"Conservative media host and commentator Steven Crowder can be seen on a Ring Camera video berating his wife Hilary, who was at the time nearly eight months pregnant, and demanding that she handle medicine for his dogs that she was concerned was toxic to pregnant women. In the video, he snaps at her to put on her gloves to give his dogs medicine, walk the dogs, and otherwise "perform wifely duties," as she is clearly emotionally distressed.
Towards the end of the exchange, Hilary Crowder says to her husband, "Your abuse is sick," he snaps at her, saying, "Watch it. F****** watch it."
Moments later, off camera, Steven Crowder, by his admission, would lose control and scream at his pregnant wife in a threatening tone, "I will f*** you up," which led his wife to flee their home"

That's called a malignant narcissist. I lived with one for 18 years. He always made me second guess myself that i was the problem. I was never good enough. Never a good enough cook, housekeeper, wife, mother, etc etc. I stayed because i thought it was best for my kids until the day my 12 yr old told me i need to leave him...

Well it seems normal to me only because I am used to bring treated much much worse. So normal yes, but definitely still disgusting. I have come to feel, from conversations with friends, that most men are like this guy, they generally look down on women..Francesca is a lucky woman if she is surprised and shocked by this.

When my wife was pregnant and after I made sure her every need was covered. To me that is a real man. Even further I changed 90% of diapers. Cooking, cleaning and taking care of the house is rewarding for me. It really feels good helping the ones you love.

I am more conservative than I am liberal but I was treated this way by my husband and you can only take so much mental abuse before you just lose your own mind. I myself was also pregnant with twins and being treated like that by my husband. I laughed at eight and a half years of him before I finally had to pull the plug because I couldn't take it anymore and he never had any self-reflection to understand his role in the problem. Instead of working problems out or talking about what he's upset about he just threw darts at me constantly. So it doesn't matter if you're a liberal or republican nobody wants to be treated that way. I am probably the Swedish equivalent of an American liberal, but I actually dislike political labels - especially the extreme labels that seem to divide Americans.
In Sweden we don't have nearly that same level of polarisation (even though there of course exist strong political polarisations here as well), and people here can usually get along quite well even if they have different political opinions.

I'll admit I'm speculating here, and there are more possible situations that these, but I've seen it before where one spouse insists on only one car to either restrict their partner's freedom, or as leverage in playing the victim when their spouse needs to use it. And even this short clip gives a decent amount of clues that it could be one or both of them.

Ah, behold the wholesome Christian family. Don't get me wrong; Anyone who has been in a long relationship can tell you that a three minute clip from an argument without context, can look and sound pretty horrible, and way worse than it actually is. However, what makes me see red flags here is not him being mean in and of itself, but specifically _what_ he says and _how_ he says it; "Do wifey things", "discipline and respect", "I don't love you" etc, is beyond things you should be able to say to your wife. And the way he says it does not make it sound like an unfortunate outburst of anger/frustration in a heated moment, it sounds much more calm and calculated than that, he knew exactly what he was doing.
Being mean in and of itself IS a major red flag, even if it's being mean to a weak, weird, stupid person - especially if it's not an isolated incident. It's a precursor to hate crimes, other violent crime, "white collar crime" and even still-legal but truly dishonorable business practices. As for Christian, I never saw him as Christian, just the guy that "back in the day" was a popped-collar peacocking AlphaBro type that you see in just about any bar, party, or any other place associated with alcohol.

I used to teach a class to perpetrators of domestic violence. This behavior IS domestic abuse whether there is physical or not. Not to mention studies show that emotional abuse is far worse than physical.

I used to follow Crowder, but as time went on, I began to notice his hypocrisy towards Christianity by mocking those on the opposite side. Christianity does not stand with him and his crude jokes, and improper language. This video further cements that his claims of being a Christian are utterly FALSE. Prayers for the wife and her pregnancy.
I used to follow Crowder. I loved his early videos that had views more of that of a libertarian. His early video showing how there is no difference between "Democratic socialism" and traditional socialism was wonderful.
Then, as time went on, he became more of an establishment politician, less of a libertarian/constitutionalist and more just pure-right wing. I've seen multiple instances where people have gone on his show, said they had a wonderful conversation with Crowder, where Crowder expressed more laid-back, reasonable beliefs that he said he would never express on his show, and he became an extremist when the camera was on. That tells me he's a sell out. The beliefs aren't his, but rather, they are the beliefs he is paid to parrot.
Recently Crowder said several times in one setting that he doesn't blame his divorce on his twins (Which are 18 months old). AWFUL
