The Riddler is interesting choice for the main villain, he's not about action but more about mind games and strategy. And if his and Batman's "clash" will be shown mindblowing and amusing, I am sure this movie is gonna be amazing and probably one of the most unusual superhero movies we've ever seen.

This one had a much different pace. All the other trailers we very mysterious, quiet. This one was fast, vigorous, outgoing. This one gave us so much more details about the story than any of the other trailers. I heard that apparently in the test screening they said batman mostly talks to himself in internal monologue, but after watching this I’m not so sure. But I do love the semi-comical lines batman provides like “you got a lot of cats”. I get very BTAS vibes, ofc it’s darker but I can see those “genetics”. Again, this character is a blend of multiple iterations of batman! I just can’t wait to go to the theaters and unravel this story!!!!🦇🦇🦇

I feel like a lot of movie fight scenes seem too "choreographed". I'm really excited to see how Reeves' Batman will handle the fight scenes, I know we got some clips in trailers, but would love to see all of them in full in theaters
Don't get too excited about the score. They usually use it only for the trailers. Most likely, you will hear totally different music when you see the movie. I don't want to be a downer. It's just that I've already gone through major disappointments and I don't want you to get mad at the cinema.

Paul Dano's Riddler is jaw dropping. The cast for this movie was perfect in all aspects. It's been sooo long since I was this excited for a movie and it's so cool to witness the start of such a huge milestone in cinema.

Looks like they’re taking things a bit further with the dark, grimy, atmosphere that Nolan brought us with his trilogy. I’m digging it! Hope it delivers!
That's what I was thinking. It looks grittier and even "adult" compared to previous versions. Nolan did a good job but this seems to go even further; lots of rough edges, the way a city wracked by crime should look.
Personally I like all the different iterations we've gotten through the decades. The nice thing about Batman is the series is so versatile that a great storyteller like Nolan can make Batman in a different way than this one but it'll still be good. TBH I still think the animated series has been the best depiction to date.
I was just watching a movie. If Batman existed in real life, he would definitely behave like this. It is a totally realistic film, there is no excessive fantasy. The catwoman is a great choice for the actress, as is the rest of the team. Worth a look.

I need help with my Batman story. I want Catwoman to be older than Batman. In this story, they have a 15 year age gap and I don't know how old to make Batman. How old should he be? They said this would be the angry out of control version of Batman. He’s still finding his way of justice. But he’s also the detective we’ve been asking for. "We all have our scars, Bruce. You're still a Wayne" I don't know if this was spoken in the movie. But what Alfred said about this in my opinion is quite powerful. Meaning people throughout time get scars and it could affect ourselves like a whole system (even affect behavior, character, mindset, etc. that could be decline). And then when he said "you're still a Wayne", (stating his name) I get the meaning that no matter how scars tear Bruce apart, he should not let that change him into evil or destroy the kindness & compassion on his heart and his moral value & belief.

@@jasonsteves734 It seems to me like Riddler will be the one denying situations that normally end in justice, causing the people of Gotham to go mad, be angry and eventually get violent. The correct wording of the quote is "It can be poetic, cruel or blind. But when it's denied, it's your violence you may find." So to me that says he will be creating situations that deny the people of Gotham the justice they'd normally see in order to turn them violent. It's kind of like the how the Joker did things to cause complete chaos - Riddler is doing things to deny people the justice they normally see, to see how they react. At least that's what I gather.

I'm gonna say something that may sound odd, but...this movie feels like CINEMA. I don't know if that makes sense, but something about the cinematography, the acting, the music, the photography, this is a MOVIE, there's a director with a vision behind it, actors that are really embracing the role and conveying the mood. This feels like something you HAVE TO see in a movie theater, and I think there are very few movies nowadays that need to be watched on the big screen. I'm a MCU fan, I love the movies, the decade long build up and all the connections and easter eggs, but sometimes you feel like you watch a movie or a TV show only to be up to date with all the information and the single movie in itself has only the weight it has if it serves the whole big picture. I mentioned the MCU because of the superhero theme and because DC has messed up with precedent movies, but this doesn't feel like a "Batman" movie, it feels like a movie who tells a story in which Batman is the main character, if that makes sense.
Correct, this is a real movie. A true piece of art. I was just watching a documentary about how the Dolorean in Back to the Future was made, and they spoke about how they developed the entire film, and then how they invented the car. The creativity and genius and the level of art that was put into the Back of the Future movies is unprecedented. And that same level of creativity went into the 1989 Batman film with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. The heavy, dark vibe and the beautiful Batmobile of 1989. The level of creativity and art was missing was from the newer (but very good) Batman films. I always thought the 1989 Batman was the best one, because I think every aspect was perfect. It's not clear to me why all the future Batmobiles have looked tremndously ugly.

