Man, I know the feel you in the ‘not having ridden in ages’ thing. My GSXR600 got taken out parked outside the house, and I’ve not been able to get another one yet. :( The R1 sounds gorgeous :)
It's been hard but think I'm going to get another 09-14. Got a amazing deal like u. Paid 5k because of some repairs needed plus dropped a little. After repairs I spent 7k all together. Then fresh tires some upgrades and just got stolen a few days ago. Ugh not even months ownership. Sounds so much better than 15+ they should to revvy.(likely due to higher compression)
If Toce doesn't work out try a different exhaust and shorten the pipe to line up with the taillight, looks waaaaaaaay better. Or hell I've even seen some people switch to side mounts
Yeah, Rudy Creek right in "Downtown Rudy" haha. We used to swim there and they used to have a rope swing that you could swing off of that old train bridge. The only downside is it's only like 6 feet deep at the deepest spot. We also used to swim north of Alma on Rudy creek where 282 crosses over 49. I think it's actually called 282 swimming hole or something like that.
