of certain marinas with the kayak. I’ve even had a couple blokes tell me it’s a sanctuary zone 😵💫
@@TheFinesseAngler the ‘sanctuary’ zone is the worst excuse ever, you’ll get that speech at every marina on the Hawkesbury 😆
Haha it sounds a lot more common than what I thought.
Nice video Abz!
Thanks for watching!
Great video mate. I set for fishing the clammer tomorrow 🤙👍👌
Thanks Joe! Looking forward to seeing what you catch up
LAKK YA WAHESHHH!!! 🔥
Love ya Mick! Do I smell an incoming collab 😏
As soon as I saw the security guard and log seating I knew Mick would appear 😂
😂
@@TheFinesseAngleri smell this… 👌🏼 lets do it bro!!
@@ynots0625hahahaahahah
Good to see you picking up the litter, there's a lot of fishos in those parts, that just throw there shit everywhere. It's probably why they police that area with security.
Only takes one or two fishos chucking litter to stuff it up for everyone.
Although I suffer a lot bending down to pick up anything due to my back injury, I can never just leave it laying around. It’s a shame to see and if we all do our part, we can make a big impact.
Wow, thats one expensive combo. Looks amazing you should post videos under the bridge its a very good spot if fished there a handfull of times.
@@BraeHughes I’ve never fished under the bridge with lures. What species of fish do you catch there?
@@TheFinesseAngler kingfish, bonito, bream , snapper and bait fish
Best city for sure!
Nice work bro love your work
Thanks for watching mate 🙏
ABZ BRO awesome 👌 video MASHALLA I sceptical with that lure bro, but now I'm a believer that's GOLD
Will you be giving them a go?
@TheFinesseAngler yes I think so bro but have that many lures to try I've got slow 🐌 down with the lures I think and put them to the test, Inshallah in future will hit the marina with MUS babies tight lines bro 👍💯🎣
The Muss is definitely a big fish lure and a must have in anyone’s collection. Thanks for watching bro!
Good stuff, that area is good for kings but you need to get there mid week or early
I bumped into a bloke throwing lures for kings, was that you?
@@TheFinesseAngler nope. I've actually never fished there..
Your good bro🙌
Just out there enjoying myself man 🤙
@TheFinesseAngler seriously, I seen the video showing your prize money cheque. That's next level. Stay blessed 🙌
Hard work pays off! unfortunately I’ve injured my back and need a while to get back on the kayak. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it 🤝
@@TheFinesseAngler Judy got over back pain
It’s frustrating isn’t it
I use to manage Jones Bay Wharf opposite the Casino, Its a public wharf which means you can fish it. Some of the owners of the 140 suites on the Warf will tell you different, though just keep fishing as they cant tell you you cant fish.
Does that also apply to the stretch I fished next to the private marina and restaurant?
@@TheFinesseAngler If your talking on Jones Bay Wharf, the marinas are leased, as long as your not on the marina itself entering the gate your fine. The private wharf sort of opposite is different as they are private homes, not business suits. Though the Restaurant, Flying Fish is the biggest complainer though knows full well he has no say and people can fish the deep frontage in front of the restaurant. Just respect it and clean up when you leave.
@joemyers8289 Appreciate the info mate!
@@joemyers8289wrong, according to dpi in there leaflet they explain "Council, leased and private land is subject to its own regulation and management and is always advisable to check if fishing is permitted in that location".
@@Roofusone_ So your telling someone who managed that wharf for CBRE after it was developed by Multiplex, and was on the board as its strata that I'm incorrect.
All of them wharfs are on 100yr leases. Bylaws state, it is a public wharf and that we cant stop the fishing it was something that came up in my first board meeting. I've managed Bay Centre, JB Wharf & Google all in that area. So I'm actually correct. I also use to head up all of NSW Government property for SPA, State Property Authority, now LAPMA, Land & Property Management Authority and had monthly meeting with DPI among others. I know my shit after 36yrs in property.
most water zones in New South Wales are Crown land, which means they are not private property:
Tidal and non-tidal waterways: Most river, creek, and lake beds, estuaries, and beaches are Crown land.
Waterfront land: This includes the bed of any river, lake, or estuary, and the land within 40 meters of the highest bank of the river, the shore of the lake, or the mean high water mark of the estuary
I would not have left.
Does this also include private marinas?
I was on my way out anyway and as stated in the video there wasn’t any sign visible that stated that you’re not allowed to fish. I knew this with bass spots up some rural creeks but didn’t know the same rule applied when fishing in the city or even residential areas.
@@TheFinesseAngler I'm not sure about private marinas BUT definitely in this case where the guard asked you to move I would have called him out and stayed. No person owns any tidal area in all of Australia so...
Would love to see some more structure videos.
Will do 🫡. Do you fish Sydney harbour much?
@@TheFinesseAngler nah mate, I fish the flats in Perth.
I’d love to fish Perth one day! Do you guys get quality bream?
@@TheFinesseAnglerPretty sure there are some good fish in the upper swan.
wait thats not Melbourne? you cant go wrong with any good sunnies but for what its worth Ive had some Mako's for maybe 2 years now, side are a little bit wider to reduce light getting into the sides and its one of the best investments I've ever made. Wear them every day, wear them at work etc...
Only thing you can catch in Melbourne is a cold 😂. I used to own a pair of Mako GTs before my eyesight went bad and I absolutely loved them! I’m struggling to find a local shop that can do prescriptions in Mako’s. Which model Mako’s do you rock?
And he looks like a mini spanian bahahah😂 3:24
You really think I look like him? 😂
I would be very careful going under that sort of structure on the yak in the harbour.... those big ferry's through a huge wave when they zip past
Very good point there mate! That structure turns off into a bay, I’ll have to monitor it when a ferry goes by before attempting to go under.
Good man, picking up other people's rubbish.
Should be the standard 💯
@ I agree.
Lucky guy, because that particular spot on the wharf is illegal for fishing and fines apply if you get caught.
Really? Which wharf are you talking about?
The security guard is wrong ! Hes just doing what hes told to do ! Wouldn't know the laws ! You can fish there . 👌✔🎣
He stated that there were signs up however I didn’t see not one sign. Is there some sort of legislation somewhere? I’d love to screenshot for future reference.
@@TheFinesseAngler those signs hold no bearing ! Just to scare us . Unless it is by DPI or Fisheries , it's put up by locals to deter you . 👌✔👍🎣
@davidshaul5265 Thanks for the info David! Time to go do some more exploring 😎
@@TheFinesseAngler onya ol mate . Loved the clip too . And reckon ya were spot on about the plastics . Me thinks if you'd have used them , ya would have got them . 🤙✔️🎣 I've subscribed , so will keep in touch . 🤙
@davidshaul5265 Thanks mate! Looking forward to producing more quality content. Hopefully next time I hit that spot I’ll hit it either first light, that way I’ll give myself the best opportunity for a good bite window. Thanks for subscribing! Really appreciate it 🤝
new video!!!
Did you enjoy the vid?
This guy sounds like a mini spanian 😂
🤣
is it legal on Sydney to fish inside the pier between the boats?
Depends on the area. Some have signs saying no fishing and others have no signs but might get annoyed.
That guy did the same to me you can fish and there’s no signs anywhere even checked on google
Did you continue fishing after he approached you?
Melbourne is better 😊 have tried at all to fish melbourne ??
I’ve fished Port Phillip bay for snapper! What do you catch in the city though?
The worlds best city is Australia's worst city?
What’s the best city in Aus?