While he was fantastically casted and acted just like everyone else, I would easily Pattinson himself WAS the best part of the film as he was the BEST Batman I’ve seen in live action! So phenomenal in every way!

We all waited for this movie for 2 - 3 years and it didn't disappoint it was worth my time to sit in a movie theater for almost 3 hours watching this movie.
Robert Pattinsons acting is so good. You can see why Matt chose him. In Good Time we went on a journey with the character Robert played, not the actor, it didn't feel like a performance, we went on a journey with his character. I'd argue he disappeared into his character for The Lighthouse as well but the scene of him walking through the club with his eye shadow it was a glimpse of his ability to take us on a journey with his performance.
I have no issues with Pattinson as Batman I know some did….the twilight series of movies was years ago he’s proved himself to be a good actor since then
The Riddler has been my favorite Batman villain since I was a kid so to finally see him being treated with the respect he deserves is so cool. I've said it before and I'll say it again, The Riddler is the perfect villain for Batman. He plays perfectly to Batman's strengths as a detective and has fun doing it. The only reason more people don't recognize his superiority to the rest of Batman's rogues gallery is because to be able to write for The Riddler, you have to be as smart as him. A writer can only write characters as smart as they are.
Agree. Really, Batman has a couple of very compelling villains, but they're put to the side for the sake of propping up Joker, who's a little oversaturated at this point imo. Loving this version of Riddler already. Can't wait to see more of him when the movie is out.

This looks and feels amazing. Very reminiscent of "Year One" by Miller and Mazzuchelli. And no matter what people say, I have high hopes for Pattinson. He proved himself as a damn fine actor in "The Lighthouse".
This riddle game between Riddler and Batman I feel will be one of the coolest and most exciting parts in the movie! And judging by the trailers, the film feels as mysterious as possible, dark and cruel and quite mundane and I really love it. Batman has always been my favorite superhero. He's cool, but he's still a person who doesn't have superpowers. Of course I love superheroes with superpowers, but Batman has been my favorite since childhood.

The combat looks very computer animated and uncanny. And that's just from the short clips we've seen. Especially when he's fighting catwoman. I hope it's fixed in post production.
I haven't been this hyped for a movie in a LONG time Edit: Yes, No Way Home was great and ranks Top 5 for Superhero Movies for me, but I'm not that big of a Marvel fan.. hence, me being more excited for Batman :)
I have a feeling that Bruce is going to undergo a realisation that being Batman is not about vengeance, but justice, over the course of the movie. So hyped for this.
Two lines really stood out. The cop going, "he's involved in this? How do you know, he's a Vigilante" it's so convincing bc there's a hint of logical reason and question as to why they're working with him bc Batmans essentially a crazy man in a mask beating up criminals. And Riddler going, "Oh you're really not as smart as I thought you were" that's just so threatening, his disappointment that no one's as smart as him. Idk, but those two lines were just really great. Along with the entire trailer. I love the score and the beats as Penguin shoots the bulletproof Batmobile.
Don't forget the delivery of the riddle "It may be cruel, poetic or blind But when it's denied... It's your violence, you may find.. " Just near perfection

Based on Alfred's outfit and overall look in this movie, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wayne family's secret was the same as it was in Batman Earth One. This Alfred looks like he was taken right out of that comic series. Riddler was a serial killer in that storyline too.

Saw this movie last night and it delivered on all the hype! Not only do I believe Robert is the best to play Batman, but this is defiantly the best Batman film... period. You could feel the love and dedication from the entire cast and crew. The action, the way they built the characters, Bruce Wayne, the relationships between the cast, just left me in absolute awe. Can't wait to see more from this universe.

