Please! Get more of those frames made and sell them for two three or even four times your cost! Depending on how much they cost you that is. minus the motor , controller , and battery just as a little diy kit I would easily pay 100-150$ just to avoid the fabrication. Heck, if you included all the components i would easily pay 350-450$ but I’m cheap. You could probably get away with charging whatever you want considering how legit you designed it! If you are able to charge double the cost of what it takes to produce then you could be selling them faster than you can produce them guaranteed. Great design though for real. I’m going to attempt to copy it for my bike that is just like yours. I want to know where you found the parts for the freewheel on the main sprocket! Any chance you can provide a parts list with links? Please please please!

Well done on designing and building the ebike motor, looks great! After watching the video, I have a couple questions about the build. 1. What is the idler gear and spring attached to? The aluminum PCB part? 2. The motor sprocket welded/attached to the bike sprocket, was there already clearance on your bike for the second sprocket or did you have to make modifications? Thanks.

  • @scottrocks1993
    @scottrocks1993 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I also built a mid drive system ebike but using scrap parts.
But the motor is 5 times bigger and is 2000w 84v
Has freewheel on motor & the bottom bracket crank what is homemade
It has cooling mods cooling fans & more.
    It's very powerful & fast
I use it like a motorbike and the motor heats up very fast.
That's my biggest problem with it.
So how does that small motor handle the heat.
I can imagine the size of the motor it will be useless on a bike.
    With more voltage
I can't imagine after 20 minutes of constant used it be ready to melt🔥
There's a reason why people don't use these motors on ebikes.
But the motor is running with 20v hate may not be a problem.
    At that low voltage
I'm surprised it barely moves without you pedalling.
    If it had the power
You can't anyway because it has no
freewheel on the bottom bracket crank.
So you need to pedal at the same speed.
So legs don't get ripped off LOL.
Apart from that you've done amazing job.
    Good quality
I wish I had the machine to do stuff like that.
At the minute I struggle with my hands.
Takes me days hand making simple stuff.
What can be done in minutes on a machine.

This bike was really easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

    • @DAZprojects

@@DAZprojects So assuming an average pedal RPM of 80, the motor is typically spinning around 1000 RPMs?

    • @DAZprojects

@@MrHamncheez yes, infact the gear reduction should ideally be lower, the perfect one should be 1:20 but i didn't have enough space to fit it. However after building it i came across a strange type of cycloidal drive which gives huge reduction in a tiny space while needing only 2 components so remaining super simple.
