The most magical place of the entire existence for me, so many doors opened for me because of this game, I am really glad of having experienced such a majestic piece of art 💖 Thank you so much Final Fantasy XII.
@@jimmymackinnon8474 I have multiple levels of nostalgia for this game and even I don't think the story is up to par with 10 or 7. It _does_ have the most consistently good OST though, no song is bad and some are among the best. Also definitely the best battle system.
@@jacobesterson Yeah I can see that. My top 3 FF games are FF 12 TZA, 7 and 13-2 in that order. FF 13-2 is nowhere near the best as far as OST or story is concerned but it is a gorgeous game and boy is it fun to play. I’ve played most of the mainline Final Fantasies btw, and 7 was my first one.
This game and it's incredible music is etched into my being and has helped create a foundation of creativity that I rely on in my professional and personal life. It's a true masterpiece.
The aesthetic of this game very distinctly informs a lot of my personal envisaging of my fantasy world i create and base my stories in. In my opinion, the best universe built in Final Fantasy.
How this place changes from arid drylands to a rainsoaked wetlands is a marvel that Square Enix could no longer produce.. A testament and memory of bygone days... Square cares only about VII these days...
I love this theme, my 2nd favorite is probably a tie between Abandoning Power & Time For A Rest. I love this entire OST but those stand out the most to me.
This isn't bad but I need that harp more present in the foreground like the original instead of it being more in the background. My main gripe with this.
I didn't have played the remastered game, but you have the oak Pole and make 30dmg? can you get the pole now early? :) in the normal game i have the oak pole after the barheim passage and one hit hyenas and wolfs o: i like the remake of this theme x3
They changed it so that most weapon types can be accessed from the start of the game instead of being introduced later in the game, and that meant they needed to be balanced for the start of the game, hence the low attack power you see here.
The instruments sound so beautiful and clear in this version but the balance feels a little off. It wouldn't bother me if the original didn't also exist. It frustrates me that both versions of the soundtrack are so beautiful in different ways, because then I have to have both...
@@pennyprince I'm not using it as a technical term, I think what I meant is the way some instruments are way louder or quieter than I'm used to (in the original version of the song).
I think the flute, more than overbearing is underwhelming for the build-up that preceded it. It has too soft of a sound for the role it's trying to fill
This remastered OST has been fantastic, but let's be real.. This song was completely butchered in the remastered version... They only had ONE job, a moral obligation with: Dalmasca Eastersand Giza Plains Time for a Rest Walk among gods Eyrut Village Everything else. Everyone of those is ok but they destroyed their second best piece in the whole OST BIG big time. The violins are playing with the accent in a different tone WHY!!! Sometimes they even play something entirely different WHY!! And the transition at 1:45 is SO Horribly done. WHY!!! The whole remastered version is incredible, but THIS, PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND.
yep. They screwed the volume of the basson at 1:47. But to be fair that basson line was always there in the original but at a very low volume to blend in with the transition
@@KeyleeTamirian 6 years ago... man... I still prefer the original... yet I have this one in my `on-loop` playlist still haha. If it would've been released today, I'd simply be grateful that they did a remaster and wouldn't have complained.

FFXII has to have the best OST of any Final Fantasy, ever. It's by far the most adventurous sounding of the lot.
Not only does it have the best OST, it also has the best story and the best battle system.
Yeah!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Giza plains is one my favorite ff12 theme because I spend my early game grinding there. So it somewhat etched into my memories
And Dalmasca Eastersand.
It’s my favorite area and track in the whole game. It feels like the start of a great adventure.

@@Novarcharesk Same.
That version is good but in my opnion, the original is more intense.
Strongly agree with you
Ikr
Literally how? 🤣
alright those two squirrel things rolling over each other at the start of the clip are cute...
Giza Rabbits. Just to clarify. Not trying to be mean or anything here.
Giza rabbits. I died from them my first time *sweats* the stronger you are sometimes they give potions.
This is Serious Squirrel Soundtrack Music.
It keeps switching between heavy rain and sunshine outside so I thought might as well play this to go along lol
This remaster looks and sounds amazing!
This is the song of ADVENTURE
I loved this area
Shit seems so serious when you get here.
But then after enduring the late game material, this seems like kid stuff.
How this place changes from arid drylands to a rainsoaked wetlands is a marvel that Square Enix could no longer produce..
A testament and memory of bygone days...
Square cares only about VII these days...
ff16 and ff14 had amazing soundtrack and visuals, i dont know what are you talking about...
The best theme next to Salikawood and Feywood
phon coast 4 lyf
I love this theme, my 2nd favorite is probably a tie between Abandoning Power & Time For A Rest. I love this entire OST but those stand out the most to me.
feywood is so good
FFXII ❤
I have sand on my feet and warm breeze on my face listening to this music
It's so good ❤
There's final fantasy in heaven!
Love it
I remember this area because of the Giza rabbits 🐇
Influence: Paul Verhoeven's Total Recall?
this location is like a maze for me

I swear when I was a kid I thought Giza Plains and Tchita Uplands had the same OST lol 😁
Yes they had the same ost in the original and in IZJS, but in Zodiac age they give Tahitian uplands its own new ost
I like to play the game with the original OST. It is more nostalgic to me. This track and the Nalbina Dungeons track are my favorites.
original is better. But this isn't bad

What is balance? Does that mean how it seems to keep dipping in and out?

The original version music is far better. I hear more drums and it's just better.