The cinematography, the tone, the music. Everything about it looks and feels like a masterpiece. If anything has the potential to top Nolan’s trilogy, it’s this.
The beauty of Nolan's TDK trilogy is that it was the first to translate superheroes for the modern world. Before Nolan's Batman Begins, all the superhero movies we got seemed to happen in pocket dimensions straight out of the comics. But Nolan brought us a Gotham and Batman anchored in the modern world. It was an intellectual upgrade I fxcking loved, and from that point on, superhero movies transformed into the tight executions of singular ideas that their comics were (and not simply empty showcases of superhero powers).
The Gothic theme is spot on. A much more disturbed batman with a lot of hate inside. Robert is truly an underrated actor who deserves much more respect. I am vengeance 🦇🦇🦇

The line "Come on Vengeance - let's get into some trouble" just hits different. Something about the delivery, the fact she calls him Vengeance almost sarcastically and the following shot of them storming through the club in citizen garb is all just so damn cool.
Yeah definitely. I didn't think I'd be this excited for yet another Batman reboot but something about this feels different. Good mix of the comics, games and Dark Knight Trilogy.

But with every passing trailer, I'm more and more convinced that this will be a great film. Early viewers claim this is the best Batman film since The Dark Knight, which is my favourite film of all time.
I'm so impressed and glad they cast Pattinson in this role. He is such a great actor. I have no doubt he will end up being another Deniro or Pacino. His range is truly incredible.

I have very slowly over the course of the last year, become very excited to see this. It was never the must see movie in my mind, but this drip feed of incredible cinematography and the fact that Batman will ACTUALLY be "The World's Greatest Detective" this time has me so hopeful to what comes next.

1:03 -1:10 the fight choreography of Batman vs catwoman is going to be one of the highlighting fight scenes of the movie. Feels so great for the cinematography will actually show the perfection of the combination of Batman’s strength and catwoman’s acrobatic fighting style. As classic of the fight scene Michael Keaton and Michelle pfeiffer from Batman returns will always be iconic, can’t wait to see Robert Pattinson and Zoe kravitz make the action much epic in a whole new level.
Sounds like it's going to have a great soundtrack too. A memorable and fitting score can elevate a great film to legendary status. I'm getting good feels off this.

Man, words can't describe how eagerly I am waiting for this movie. Pattinson's Batman voice is amazing "Selina, don't throw your life away". Dano's Riddler voice is amazing as well and the delivery of lines he provides. Also, SFX artists should get a raise for these punch noises, they sound powerful. It got me wondering... are those people in the end Riddler's goons? Looks like the end of the movie, where Bruce and Selina team up to take Riddler down once and for all.

This one had a much different pace. All the other trailers we very mysterious, quiet. This one was fast, vigorous, outgoing. This one gave us so much more details about the story than any of the other trailers. I heard that apparently in the test screening they said batman mostly talks to himself in internal monologue, but after watching this I’m not so sure. But I do love the semi-comical lines batman provides like “you got a lot of cats”. I get very BTAS vibes, ofc it’s darker but I can see those “genetics”. Again, this character is a blend of multiple iterations of batman! I just can’t wait to go to the theaters and unravel this story!!!!🦇🦇🦇

And he gave Bruce some flaws, which c is what makes this special. It focuses on batman not being “perfect” yet. Seriously good movie. I’m glad they made it like a mystery thriller and not just a beat ‘em up. Very gritty and dark, just like what the Batman should be.

Looks like they’re taking things a bit further with the dark, grimy, atmosphere that Nolan brought us with his trilogy. I’m digging it! Hope it delivers!
That's what I was thinking. It looks grittier and even "adult" compared to previous versions. Nolan did a good job but this seems to go even further; lots of rough edges, the way a city wracked by crime should look.
Also, similar to how they went a little darker with the joker character in the movie, Joker.
Personally I like all the different iterations we've gotten through the decades. The nice thing about Batman is the series is so versatile that a great storyteller like Nolan can make Batman in a different way than this one but it'll still be good. TBH I still think the animated series has been the best depiction to date.

