- 'Kate Meets Holocaust Survivors in Lake District'
The Duchess of Cambridge has met with two Holocaust survivors for a boat trip around the Lake District.
The so-called ‘Windermere Children’ came to the area in 1945 to recuperate from the horrors of Nazi Germany.
Kate listened to their stories as they took the scenic trip and then met with relatives of survivors, including TV judge Robert Rinder, at the Jetty Museum. Report by Daisy Busel.
The Duchess of Cambridge looks really humble and down to the earth to the People arounds her. Lovely

Here's something interesting to consider: Any World War 2 veteran still alive today would have to be at least 94 years old of they turned in 18 in 1945.

You’re right. My mother is 96 and just squeaked into the WRNS in 1944. My father seven years younger, spent a fair bit of time in Belgium and Holland as a Canadian (gunner).

Catherine is a truly generous, lovely soul. Her smile lights up the people around her and makes them feel special. And anything that's done outdoors, she's in her element. She's such a gem for the royal family 💞.

Its nice too see Kate talking to survivers of the holucost. I live in the U.S. in Indiana and where Eva Moses Kor lived and started her museum. I have been to it. I was not born yet but, it was an atrocity, and my heart goes out to all Who suffered.

It shouldn't but a past memory of Duchess Catherine comes to mind when I saw this. I think it was last year, she went to a public memorial honoring a woman who was killed on the streets of England. She didn't appear to have anyone with her, and like thousands she was standing for the stop of violence towards women by males. It was a famous case last year, and brought again the violence women and girls go through constantly in public streets, restraunants etc.
I thought then that she is a very very strong woman, and a brave one. The only royal to bother and stand against sexism.
So now we see her again, this time more people around her, more cameras, but still the reason she's there is not always popular with gentiles. She is standing in a quiet way for the Jews. I myself admire this because her stand for not PC or popular subjects makes her brave, unique and yes in a way gallant. I love the Queen, I love the royals and find their tireless work in good causes and people just incredible. Yet Duchess Catherine stands for those who few public figures stand for.therefore I stand along with her.

This is a lovely and peaceful film. I like the way Duchess Kate wore beautifully-fitting tweeds for the Lake District. She had a wonderful intimate cruise with the elderly ladies and gentlemen, and enjoyed an intimate visit with them. In this way, she honoured them, and they surely enjoyed their afternoon with her

There was something weird about this comment, it is her HUSBAND who is second in line to the throne -- Catherine is a polite and pretty dress up doll who happen to have rich parents with new money, and then got a prince to fall in love and marry her,,, and for a long while it was not certain that it would be so,, too many pictures in the press of an intoxicated young girl - noone was impressed---
