Cool vid, think I need to do this on my Gtd! Think that’s wheeling could be the power steering belt, check the tensioner (I think). If the engine is hunting it could be the Idle Control valve
My mk3 has a Check valve, on the Return hose line little further back from where it plugs on to pump. Has spring and check ball, maintaining pressure . Cost $45, for $1 of materials. Mine was cracked, leaking fuel.
Thanks for the video! I think I will have to do this project soon on my (new-to-me) 87 Jetta GL and it was good to see you do it. Did you ever find out why it was running badly afterwards? Cheers
4 years later and although your car wasn’t fixed, this video helped fix mine!
Thank you so much 👍🏻
Glad to hear it! I don't remember what the problem ended up being but it runs great now!

When does the next bug video come out?😃
Soon! Been very busy and was out of the country for a while. Just started a new job also, but everything is still going to happen
Okay good to hear back from you :D
Any more bug vids?
Anyone know where I can find the part that holds the gas pump?
That’s what I’m looking for as well
@@fabiobmv Any chance you did?
@@alexperry06 @fabiobmv Which part do you mean? The silver little thing? I replaced that with a hose that fit the inside diameter of the housing.
Never use motor oil for rubber fitting etc just use silicone paste
Check your belts for that squealing noise
Do you have Snapchat?
