Until 8/27/24 when I dedicated myself to workout with your videos. I workout to several different ones a few times a day, and I’m already breathing and moving better. Despite being 50, I love this music, too. I started working with seniors at the age of 19 and did a ton of sing-alongs so I am very familiar with music as far back as the 30's. I always enjoy it.
Every song had an amazing memory sparked! Thank you for listening to whomsoever requested songs from the 60's and thank you for playing only snippets so you could include more music. If I had a magic wand I would wave it to make this video an hour long!!!!! (Can you tell I L💗VED it?)
I wish I could make them longer but it is a bit shocking how long it takes just to make this 10 minute workout. My main concern is that the more songs I have in the workout, the higher chance a song will get blocked and I'll lose all the work I put into it.
@@ImprovedHealth Then you absolutely get EXTRA extra credit for meeting requests by compiling these songs. I had no idea about the blockage factor. Ten minutes is ten minutes more than zero minutes and each second was a blast to lots of our pasts. Thank you, Jules.

This was a fun workout from my younger (many) days. While the description didn't mention lower blood sugar which is my goal these days, mine went down 20 points. I had eaten a frozen pizza which had been in the freezer for some time and I thought I should get rid of it. My blood sugar shot up so I thought I would go work out with one of your videos. It dropped 20 points. So, if anyone wants to lower blood sugar, Jules is right exercise works! Thanks for helping us out, Jules.
All of the cardio workouts will help to lower your blood sugars...I just can't label them all with that title (might get a bit boring). Btw, I still have a note on my desk to share the info you sent me. I'll get to it when I have time:) Thanks again for that!
Even though I was born in 1967, I listen to a lot of old music, especially in the 60’s hippie era. I really love older songs like The Monkees, The Doors, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and so on. I really would like to see you do exercises off these music I just mentioned. By the way, I love how you work out to the older songs ❤❤❤❤❤!

Lyrics to songs seem to stick with us forever...that's the power of music. I've worked with older adults for many years and so many times I've seen people with dementia sing lyrics to sing-a-long songs, yet they can't remember other memories. Music is a wonderful thing:)

I really love the 60s workout and always do it when I don’t think I have much time ! I find that by the time I’m done I want to do more so I do the 70s workout. So glad that you ended up working out...it's best not to ask yourself if you want to work out...just do it. I don't think anyone has ever regretted a workout, but we definitely regret not working out.

My daughter and I are still working out 2hrs/day, 3 days/week at the fitness center--as motivated and prepared by one of your previous 60s music videos!! If it's too hot, we drive there, but on cooler days (like today) we walk there and back. Three months now and I haven't missed a day! I really notice the difference, and I'm losing weight, too. @@ChittarupaYoga Thank you very much for your encouragement. When I was younger (I am 70) I had to drag myself to fitness centers and could never stay with it. Now I just love going and don't want to miss a day. Partly, it's the fitness center and how it's so different from most. It's a local family-owned business and they don't have a circuit per se, but they have lots of equipment and great treadmills and bikes. We go there right after the lunch break and there are hardly any people there at that time, which makes it easy to make our own routines with no waiting. I'm addicted now, lol.
@@ChittarupaYoga I think ours would be considered small, too. It's in a building that used to be an average-sized grocery store. It's interesting how they have they have arranged their equipment, and they have something for everyone. I subscribed to your channel. The exercises you offer would be great add-ons to what I'm doing. I like the "how to get up off the floor" techniques. Several months ago, I actually injured my knee getting out of the bathtub. It took a long time to heal and still bothers me some.

I'm just retired (66yo uk based) and I had breast cancer at the start of the year, (successfully treated, just meds for next 5 years now ) and I got a bit lazy and moserable as I felt drained. But I realised I needed to get remotivated, found you and have been joining you every morning for around 4 months now. I followed Days 12 & 13 with a couple of your walks on the last 2 days. Loved the 60’s music! Today’s leg day had squats with glute squeezes of course, so I gave them 100% effort. No sciatic consequences! (Can’t know what is possible if you don’t challenge things.) That was clearly part of building the muscles correctly! I am seeing so many other little benefits other than strength and energy. Little pieces of me that I am bracing a bit for pain that would normally accompany a certain movement, and it isn’t happening. Now back to Christmas cooking. 🎅🏼🎄
I love reading about how you're getting stronger. So many people give up, but you take the time to figure it out and that's how you continue to get stronger. Kudos to you for that!
@ thanks. But you are guiding me in a safe way. After week 5 is done, I’ll be traveling to Europe and might lose a little, but plan to take bands with me. Then I’ll be working to get back up to snuff on return, and will be repeating a couple of weeks I think. I’ll be consulting you for best practice at that time. You sure know your stuff, especially with us Seniors.

Such nice workouts thank you. I must admit some of these songs are so so wonderful than being cut off so quickly would not be my choice. I’ll probably get used to it and maybe many people like it that way.
Thanks for your feedback. Often I go with the beat, and parts of the songs are either too slow or fast so I just try to make the videos flow for a cardio workout. It’s always a challenge.

That was a great workout. Loved the music and couldn't help but sing along. I actually did it twice and then did the stretches. Feeling much better this week. Get my scan results on Monday but been told there was nothing urgent on them so that's good. Thanks Jules. X

Love your workouts Jules. Have done a few and settled on 2 or 3 favoured ones for the time being. I'm just retired (66yo uk based) and I had breast cancer at the start of the year, (successfully treated, just meds for next 5 years now ) and I got a bit lazy and moserable as I felt drained. But I realised I needed to get remotivated, found you and have been joining you every morning for around 4 months now. It's paying off, not just physically but mentally, and I have great energy levels now. Thanks a million, you keep it simple yet varied and fun. Patricia

I followed Days 12 & 13 with a couple of your walks on the last 2 days. Loved the 60’s music! Today’s leg day had squats with glute squeezes of course, so I gave them 100% effort. No sciatic consequences! (Can’t know what is possible if you don’t challenge things.) That was clearly part of building the muscles correctly! I am seeing so many other little benefits other than strength and energy. Little pieces of me that I am bracing a bit for pain that would normally accompany a certain movement, and it isn’t happening. Now back to Christmas cooking. 🎅🏼🎄
I love reading about how you're getting stronger. So many people give up, but you take the time to figure it out and that's how you continue to get stronger. Kudos to you for that!
@ thanks. But you are guiding me in a safe way. After week 5 is done, I’ll be traveling to Europe and might lose a little, but plan to take bands with me. Then I’ll be working to get back up to snuff on return, and will be repeating a couple of weeks I think. I’ll be consulting you for best practice at that time. You sure know your stuff, especially with us Seniors.

Such nice workouts thank you. I must admit some of these songs are so so wonderful than being cut off so quickly would not be my choice. I’ll probably get used to it and maybe many people like it that way.
Thanks for your feedback. Often I go with the beat, and parts of the songs are either too slow or fast so I just try to make the videos flow for a cardio workout. It’s always a challenge.