I was just watching a movie. If Batman existed in real life, he would definitely behave like this. It is a totally realistic film, there is no excessive fantasy. The catwoman is a great choice for the actress, as is the rest of the team. Worth a look.

I don't know if this was spoken in the movie. But what Alfred said about this in my opinion is quite powerful. Meaning people throughout time get scars and it could affect ourselves like a whole system (even affect behavior, character, mindset, etc. that could be decline). And then when he said "you're still a Wayne", (stating his name) I get the meaning that no matter how scars tear Bruce apart, he should not let that change him into evil or destroy the kindness & compassion on his heart and his moral value & belief.

I'm gonna say something that may sound odd, but...this movie feels like CINEMA. I don't know if that makes sense, but something about the cinematography, the acting, the music, the photography, this is a MOVIE, there's a director with a vision behind it, actors that are really embracing the role and conveying the mood. This feels like something you HAVE TO see in a movie theater, and I think there are very few movies nowadays that need to be watched on the big screen. I'm a MCU fan, I love the movies, the decade long build up and all the connections and easter eggs, but sometimes you feel like you watch a movie or a TV show only to be up to date with all the information and the single movie in itself has only the weight it has if it serves the whole big picture. I mentioned the MCU because of the superhero theme and because DC has messed up with precedent movies, but this doesn't feel like a "Batman" movie, it feels like a movie who tells a story in which Batman is the main character, if that makes sense.

Correct, this is a real movie. A true piece of art. I was just watching a documentary about how the Dolorean in Back to the Future was made, and they spoke about how they developed the entire film, and then how they invented the car. The creativity and genius and the level of art that was put into the Back of the Future movies is unprecedented. And that same level of creativity went into the 1989 Batman film with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. The heavy, dark vibe and the beautiful Batmobile of 1989. The level of creativity and art was missing was from the newer (but very good) Batman films. I always thought the 1989 Batman was the best one, because I think every aspect was perfect. It's not clear to me why all the future Batmobiles have looked tremndously ugly.

While he was fantastically casted and acted just like everyone else, I would easily Pattinson himself WAS the best part of the film as he was the BEST Batman I’ve seen in live action! So phenomenal in every way!

Robert Pattinsons acting is so good. You can see why Matt chose him. In Good Time we went on a journey with the character Robert played, not the actor, it didn't feel like a performance, we went on a journey with his character. I'd argue he disappeared into his character for The Lighthouse as well but the scene of him walking through the club with his eye shadow it was a glimpse of his ability to take us on a journey with his performance.
I have no issues with Pattinson as Batman I know some did….the twilight series of movies was years ago he’s proved himself to be a good actor since then

The Riddler has been my favorite Batman villain since I was a kid so to finally see him being treated with the respect he deserves is so cool. I've said it before and I'll say it again, The Riddler is the perfect villain for Batman. He plays perfectly to Batman's strengths as a detective and has fun doing it. The only reason more people don't recognize his superiority to the rest of Batman's rogues gallery is because to be able to write for The Riddler, you have to be as smart as him. A writer can only write characters as smart as they are.

Best theater experience I’ve had in a LONG TIME. Such a dark and entertaining film, loved every second.
This looks and feels amazing. Very reminiscent of "Year One" by Miller and Mazzuchelli. And no matter what people say, I have high hopes for Pattinson. He proved himself as a damn fine actor in "The Lighthouse".

This riddle game between Riddler and Batman I feel will be one of the coolest and most exciting parts in the movie! And judging by the trailers, the film feels as mysterious as possible, dark and cruel and quite mundane and I really love it. Batman has always been my favorite superhero. He's cool, but he's still a person who doesn't have superpowers. Of course I love superheroes with superpowers, but Batman has been my favorite since childhood.

The combat looks very computer animated and uncanny. And that's just from the short clips we've seen. Especially when he's fighting catwoman. I hope it's fixed in post production.

I have a feeling that Bruce is going to undergo a realisation that being Batman is not about vengeance, but justice, over the course of the movie. So hyped for this.

