The judge's question "and they filmed it?" and asked with such disbelief & confusion, and to hear some of the things teens film now and still try to claim innocence, if he only knew.

That actor was one of my favorite recurring characters on Law & Order. But I believe he only appeared as an arraignment judge, not as a trial judge.

at 0.31, Sutter is confronted with a photo of his son. Sutter says that he doesn't know who it is. He clearly lies to the police and should have been charged with obstruction.

I don't know about everyone else, but for me the Logan and briscoe years were the best. Each episode was compelling, wonderful storytelling. Man I sure do miss these to guys. I'm glad Logan came back for criminal intent. For me early law and order is still the very best. I enjoy every season, but briscoe and Logan were the best. I think Jerry orbach not winning an Emmy for this show is a shame he deserved one.

He did win a posthumous Screen Actors Guild award - his wife accepted on his behalf - and the marquees on Broadway were dimmed in his honor the day after he died, as befits a legend of the stage. Also, a couple of years later, a portion of 53rd St was named after him.
can we acknowledge how well Monica Keena did as Corey Russell? She absolutely nailed the rebellious teen attitude until Van Buren started her tirade, and you could *see* Corey's expression slowly shift from smug to scared as she started realizing how much she done fucked up. She looks legitimately uncomfortable and anxious towards the end.
Van Buren in the interrogation room was awesome 😎😎😎
They were also guilty of illegal distribution of a video without the actors consent.

Ironically, that's why they got rid of Logan at end of Season 5. They were like two peas in a pod, and wanted some variation.

I am old enough to remember when a VCR was very expensive so much so it was better just to rent one and a group of friends would all chip in and then we had a weekend of watching vids.

It really gets me that parents who are rich dont really supervise what their child is doing..so that is why the child thinks he or she can do whatever they want and get away with it..cause "daddy will get me out"....parents no matter if rich or not..need to know what their children are up to ..keep notice of what they do..

Wait...so they are questioning him, which would have required them to read him his rights, then they arrested him and read him his rights again. Drives me crazy when shows have the police read people their rights as they are being handcuffed. No need to read someone their rights until you start asking them questions.
* also you have to read rights before formally questioning as an officer so it is admissible in court. If your rights aren’t read before being officially questioned it will not be accepted as evidence in 99% of cases.

Its been a while, but if memory serves, charging, much less conviction of a conspiracy crime requires, "action in furtherance of the conspiracy."
So you and, say three other friends are drinking beers and watching movies, discussing a hypothetical bank robbery. It doesn't become conspiracy to commit until a) everybody agrees the heist is a go, and b) starts taking actions "in the furtherance of the conspiracy".
If in that hypothetical bank robbery, two of the friends go out and make preparations to commit the robbery, the other two can't be charged with conspiracy, unless they directed the other members to further the conspiracy. "Go get the guns and ski masks."
As least that's my recollection. But I'm not a lawyer, and this should not be taken as legal advice.
