A nice explanation - can you be more specific about the short hose you replaced with “corrugated pipe” 8mm/12mm ID you use to replace the doughnut thingy. Thanks
Hi, thanks it was specifically off a Mk4 Golf but there is a company who now make an adapter specific for the replacement of these parts, can't remember off hand but if you Google it it should appear
Submersible fuel hose ideally, I've used the corrugated type on my own lift pump, also used polyurethane pipe on another, the hardest part is getting the right ID that will seal up on the pump and stretch over the body section
@@GreyGooseRestorations thanks think I’ve found a hose but won’t know how much stretch it will have until it turns up. My sender unit need a complete rebuild my car been sitting in a garage 10 years untouched. Everything inside the tank was corroded all 4 wires were brittle and broke off at the slightest touch. Do you know anyone who does rebuild kits. Managed to find everything except the two prong wiring block that connects to the top of the fuel pump.
Cool vid mate, just out of curiosity do you know where to get the seal for the opening in the tank where the lift pump sits? I see you had one sitting on bench
Hi.nice video.i try my lift pump today.and its not send so much.and its keep pissing thru that little hall on a pump.any chance your know where i can get proper lift pump?
Best bet is to contact mk2spares in the UK and dubstock in the UK, both can be found on facebook, try them first see if they have a known good pump. You can still sorce lift pumps from your normal motor factors but they wont be a good quality as a OEM pump 👍
