the legend is back with another banger!! love seeing you record at spots i’ve seen or fished before hahaha (although i hate seeing you catch fish in places i didn’t) keep it up man!!
Most certainly enjoyed this. Over there you seem to have a higher chance when using soft plastics and lures in comparison to Adelaide's areas. Don't get me wrong, I've caught a few things, but not at the rate you do, especially fishing in metro or close to city areas. Also love how good the flathead are over there. Also in another note, bream over here have to be 30cm as legal 😯. 31 to be safe haha
brings back memories watching this video, walking iron cove before the fences flicking hardbodys for bream in the early 2000's, just hardbody the drains on hi tide, so many fish
@@ShroomFishing its better now then before, grab a kayak and sit in the iron cove bay above the weedbeeds with 3b cranks on hi tide. catch fish all day, unfortauntley we are going to lose alot of fishing spots, the wharfs will be first to go then pier one/two, councils already getting together for proposal
You're so spoilt having so many places to fish down in the big smoke. I'm heading down to the Northern Beaches on Monday for a few days from the Hunter Valley so hopefully i can get amongst them.
Shroom!! Awesome video as always but I have an awesome fresh water tale to tell... Recently me and Midgetjim went to a freshwater spot and we caught 3 eels!!
Hey Shroom, don't know if your Mullet in Australia are the same as the ones we get here in Scotland but ours love the colour red. Use tiny shrimp style lures around 1 inch in size fished almost static.
The ones here don't often hit lures Andrew but you would have seen a few odd catches in my videos over the years. Only a few sessions I found them hungry for lures and it makes for some of the most exciting fishing. I might give your suggestion a go however, could be onto something
In the 80s there no oysters. The water must be cleaner now brother in law worked at Homebush bay Olympic sight.Dude recycled heavy metals.I would get crook catching train near Concord.
Just my irrelevant two cents worth, but I reckon the Squidrex lure for light tackle inshore pretty useless. I fished this morning early up the Mid North Coast. Using my Daiwa Infeet Z 712 L.F.S with a little, very small Daiwa Double Clutch. All for a couple useless undersize Tailor. However, same area, generally speaking, mid last week, I got on a paddle tail,a 63cm Flattie. We put it back, me and mate decided just too cool a fish, to take her life. Leave for another angler, I reckon, when she’s got even bigger. Keep keepin on Shroom!!😊
No it's not irrelevant Justin, you're just saying what you believe in and there's nothing wrong with that! Excellent catch with that flatty and good on you for setting her free!
It's not quite as nice as the harbour Judha, but if the views don't matter too mucj, there's definitely a lot of potential for lure fishing especially!
Ahhh so good to watch your videos when i dont catch your tiktok live! Good video! Can you guess who I am? 😂 ill give you a hint. You recently have made me your mod finally after months 😂 ❤ Hope to catch you soon shroom!
Hello Amy good to see you here! Some very good clues there haha. I'm almost at 500 (it better be 500 only lol) to go live on the second account just to hang out and chill. Watching a video here however, supports the channel a lot ❤
Shroomi! Im In china rn and i got a new baitcaster! Its a major craft format 2-4kg L travel rod paired on a tsurinoya dark wolf ultra reel, casts like a dream!
Great vid, please do some more surface on the slippery dog! Question, have you ever had a treble come out of the split ring, happened today for me on a small flatty, I'm a bit confused..... hook didn't break, the split ring was half of when I reeled in, treble gone....
I got plenty of slippery dogs and a Bassday sugapen still Peter haha. Yes, not common but there's a small chance that can happen. It happens more frequently when people tie loop knots to split rings and they wind back in and the lures gone lol
Can't say I fancy them Tim but they are definitely a trend that's caught on in the last few years. I'll probably have to check some out at some stage I don't really count the Squidgie slick rigs that I've used before as one but they probably do fall into that category
Thanks Neville I knew I forgot something this video in my haste to get it out lol. I was supposed to fish this evening off the beach but too much seaweed and it cost me my jokes and memes lol
Just a segregation to add the rods and reels and line brand and the name of the came closer cream lol(lure scent) in the more section The best thing weekly to me is your video ❤

Love Thursday, I come home from work and there’s a shroom video
Yes that's the plan!
brings back memories watching this video, walking iron cove before the fences flicking hardbodys for bream in the early 2000's, just hardbody the drains on hi tide, so many fish
It used to be so good, almost guaranteed to catch on lures of all sorts and flicking hardbodies was so productive

Thanks Shroom, you you recommend keeping the split ring on a hard body diving bib or gtakng it off and doing a loop knot??
@@peter166 I keep it on because a normal non-loop terminal knot is always stronger
Can you come melbourne fish along the mornington peninsula teach us how its done ❤
Maybe one day!
do you do this full time?? love the vids man?
Yes and thanks a lot
Try the Crushcity in baitfish, best one out of the bunch. Catches everything.
Might have to check it out
Is that at rushcutters bay
Have you ever tried the big swim bait style plastics?

Those mullet are fussy i got one once on a watermelon zman Paddle haha went like a train 50something cm too.
Nice one Jorre, I haven't had a good session on the mullet in ages but the last one was at night and it stumped me what it was!
Facial hair shroom is just superior sorry! 😂

What Burley u using, Shroom?

USE THE slippery dog for sydney harbour its good for kings and salmon
I've got a few things ready for kings if I get lucky lol
Yeah, Rushcutters bay has been a bit lame lately Pete 😜
Haha, it looked alright Daz 😂
shroom you need to fish some more pristine waters!
I was about to tonight Jim! Off the northern beaches but the seaweed... 😩
I’m a bit late but what technique do u use for the squidtrex
Slow lift and a bit of winding seems to work for me best
thanks Shroom, u have really inspired me to do more lure fishing😊
Hi shroom, what would a Daiwa infeet cost?
Depends on the model, the cheapest one is around 200 roughly
@@ShroomFishing thank you for your reply.

2:56 taking the bream of this size is illegal in NSW.
So that's what he was doing, returning it lol