This movie was way better than I thought it would be
Two lines really stood out.
The cop going, "he's involved in this? How do you know, he's a Vigilante" it's so convincing bc there's a hint of logical reason and question as to why they're working with him bc Batmans essentially a crazy man in a mask beating up criminals.
And Riddler going, "Oh you're really not as smart as I thought you were" that's just so threatening, his disappointment that no one's as smart as him.
Idk, but those two lines were just really great. Along with the entire trailer. I love the score and the beats as Penguin shoots the bulletproof Batmobile.
Don't forget the delivery of the riddle

This is THE kind of Batman film I’ve always wanted to see. I adore Nolan’s trilogy but to me it seems Matt Reeves is blending all these different versions of Batman, Gotham, etc. from over the years and got it right on the money to offer a fresh experience. Seriously hyped for this film

Based on Alfred's outfit and overall look in this movie, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wayne family's secret was the same as it was in Batman Earth One. This Alfred looks like he was taken right out of that comic series. Riddler was a serial killer in that storyline too.

Saw this movie today. It is absolutely perfect for our times. Will stand as one of the great DC movies. 3 hours goes by in seconds.
Saw this movie last night and it delivered on all the hype! Not only do I believe Robert is the best to play Batman, but this is defiantly the best Batman film... period. You could feel the love and dedication from the entire cast and crew. The action, the way they built the characters, Bruce Wayne, the relationships between the cast, just left me in absolute awe. Can't wait to see more from this universe.

The beauty of Nolan's TDK trilogy is that it was the first to translate superheroes for the modern world.
Before Nolan's Batman Begins, all the superhero movies we got seemed to happen in pocket dimensions straight out of the comics. But Nolan brought us a Gotham and Batman anchored in the modern world. It was an intellectual upgrade I fxcking loved, and from that point on, superhero movies transformed into the tight executions of singular ideas that their comics were (and not simply empty showcases of superhero powers).
Movie was good AF! I really cheated my self not seeing this on the big screen.
The final shot of the trailer, the action choreography, the smoke, the camera movement. Wow. This looks amazing.

The closes up shots of Batman in the Batmobile look soooo good. Damn, this movie just oozes a certain style and energy that we haven't seen in a Batman movie before. Friggin Matt Reeves made a beautiful movie. I can't wait for this to release. Man, this looks so good!

haha marvel are better than dc in every sense. Dc dont even care about whether if it even made sense or not as long as it looks awesome. But to critics it is silly, him look tall but 2inch noisy sole boots. look brave but stupid through the front door alwys, look rich but not vry smart with gadgets no night vision but using torch. And also his hearing is very poor lol. They made him look so smart with ridles but so stupid when the bomb on the guy was about to go off but he dont even take cover or step back further or anything better, instead he got vry close to the bomb. That it became d most stupid scene ever. No person on the planet would do that in the last 3 sechonds of the bomb.
The line "Come on Vengeance - let's get into some trouble" just hits different. Something about the delivery, the fact she calls him Vengeance almost sarcastically and the following shot of them storming through the club in citizen garb is all just so damn cool.
To me, it's one of the best things about this trailer along with the ending which looks so badass
Yeah definitely. I didn't think I'd be this excited for yet another Batman reboot but something about this feels different. Good mix of the comics, games and Dark Knight Trilogy.

But with every passing trailer, I'm more and more convinced that this will be a great film. Early viewers claim this is the best Batman film since The Dark Knight, which is my favourite film of all time.

Dark, gritty, mysterious, thrilling. That’s what’s been missing in superhero films since Nolan. This looks to deliver it.
This really looks like a proper sequel to the 1989 Batman movies by Tim Burton. The art is just oozing out of these new trailers.

I have very slowly over the course of the last year, become very excited to see this. It was never the must see movie in my mind, but this drip feed of incredible cinematography and the fact that Batman will ACTUALLY be "The World's Greatest Detective" this time has me so hopeful to what comes next.

Man, words can't describe how eagerly I am waiting for this movie. Pattinson's Batman voice is amazing "Selina, don't throw your life away". Dano's Riddler voice is amazing as well and the delivery of lines he provides. Also, SFX artists should get a raise for these punch noises, they sound powerful.
It got me wondering... are those people in the end Riddler's goons? Looks like the end of the movie, where Bruce and Selina team up to take Riddler down once and for all.
