When I first watched these episodes with McCoy and Kincaid (seasons 5 and 6) I did not see anything that led me to believe they were having an affair. The writers have said it was happening though and it was eventually referred to in the Season 9 episode" Sideshow"... But now armed with the knowledge that they were indeed having an affair, you can see subtle hits in these episodes that they were more than just co-workers. The bar scene here is a good example. I dont remember him meeting any of his subsequent assistants at a bar in any other episodes after Claire's death. And the dialogue to me indicates that they were not just meeting to discuss the case.
Regardless, this was a great show. And I think the season 5-6 era were some of the best episodes. Brilliant writing and acting. TV for intelligent people.

Pretty sure the reason we never saw him meet any other ADAs in a bar after Claire’s death is due to the fact she was killed by a drunk driver. I also think her death likely changed his attitude overall regarding having affairs, the one with her likely being his last.

What I don't understand is why the charge of production of CP wasn't put onto the boys? If the girl involved was underage (which I'm assuming cause their in high school) then wouldn't any element of consent been pointless because it was guaranteed to be CP by that point? Wouldn't it be easier to then establish that by videoing and later selling those among other produced tapes, it was in essence a conspiracy for CP production or otherwise? I get that the boys ages would probably make it complicated, but insofar as I've always heard, at that point it depends on who's got the advantage or position of power that warrants the guilty party.

This case reminds me of the scandal back in "03 when I was still a 14 year old living in the Suburbs. Some boys all over the school were removed from class one by one all though out the day without so much as a "Why?" and were all sent to sit in the ISS room all the day as we past by hour after hour and wondered why they were all still in there. It didn't take long until everyone noticed that the all the boys that were removed from the classrooms were all from the same click of friends and that they were all being accused of SA.
To this day the victim(s) have never been revealed to the public, but back then we had our suspicions, due to certain individual never to be seen again in school along with those who suddenly became "home-schooled". Some of the boys ended up coming back to school, but the one who never did was said to have gotten sent to a detention center to serve time.
About 16 years later, having already forgotten about that scandal, until I ran into one of those boys in the city. I remembered that "He" was one of the boys that never returned to school. There I was talking to a registered SO(I looked it up), finally learning that it was him after over a decade.
