The reason the warp drive failed against the Turtlelord is that the Croissantslaang had no speed when it teleported. Thus is just fell back into the line of the shells.
A 1km PAC will blast off any enemy gun if it can hit. And ripping off weapons is the most valuable use of your action economy. Enemies with no weapons are good enemies. The point is you should have a main weapon/group that can disarm without regards to efficiency then once disarmed you can swap to a secondary efficiency focused group. What these weapons will look like depend on the platform. Anything else is nonsense low quality build strategy.
Should the warp be triggered by an approaching volley.. But how to actually do that? Maybe with multiple munition warners and such.. With the jump when a big one spawns might work better if it had a little bit of delay..
So correct if I'm wrong but since warp drives aren't good for large crafts (cause inefficient) and it's not that useful for smaller craft cause lasers don't care. The end result is that warp drives might be useful for small subs and not much else. Idk maybe that's an overly negative way to look at it.

Yup, completely true.
The idea: more guns = better . in practice: the guns and the high profile makes it wasteful and easy to hit. I think we learned something
Looking at dreadnought battleship designs from the HMS Dreadnought to the Iowas... superior fire control supercedes superior number of guns.

If warp drives were good for large craft, it would have been absurdly annoying.
True. I believe they were patched for exactly that reason.
