It’s a shame this only plays once in the whole entire game. This theme actually gave me a reason to talk to all the npcs for once. The build up is absolutely gorgeous though in this song
Well try looking at it this way: Because it was a small part of the game, the memories and feelings regarding it don't fade away. Don't get me wrong, this theme and Barheim Passage are, so far, my favorites. It sucks they are so temporary, but I feel their strength would become diluted if used too often.
I'm not the biggest FF12 fan, but the way this OST puts you in every location, just chilling or fighting, is a great touch. I wish someone would make it for every FF game.
I finally picked this up a couple weeks ago and was blown away by this track. Combined with the direction in this area, I considered reviewing my Final Fantasy personal rankings. It's only gotten more tempting as I progress. Such an amazing game.
@@dagga19k I played through it twice when it first released on PS2. I always play it blind and then use a guide to pick up all the things I miss, and with the way they designed the treasure and loot system that was pretty legion. As much as there aren't any real story spoilers for me (except details I've forgotten since 2007), I am blown away by the re-recorded OST and think I underappreciated the game in general.
@@seedofwonder Same here, The Zodiac Age helped me reconsider my opinion on this game . I misjudged it when I first played it back in 2007, because it was very different from the previous FFs. But now , I realized how good it really is, and the ZA ost is wonderful!
@@dagga19k That's good. Thankfully I never saw the drama till last year about FF XII so I got to fully enjoy the game without judgement. FF XII deserves a fan club.
I've heard this same drum loop in a youtube video about a meteor and in track 20 of Naruto Ninja Counsel 4, (Source obviously being EastWest/SoundsOnline Percussive Adventures).
One of my favorite locations. How I wish we could revisit it later in the game. I could see the potential as an area for a useful item (like a powerful weapon) or a Boss. Like there's another secret door leading deeper into the dungeon. Just saying is making me picture it.
Imagine a sequel, with all of these areas expanded and new ones added, with more interaction with the npcs, events, weather change, more side quests with lore, be able to explore Archades more, world map, airship.... Omg only a dream
@@whentheworldwasatwar8717Oh, my God! I can picture that for a dungeon like Nalbina. That would be so cool. Even having a Superboss somewhere far below would give this dungeon more significance. Like it was made to house a secret. So much unexplored potential with Nalbina.
@@whentheworldwasatwar8717And XV has done that with the locked doors only accessible later in the game via a key. Nalbina Dungeons could easily be similar to that.

I think this version is far too dramatic for what is basically a ''walking around and talking to people'' scene. This would be better served as an action piece.
>let's tread lightly, shall we?

lol, exactly

LoL 🤣 in FF XII there's no such thing as trending lightly.

Wow, this one is really a wonderful arrangement, I love that part at 1:17 ! Better than the original IMO!
I wish that part felt a tiny bit more like the original, but it is very good!

I wish we could go back to this dungeon later on in the game :(
Me TOO
Same. Like for a Secret Boss or a quest to get something useful. I would have been so happy if we could've. 😊
Sad that this song is only in a small dungeon that we can't go back to hear it.
ikr and this is one of my favorites of the game.

This theme is so epic and story driven. Alas it didn't play enough in the game.

Holy crap this snuck up on me, I knew I didn't dislike this track but the remake is so good that it's now one of my favorites.

What the hell is that instrument?
Let's make an organisation for finding what is that bass instrument ;) :D
it sounds like someone slapping the strings of a grand piano, but what the hell do I know :
Sounds like a santoor maybe
could be a koto
